Sadly Tom Iron has passed away. Don made mention in another thread. I will see if I can dig it up.
 
That is pleasantly good news. Reviewing the Cards a few years in a row, it’s staggering how fast they’re purged all the Whites from their roster, especially on defense. He wouldn’t have gotten a fair shake there. Hard to believe the days of Kilff Kucksbury looked good by comparison.

Bucs waive QB Michael Pratt. He was a prospect I liked coming out of Tulane 2 seasons ago. There isn’t much QB development in this league. I saw the Bucs signed the recently retired immortal Teddy Bridgewater.

Sewer water was canned after one year of being Head Coach at his High school Alma Matter.. He was paying his student affletes and got caught. Gets rewarded with a sympathy contract from Tampa.

Trask played well in game one of the preseason. Let’s hope he keeps up the solid performance throughout the preseason.
 
Good news regarding Trask, another year behind Baker and he should garner some interest as a starter down the line somewhere else.
 
The Bucs have now also signed Christian Rozeboom to a one-year deal. Sounds like a backup arrangement but veteran Lavonte David announced his retirement today so tackling machine Rozeboom has a chance to start inside next to Anzalone.

Tampa isn't the worst landing spot in the league, especially compared to the team Rozeboom is escaping from, Carolina, which currently projects to have a single White starter in '26, center Luke Fortner. What a complete Caste tool Dan Morgan turned out to be.

Was not consistent or effective at Kansas, had an average preseason but yes he is certainly the best QB available to be a backup.

LOL! They gave him the game 3 start to "earn his spot" and he bombed tremendously. Tampa was shutout.

I'd be shocked if they open the season with him as the #2 QB. They likely didn't like how Browning performed and they are waiting to see what veteran is cut who they can pick up after all the cuts are final. Even for the negrophile NFL, this would be a huge stretch to go with Daniels (who's subpar in every way).
 
The Buccaneers have signed Brett Rypien - but only to the practice squad. They are planning to bump either him or Easton Stick, the other QB on their practice squad, up to the 53-man roster, but whichever one gets the callup will still be behind Juhlon Daniels, who is inexplicably still listed as the starter for as long as Mayfield is out.

Several sportswriters have urged Tampa to trade for Steelers backup QB Mason Rudolph, a move that would make sense for both teams. Pittsburgh has 4 QBs on its roster, and they could keep the two young, high-upside guys Howard and Allar while getting a draft pick for Rudolph. Tampa would get someone who is at the very least a solid bridge QB who can keep them in playoff contention until Mayfield is ready to return.
 
Rudolph makes sense! Wouldn’t mind seeing Easton Stick out there either when Daniels fails.
