"She's out of my league"?

I saw an ad for this movie out this week "She's out of my league", I won't go to see it and I don't care about it but it seems like the 20th film of this type released in the last few years, same subject hot girl, neerdy guy. Girl as superwoman, attractive, smart, and unavailable to the "average Joe". YAWN

Is there really a big market for this kind of movie? Who is the demographic. When I was dating girls and taking them to movies the last thing I would want to see was a movie that made guys look like dorks. Where's the play in that? Are young guys that beat down and wimpy? No wonder the white race is going extinct.

Also saw a few minutes of some TV show called the "Big Bang Theory" same theme, hot girl, but with a group of really nerdy guys. The nerds were very PC though, a white nerd, a jew nerd, an indian nerd, even a "gay" nerd for chrissakes. No black nerd though, must be against the program but the show was completely unfunny. My wife was laughing at the lame "Star Trek" references (every 3 minutes) and I'm telling her "what the hell is so funny?". But she's a woman so I can expect dumb sh*t from her so I guess the only important thing is to appeal to woman. It makes sense, I'm not going to watch the crap on TV. So they might as well sell tampons and douche.

The thing I have noticed about the ads for She's Out of My League is that the girl is slutty. Just being attractive never meant unattainable. To be truly be "in another league" a girl had to have a variety of features (status, tastes, social groupings, etc.) that placed her on an upper level and made her unattainable. Sluttiness tended to bring any girl down to the heathen level of me and my friends.

I am amazed by how much we all think alike. This propoganda to me has always seemed like Jews pushing their own insecurities on the rest of white people.

I noticed this thread while scrolling back through old pages (important to revist old topics from time to time).
I happened to see this movie recently (didn't have to pay for it), and I figured I'd provide some info in case anyone here is curious.
Two things stand out. Firstly, the movie is very unfunny. They tried to set up comical situations, but forgot to include any jokes of any kind. And, honestly, how funny can a movie really be when the longest scene in the film is of one guy shaving another guy's privates (seriously). Secondly, the movie contradicts itself. At the end, the "main idea" is supposed to be that women find confidence to be sexy. But they just throw that in all at once. Throughout the movie the main character doesn't actually suffer from a lack of confidence (except with his own family members). The "conflict" that causes them to break up, leading to reunion in the final act, is nothing more than a misunderstanding.
So, not only is the movie not what it appears to be from the trailers, it's also not consistently themed. This is what happens when the studios step in and force changes to a script that has already begun shooting. Something which happens a lot in Hollywood.
Regarding concerns about this film discussed previously in this thread, the advertisements are misleading. The main character is not a "white wimp" (again, except around his own family). Indeed, he acts supremely confident in his dealings with the "hot girl". But the movie forgets itself in the last five minutes and tries to verbally make a point that the previous hour and a half didn't even come close to.
It's a very poor movie and not worth spending money on (which I didn't). But it's not quite what it appears to be.

Addendum: Although the script itself doesn't make the character out to be a wimp, I'm fully cognizant of the fact that Hollywood still gets their propaganda across through their casting choices, even if people don't see the movie. The selection of the "physically wimpy" actor for the main character helps to reinforce the chosen stereotype of the white American male, despite the fact that the actor is quite atypical among the caucasian population in this country.
