Hopefully Black Panther Adelaide Byrd is not one of the judges. When a white fighter goes up against a black one she always, no matter what, scores it for the black. She did it to Calzaghe when he fought Hopkins. Thats the reason he only got a majority decision.

All the crooked in-house judges and referees in Las Vegas won't be able to save Hopkins.

Did you catch the old racists rant after the fight? Kellerman was interviewing him and said something like if he beats Kovalev and the Black Panther got offended and ended the interview. Man, it's a tough call which scumbag I dislike more, this guy or Mayweather. Kovalev needs to knock this old bum out. No excuses.

I agree with this 33. Course we know Hopkins fight to not get knocked out. Heck even if Kovolev KOs him inside the first round the media will simply say "Bernard got old in the ring tonight".

Nah, I can't stand li'l bug eyes and i have zero interest in what Hopkins has to say.

Of course. Or he "was fighting with one hand". That seems to be a popular one in the negro boxing community these days. I just saw Eddie Chambers trot it out, too. He said he fought Adamek with one hand.

If Hopkins isn't KTFO he will try and feign a foul on a shot that is legitimate but has stunned him or taken the air out of him. If it's a stomach punch he will roll around and feign a low blow, if the shot is on the ribs he will claim a foul to the kidneys or back and if it's high on the head or temple he will argue the back of the head and stall for time that way. Old Man River knows every trick and the book and then some. Really watching him fight over the last few years is a combination of the old 4 corners offense in basketball and a WWF heel like Jessie the Body Ventura....

The old man is somehow beating top fighters like Tavoris Cloud, who I thought was a hype job but still a top 20 fighter, Shumenov, and Pascal. This fight worries me a bit.

Certainly Bopkins qualifies for the boxing HOF. There is really no reason why Sergey can not steam roll him without being reckless. The game plan should be; constant left hand jab to his clown face, then clobber him with Kovalev's lethal body shots. This should be over in 8 rds or Bopkins running and clinching all night. Sergey has long arms and should be able to fend off Bopkins when he attempts a head butt or to clinch. There are no excuses for Kovalev to lose. Sergey has the length, youth, power and stamina to end Bopkin's surreal career.

WA 33, I just saw the replay of the fight and interview. I felt that Bopkins felt Kellerman disrespected him and felt butthurt and went to be consoled by Roy Jones and got into the ebonic zone. LOL Man, for a boxer, Bopkins is so sensitive. Come November Sergey needs to fight smart and destroy Bopkins within 8 rds. No excuses.

On a side note I believe Andre Ward who called the fight and Pauli Malganani (Showtime) are really great on color commentary and insight to the fight game. They are well paid announcers who deserve it.

Sergey Kovalev has a new-born son, who has been named Alexander.

Great news and a great pic. Sergey and his wife look fantastic together. Not that it matters at all, but his wife definitely is atleast half Asian and/or Siberian. She looks more Asian to me than white Euro. Nice couple. Wonder if the son will be a boxer too? Maybe the next GGG lol...

As a white male I also date a lot of Asian (mainly West Asian) females so I can relate to Sergey's choice!

She looks wonderful and very loyal...

There's now only one single threat to Kovalev in his division, and that's another white boy from his own country with only six pro fights.

I like Kovalev by KO in 8 in this fight. I'm fairly confident in that as well. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kovalev win by KO in the early rounds too, rounds 1-4.

Pascal's never been KO'd before but he's been hurt many times, most recently VS Lucian Bute in rounds 11 and 12, Pascal was rocked badly in the last round and I posted on this site that if Bute would have let his hands go earlier in the fight, he would have a good chance of KOing Pascal. Pascal has horrible stamina, fades in every fight in late rounds, and even fades within rounds. He really has stamina issues and is a 4 round fighter.

Kovalev hits harder and more often than Bute so if he starts teeing off on Pascal the way Lucian was in rounds 11 and 12 Pascal will be put unconcsious. He won't get away with that VS Sergey.

I think Sergey will easily KO Pascal. Pascal is past his best and even in his best days (2006-2009) was overrated.

Ha! Where can I get one of those T-shirts? I remember old footage of "The Greatest" Ali punching a miniature gorilla toy and saying that is was Joe Fraser.
