Hate to say it but I think the guy you never heard of will be De Grasse even though I cant stand the little twerp. Bolt will win even if the promoters have to rig the race.
Your best friend is missing both events at the world championships. Did you curse him like this character from Gilligan's Island.......

WIR I nearly pissed my drawers with laughter when I read your post. He is a little negro, is not my friend in anyway. He is Canadian unfortunately for white Canadians and I am "glad he is injured" as I do not support any negro athletes from any country...sorry to burst your little bubble...lol

Lovey, oh lovey I say where is that Gilligan? :risas3:

Well, now, he is a world champion! ))
Today we had a major break through. 19 year old Ramil Guliyev set two national records and became one of the fastest white sprinters in the history of track. He
ran a 10.08 and 20.42! Both times were wind legal. This is simply incredible. I can't
believe how good this kid is. Yuri told us about him a long time ago. We know have around five 19 year old stud sprinters. The future will be different. It is only a
matter of time before the magical 10 second barrier is broken. Congratulations to
Ramil on this record setting display of sprinting from the teenager! WOW!!!

I hope he can get in some more meets before the season is out. He is in such good form right now. It would be nice to him "cash in," i.e., get some new PBs.

Once again ...really solid display by guliyev .19.99 Monaco ......ramil has been racing a lot ...now a good break before the euros .....and something special could happen in Deutschland .....not I think lyles is a one and done sprinter ...i.e. he is not as physically strong as guliyev ....and come minimum 3 rounds in the world next year guliyev will still be the man to beat ......nobody touches this lad in Europe this year ....that's why I feel a rested guliyev without pressure at the euros conditions being favorable he will challenge 19.71 .....

Then again ..guliyev has had his pb in September before ........but he definitely needs a rest before euros .....as he may double up ....and I reckon Julian reus has timed it just right in order to perform @ pb level if he has any intention of producing a quality performance in Berlin ...hhhhhmmmm .....should be interesting ......

Quite possibly the greatest white sprinter the world has ever seen. He opened his season up today winning in another sub 20 time of 19.99! Ramil Guliyev is a 2 time gold medalist over
200 meters at the European Championships and the defending gold medalist at the last World Championships over 200 meters. He will try to defend his title as the fastest man in the
world over the distance this fall. Guliyev is at another level. Incredible to watch and not nearly appreciated enough for what he has done!

Guliyev's been so good for so long now -despite tragedies and changes in his life. They seem to have contributed to a mental toughness that turns the "very good" into champions

Even though we all love P.Mennea of Italy from many, many decades ago, it would have been nice to see Guliyev break the european 200 meters record. Ramil had it but raised both his hands over his head in celebration over the last 5 meters. That cost him the record.
