Saints LBs: "The Snow Patrol"

last season the "Snow Patrol" combined for 309 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 3 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, and 11 pass break-ups. what part of that statline is somehow un-impressive for a linebacking corps?


they are a gifted bunch, plain and simple.


Mark Simoneau: 73 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 pbu


Scott Fujita: 119 tkls, 3.5 sacks, 2 ints, 2 forced fumbles, 8 pbu's

By all accounts the Saints were going to draft A. J. Hawk until Houston passed on Bush. That might have been considered a borderline hate crime or something had the Saints had Fujita, Shanle, Hawk and Simoneau as their linebackers.

Yeah its a fact the Saints were sent on selecting Hawk with the #2 overall pick but we all know Houston blew that.

You're right, they should be called on it every time by as many of us as possible. Whites ridiculing whitesis the national pastime, not baseball or football.

Boy, you have on all white linebacking unit in the Nfl and everyone likes to rip into the them. They are all good players, maybe not the best, but they are solid. What is that moron writer trying to prove other than how stupid and ignorant he is? I find it funny that there are not many whites at linebacker. Should be about 80 % or more whites at this position and many others. The only position I can say that would be 50/50 is cornerback. Thats it.

He (that Hensch guy) is such a quisling. He's comes off as one of those effete little losers who rejects his own heritage and thinks that promoting everyone else makes him a good person. He probably gets punked all the time.

Is it that important what a moron thinks? We all know those 3 guys are decent players, easily worthy of being starters in the NFL. Plenty of all black defenses this season would have lost just as bad to the Colts, and will.

Black players now enjoy a huge advantage in NFL football because they blend into each other. Whenever a black player is bad, it's hard for spectators to figure out because they're almost all black.Edited by: nevada
 
It is important, because impressionable seventeen year old's read that kind of crap and think there is some truth to it and think it's cool to say similar things. There is NO way a black kicker would be treated like that - he would be the Tiger Woods of the NFL.

I think the point is that when the Colts destroy an all black defense, and they will destroy several all black defenses this season with all black linebackers, no writers will be talking about how the black players need to be replaced.

I think that this is as good as it can be stated and the reason the Castefootball has such a loyal following. I will be stunned if anybody writes or says that an all black linebacking corps needs a white player or two after their team is defeated by the Colts.
 
I'd like to see a stat breakdown of how many of Indy's TD's were scored against the Saints all-black defensive backfield, compared to how many were scored on running plays or with linebackers in coverage.

And Shanle is very inexperienced, isn't he? The guy deserves a chance to learn. And to top it off it was against the best offense in the league.

I think the best response would be to name a few bad black starters post their stats and ask. "When will the Affirmative Action experiment end with black players like this guy? And there are plenty of them." Aaron Brooks could be a really good one. Or how about Dennis Northcutt, Bobby Wade or Keary Colbert? How about Josh Reed or Mike Williams still being a third WR? Or how about the whole Cardinals O-line, or the Falcon WR corps. What a crock that man is.
 
But Tough J, don't you know that if these white guys can't stop the best offense in the league, then they suck and should immediately be replaced by black guys? Especially if 3 touchdowns were scored on a black corner, it's the white linebackers' fault.

Ugh. The NFL is rough these days.
 
Nevada - Seriously, I would have fired Jason David after that game if I were Sean Peyton. David was responsible for 21 of the colts points scored. It was a joke.
 
David got burned again while playing the Bucs, this time for only 14 points (he is improving, it seems). They should pick up Dustin Fox, they obviously need a decent cornerback and David isn't it.Edited by: InfamousOne
 
Dustin was signed to the Bills practice squad this week, so hopefully he will be suiting up for them soon!
 
Wow, can you imagine if Fox ends up getting playing time for the Bills at CB b/c of injury or necessity..With Fox and Coy Wire coming back that would make 7 whites starting. The Bills defense would be looking like the 1960's integrated NFL!
