From someone who quit watching football for the lastr couple years and couldn't resist tuning in to watch Brady put a beat down on the chiefs, it definitely looks like Mahomes is only successful because of Kelce. Dude is always open, and always the one Mahomes is looking for to throw to. Take Kelce away and Mahomes looks like an average QB that can scramble. But i could be wrong, i haven't been keeping up with football. THat's just my impression from watching this game.

The Bucs got pressure on the Chiefs all night. The supposed best offensive mind in the league who should have his pick of what job he wants according to the media Eric Bienimy made no adjustments to account for the loss of their franchise left tackle Eric Fisher. They went into the game with the same plan of attack they usually would. They had success running the ball but did not stick with it.

I think this game illustrated perfectly how important those 2-3 momentum and game changing 3rd and 18 type backyard football type “luck” plays are for Wilson and Mahomes. Without them they couldn’t get anything going. And ironically it was due to drops on what should have been simple catches

You make a very strong & valid point. Travis Kelce was the 2nd leading receiver in the nfl with over 1400 yards. He is his go to guy no matter what and Kelce makes catches many other tightends could never make. He is like a heavier version of a tall wide receiver
with speed to burn and power to go along with it. Best tightend I've ever seen. Kelce at the tightend postion has went over 1000 yards 5 consecutive years now! So yes Mahomes owes him so much of his success!

Tom Brady winning his 7th Super Bowl title at age 43 is like nothing else in football history. Remember, Brady was a 6th round draft choice and wasn't highly touted coming out of college as Peyton Manning was. There will be more great white QBs.

Tom Brady was the second QB to win a Super Bowl with different teams, Manning was the first, but Brady was first QB to be Super Bowl MVP with different teams. Brady is the first to win with teams from both the AFC and NFC.

No this win is unprecedented, I could say it's similar to Nicklaus winning the Masters in 86' but golfing isn't physically demanding like football. Maybe Foreman winning the title in 95' but Foreman beat a journeyman champion in Moorer.

All week, the caste sports media have been telling us that it didn't matter that the Chiefs offensive line was banged up because Mahomes is the most talented QB to ever play the game. The Mutt then goes out and turns in quite possibly the worst QB Super Bowl performance of the last decade. Suddenly, the Chiefs offensive line woes are to blame and Mahomes is completely blameless despite putting up two awful Super Bowl performances in as many years. I simply can't wait until that half a billion dollar contract begins to take effect and we get to see many more such performances.

Here's my take on the Chiefs OL.

LT- Remmers: He's 31, and looked washed. Good career for an undrafted player, but time to hang em up.
LG- Allegretti: An example of a true developmental project with real upside. I think he'll eventually develop into a solid IOL. EDIT: I'll also add his biggest issue appeared to be awareness, Sometimes he would lose track of how the play developed as D-linemen shed blocks and looked for gaps, and whiff on an assignment, but I think this will improve over time with experience and coaching. Still had some good 1-on-1 reps vs massive Vita Vea. Should remain a starter next year and I think he's an up-and-comer.
C- Reiter: The bright spot. Didn't think he was particularly bad though he did get flagged for a hold. An impending FA, I hope he gets a good payday. Will be a solid consolation prize for a center-needy team that misses out on/can't afford Corey Linsley. Not All-Pro level but an underrated center.
RG- Wisniewski: Won 2 Super Bowls (Eagles, Chiefs), had a great career, has bloodlines, but he looks done. There's a reason the Squealers cut him. Was good as recently as last year but didn't quite look the same.
RT- Wylie: He clearly belongs at G. Not a tackle. Good depth guy though. Chiefs DWF's seem to be scapegoating him.

Overall, though the interior was not without faults, most of the pressure came from the edges. All except Reiter are backups, Wylie was out of position, and Remmers and Wisniewski are past their prime, yet of course Weenieworld will likely say the solution is sumos.

Just caught the highlights and couldn't be more delighted for Brady and Gronk (he definitely came out of his retirement last night). Kelce looked like Chiefs best player, one of the few who showed up. Shame about Miller only touching one ball, though.

Sir, BB didn't have a choice in the matter. That came from the top in my opinion. I think the league quietly stepped in and told the Patriot owner that there'd be no more fielding largely White teams. Then they went into quietly deconstructing the White team. Brady saw what was happening and bailed out - just my opinion.

I think you've nailed it, Tom. There had just been too much noise from white fans calling New England the "white team," and much of that was showing up in the press and on Internet sports forums. I'm sure that royally pissed Goodell and all his diversity bureaucrats. Disgusting bunch, and traitors to their own!

I hope that is the case as it seemed BB was fair to his white players (unlike nearly every other coach) but his historically all (or nearly all) black drafts suggest otherwise.

Additionally, given BB’s success and historical standing do we really think he would put up with mandatory quotas from the league? I think if he was told can’t have whites any longer he would tell them to eat dirt and retire.
