Eric Moulds took a predicatable shot at David Carr before being released, basically blaming him for the team's failures. This clown was absolutely invisible in that offense last season, and looked about as fast as the average construction worker running his patterns. His signing was heralded as a great triumph for the Texans, and along with the team drafting a couple of offensive tackles in the THIRD round of the draft (the highest round they had ever drafted any offensive linemen during their existance), it was said that David Carr now had "no more excuses." Moulds certainly gave Carr some weapon out there, and the linemen were either injured or just as bad as the derelicts they've put in front of him his entire career. Anyhow, it was humorous to see Moulds released by the Texans only a day or two after he blamed Carr for the team's woes. Btw, it will be interesting to see what happens with Carr now. The Texans have boxed themselves in by being their typically incompetent selves, bad mouthing Carr through news leaks and basically letting other teams know they don't want him any more. Now, all their other options (Plummer, Garcia, etc.) are unavailable and they either have to somehow keep Carr (and deal with what is sure to be his even more damaged self-confidence) or go with the scintillating Sage Rosenfels as a starter. As for starting Walter or Anderson, I would be shocked if they gave either of them a chance. Don is almost certainly correct in predicting they will simply scan the wires for any breathing black veteran, who will be instantly named the #2 WR.
