Don, you forgot Track and Field. Blacks rarely talk about it but they love it just as much as football or basketball. Go to any highschool track meet and you see them congregate at the 100m, long jump, and 200m hollering and whooping about how fast their favorite brotha can run and then compare him to Bolt. Luckily at the one I went to a white man in a final heat of 4 other blacks beat them. In the numbers they do track they should be winning. They don't like T&F in the numbers of other sports but in proportion to whites they participate in T&F like 10x more.

After basketball football and track and field are tied. Golf at an older age amongst the middle class blacks that think they can play any sport better than whites because the media says so.

Look at dumb they look when their players like Rondo shoot a basketball. It is so uncoordinated. I can look normal throwing a football, hitting a three, or swinging a bat. I highly doubt many blacks are capable of this. They specialize in one sport like T&F, football, or b-ball and try to go pro in it or give up to their ghettoes to denounce white athletes on the internet.

Why the hell are so many whites so ready to believe blacks are better than us at sports?

Great post Don. I hope your right. It does seem as if there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It can't get here soon enough. I get so tired of all of the bashing. I fear however that as our numbers of the white population decline, the levels of our athletes we love to watch might decline. I hope I'm wrong.

The biggest keys is for white families to have more kids. Also for us to teach the kids about the double standards and tell them that they can play any sport they want. From a sprinter, to a running back, to a boxer. Talent equals hard work, plus opportunity, plus desire.

What do you mean by "lack of 'coattails?"

You are absolutely right. Other than football -where blacks are a protected species- white numbers will stay high and black numbers will fall. In T&F though, blacks really are only notworthy in the sprints and some African distance runners. The rest of T&F is wide open to all, especially whites.

- After Serena Williams went Mike Tyson on a linesperson at the US Open, you thought her 2010 would be free of drama? Think again.

Serena, who earlier this month when asked about retaining the No. 1
ranking in 2010 replied, "Everyone assumes that I'm No. 1 anyway,"Â￾ lost
in the WTA Sydney final on Saturday to Russian Elena Dementieva 6-3,
6-2 when the younger Williams sister's chronic knee problem flared up.


Dementieva is the first woman since Martina Hingis in 2001 and 2002 to win Sydney in consecutive years.


"I'm very satisfied with the way I was playing today and the whole
week,"Â￾ Dementieva said. "It's just great to have a chance to play
against the best players in the world this week, especially coming into
the Grand Slam. Right now I just want to enjoy the moment of winning
Sydney."Â￾


Williams had little chance with her hampered court movement as the
Russian tacked groundstrokes corner to corner, hitting a flurry of
winners throughout the contest.


"It's just a little pain and the strapping usually helps the pain go
away sometimes,"Â￾ said Williams of her strapped left knee. "I haven't
played for two months on a competitive level, so I think it's good for
my body to go through this now, especially since I'm in doubles as well
as singles. I think it's a great blessing in a way. I played four

Serena Williams undergoes emergency surgery

(Reuters) - Serena Williams is recovering in a Los Angeles hospital after undergoing emergency treatment for a blood clot in her lungs, People magazine reported on Wednesday.


Tennis officials were unable to confirm the report but a representative for the 29-year-old Williams told the magazine she was treated on Monday after falling ill.


"Monday Serena Williams underwent emergency treatment at Cedars (Sinai Medical Center) for a hematoma she suffered as a result of treatment for a more critical situation," Nicole Chabot told People.


"Last week, Serena suffered from a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lungs) which was discovered upon her return to L.A. She had been in New York for doctor appointments for the ongoing issues with her foot."


The former world number one has not played competitively since winning last year's Wimbledon title after cutting her foot on broken glass at a restaurant in Germany.


Williams, who has fallen to 11th in the world rankings during her extended layoff, has undergone at least two operations on her foot and was preparing to return to training soon.

Watching pretty White girls/women in short skirts having nice volleys is why I LOVE female tennis. Watching a ridiculously dressed black ho built like a man and hitting like one is not my idea of enjoyable viewing. Serena is whining again. Today at Wimbledon: "They like to put us on Court 2, me and Venus, for whatever reason. I haven't figured it out yet. Maybe one day we'll figure it out. I don't know."

This is a constant complaint of Serena. First of all the people who pay big money to watch at centre court want to see real matches not 6-1 6-0 in 50 minutes. Second of all, most people don't like watching her because, well, they don't like her very much! No doubt what she and her father think the reason for her being sent to play in smaller courts. (Go ahead take a guess!) Her demands for respect show she doesn't understand the world beyond the black-dominated US sports culture. In Europe you get respect when you deserve it, not when you DEMAND it.

Whlie talking about Nadal's and Federer's parents being invited to view their sons matches from the Royal Box at Wimbledon's Centre Court Fowler says "I'm wondering when Mr Williams is going to get a similar invitation". (Exact or pretty close to exact words). Brad Gilbert then expresses disbelief that with all the championships the Williams sisters have won Richard Williams hasn't been invited to the Royal Box. Fowler then said how weird it is. I guess we all know what he is hinting.

Can you imagine a clown like Williams in the Royal Box? He'd go out of his way to be obnoxious. Probably would dress like a slob and start an argument with someone.

Serena can’t be seeded beyond her actual ranking. She’ll even tell you that. She unfortunately had some slight swelling in her big toe, causing her to default in the second round in Cincinnati last week. This is serious, what’s wrong with these people who don’t see the implications for the U.S. Open.

The author of the linked article says that Serena's outburst two years ago at a lineswoman is one reason for her poor ranking. This tells me the author knows little about how tennis works. If female players like Serena could ignore all non-Grand Slam tournaments and still get a very high ranking a lot of them would do so. That would pretty much destroy the WTA tour. Already the WTA is having to leech off the men's tour playing at the same events in order to get the public to notice them and to get revenue they would not get from stand alone women's tour events. Using a ranking system to determine who they play in the early rounds of majors like the US Open is one of the few weapons the sport's organizers have to use against players who'd rather be modelling or sunning themselves by the pool.

I don't like bullies. I think they're the scourge of the universe. [...] What happens in the sport of tennis is that there are no substitutions. The player has so much power on that court. If you throw her off the court, the match is over. It's not like in any other team sport where someone is acting like an ​ass-clown and you can toss them out and the game continues. Believe me, tennis players have always understood how much power they have and they've pretty much always understand how much abuse they could dole out before they get in trouble."

If the USTA and WTA continues to act as if they need Serena more than she needs them, this behavior will continue. Fine her $250,000, ban her from the Australian Open and demand a public apology before she's allowed to play another major. If she balks, so be it.
None of this will happen, of course, because the idea of a primetime Saturday night U.S. Open final next year between Vera Zvonareva and Francesca Schiavone would be a disaster. So Serena will continue to get away with her antics, just like usual.

The recently retired chief racket-stringer of the All England Club went on record saying that the two most horrible human beings he knows were the Williams sisters. They were rude, treated him as an underling, and never said thanks. Par for the court. I still know a few oldies connected with the game, and they have more or less told me the same thing. The Williams family has a lot to learn where manners and sportsmanship are concerned. Solipsism is an essential part of being a great athlete, but the Williams girls, especially Serena, also like to play the victim.
