Raiders coach Tom Cable wants Michael Bush to convert to fullback, where he thinks Bush can be a "special player in this league."
Smartly, Bush has relentlessly fought the move. Even if he isn't going to make it as a tailback and fullback would get him on the field more, the move to lead blocker would significantly limit his long-term earning potential. He's much better off staying at tailback and hoping for an offseason trade.</font>
What about this? Staying on the bench is now a "smart move" ? What's more important now is your "earning potential", not your playing time? He'll be better off "hoping for an off-season trade" ??? wtf is wrong with the world today!?
How about Peyton Hillis ignoring coaches orders and losing 20 pounds in the offseason so he can be a full-time TB? That's what's good for his "earning potential". If they don't like it he'll just wait for a trade! That would be a smart move! Brian Leonard should do the same, Hester too. Who cares what your boss says... got to pay the bills you know?
