Rory rewrites the record book at the Wells Fargo Championship at the Quail Hollow course, finishing at -21, five strokes better than the previous record, and wins by seven strokes, also a tournament record. And he bettered his own course record of 62 when he shot 61 yesterday.

He won't play in America again until the U.S. Open in a few weeks.

What a great week from Rory!! This guy's just on another level from everybody else right now; even Jordan Spieth.

Yes McIlroy is hot right now and I like him, but I'm still partial to Spieth. There was no one hotter in the world at the beginning of the year than Spieth. I think the Masters win and all the hype and commitments required took a toll on Jordan. I think he'll eventually become the best in the world.

He is still just 21 years old with 5 professional wins and he has something McIlroy still doesn't have; a Green Jacket!

McIlroy does have 4 Majors, but he is also 26 and is 4 and half years older. We'll see where Spieth is 5 years from now.

Hopefully both of them will continue to rack up wins and Majors too!

Rory misses the cut at the BMW PGA Championship over in Britain. I wouldn't read too much into it; he's playing his fourth tournament in five weeks.

Rory shoots a +9, 80 in the first round of The Irish Open.

Ouch!! I was hoping he'd be able to rebound a bit better than that. I think this could be his last start before the U.S. Open, although I could be wrong.

He's also facing discipline for tossing a club last week at the BMW. I wish he get over throwing his clubs; It's classless and the last thing he needs to be doing. You know that he won't be afford the same "immunity" that Tiger has in that category for very long.

McIlroy is doubtful for the British Open after totally rupturing his left ankle ligament while playing football with friends!
