Saints or Colts?

After watching the Vikings dominate the Saints on both sides of the ball I am having a hard time believing the Saints can keep up with the Colts. Manning could have a very big day.

I'm pulling for the Colts, but not staunchly. I like how the Colts have been one of the fairest teams (if not the very fairest) in the league to white players (although that doesn't say much nowadays). I'm a big Collie fan. Manning's Super Bowl victory, along with his phenomenal production, already puts him as one of the GOAT.
Brees is amazing though- I would like to see him get more credit. It would be great for New Orleans if the Saints win after all the havoc Katrina wrecked on the city and how the owner stuck with the city instead of moving the team. Should be a good game with lots of whites to cheer for that had to fight for respect (Collie, Brees, Fujita, Shanle)

I am looking for Brees, Shockey, David Thomas, Kyle Eckel, S Fujita, Shanle, Charleston (who did play quite a bit against the Vikings, got some pressure on Favre) Collie, Clark, Manning to have big games.
The Saints will be able to keep up with the Colts. The thing holding them back in the Vikings game was the entire offensive gameplan was designed to stop Jared Allen. They slowed him down but it gave Brees less receiving options, lots of two tight end sets, sometimes 3 (both with Strief as an extra blocker, he even lined up as a fullback, yet supposedly isn't athletic enough to play left tackle full time)
This game will be majority sumos going against an all black defense(except Stinchcomb and Strief who will be an extra blocker from time to time). I don't see why there aren't more White DT's and Defensive ends, as more teams use sumos this would greatly benefit defenses. Some of the overrated sumos are able to handle speed rushers but they struggle to handle guys like Allen who have a combination of power and speed, its like they have no strength at all. The worst game Brees had this season was against the Bills, who coincidentally, have a few White guys on the Dline, they were able to own the Sumos on the Saints and had Brees backpedaling for the majority of the game, he can work with little time, but he was getting nanoseconds to throw in that game. Brees will have all day to throw against the Colts and their undersized affletes. This is going to be a high scoring game. Plus last game Shockey was still having the toe problem and bruised his knee, the Saints offense is not the same without him, he should be healthy.
Saints to win this one. Shockey to be MVP, first TE to be mvp of the Superbowl. Highly unlikely heh but i hope he has a great game. Im looking for Brees to get a superbowl win and solidify his spot as an elite quarterback. All the negatives constantly said about him "oh he doesnt have the size, he lacks this or that" but I wouldn't be upset if Manning gets another ring, but they are playing up the black coach thing, even though Caldwell isn't the reason for the success, they have mentioned him and how well he has done this year quite a bit on tv. If the Colts win this will be the 3rd time in the past 4 years that a black coach has won.
Interesting matchup will be Collie vs whoever Saints line up against him. Saints fans think the Saints will be able to shut him down because they shut down Welker to only 30 or 40 yards. The thing is, they held Welker that entire game, literally. Illegal contact/pi etc. The flags should be thrown this game, the only flag thrown against the Patriots is when Welker was actually shoved down while running his route.Edited by: dwid

Colts all the way. An Indy win will cement Manning's legacy as an all-time great to the point that only the drunkest of the DWFs will be able to dispute it. I'd like to see Peyton match or exceedthe four Super Bowl rings that Montana and Bradshaw have, but bottom line he needs at least a second one. If he stays healthy he's going to break all of Favre's records (including possibly his Iron Man record) and eventually be almost universally acknowledged as what he is, the best quarterback ever.

Manning will be recognized as the best QB ever to play if the Colts win and he has a good game. It's really amazing that so many DWFs don't like him. It would have been unamiginable in 1966 for Johnny Unitas to have been unpopular with a large segment of pro football fans.
The Colts have "been there" and the Saints haven't. During the history of the Super bowl, the team with previous SB experience will usually win. We will see if this pattern holds true in this game.

Pulling for the Colts...mostly due to Manning (best in NFL at QB), Collie & Clark.

I want the Colts to win, but I think the Saints pack more firepower at this time, and the Colt's D is vulnerable. The Saints pull steadily away and double the Colt's scoring. Something along the line of 30-15, 40-20, in that neighborhood.
The Colts start 1 more white than the Saints but have the coal black defense and the affirmative action coach. Plus, both teams use a lot of white subs. So I say go Saints even though I am not too interested in the NFL and hope it fades in popularity due to its rampant racism.

I have to go with the Colts on this one. As Thrashen said hopefully Clark and Collie have great games and one of them is named the MVP. Collie will have an even better year next year.

It's all about the Colts. Austin Collie is my 2nd favorite reciever after Welker. I'm hoping he has a huge game in front of a world wide audience. Come on Peyton Manning!

Several issues make me dislike both teams and organizations, but I have to go with the Colts for the simple reason that they have more Whites skill players on offense. This should have more visual effect on the casual DWF. I hope Austin Collie wins MVP, or at least has a really good game. Peyton Manning will become a legend with another Super Bowl win.

Im going for the Saints as they actually play Whites on defense (2 starting linebackers, a DE that has been seeing about 30 percent of the snaps in the playoffs, and a S that sees some playing time in a few packages that the d coordinator has), and have a White coach. Colts only have one more White starter than the Saints and I think the black head coach negates that. The Saints don't have a White wide receiver but both Shockey and Thomas line up as receivers at times. Dwfs wont notice the much Whiter line of the Colts, but they will notice linebackers and a DE. Both teams have great White receiving tight ends but the Colts have a White receiver, id say they are pretty much tied.
The winner is not that important for me, but having a good time with my Dad is and he will be rooting for the Saints. He isn't as aware of the discrimination in sports even though i mention it quite a bit, he is starting to come around.
The most important thing is for all White players to have monster games. This is just another game, but it is extremely hyped up so millions will be watching(the Superbowl seems to be more hyped up every year)Edited by: dwid

I agree. The last time the Patriots won it, Tom Brady was clearly the MVP, butas he had won it the year before it was given to Deion Branch. Branch has been an oft-injured, mediocre receiver his entire career, but he cashed in on that undeserved award with a huge contract from the Seahawks. In four seasons in Seattle his highest output has been 725 yards.

I hope Manning tears it up passing, but I don't want to see that overhyped Pierre Garcon to have a good game. The caste media vermin have been hyping him recently (due to his Haitian descent). ESPN ran some pro-caste bit on Garcon's rise from D3 Mt.Union to the NFL. Well, only because he's given an opportunity, whereas a much better player (also from a small-college), Danny Woodhead, gets hardly any reps for the Jets.
I don't like the Dolts or 'Aints (per se), BUT I do want to see key White players do well tonight...Manning, Collie, Clark, Brees, Shockey, Dave Thomas, Fujita, etc.). WPWW!

Yeah Dixie, same here about Garcon. I've done the stats and he has been the Colts least reliable receiver for most of the season, yet he gets thrown to more often than almost anyone on the team. I hope he comes down with a case of alligator arms today.
