Hall of Famer
Here is an interesting bit I saw today. Rivals gave out awards for the best performers at it's Rivals-Under Armour camps, and at QB and RB the winners were white. While QB isn't a surprise, in spite of the extreme push going on for black quarterbacks, I was surprised that a white kid wouldn't be overlooked because he isn't the right color.
I'm not surprised that he was the best, I often see white kids dominating HS camps at "forbidden" positions, but it's not a problem for the recruiting services. They just become ignored when the time comes for colleges to come looking. It's a position that should be at LEAST half-white at both college and pro if recruiting and ranking was color-blind.
The QB, Josh Rosen, is a five-star recruit and can pretty much pick where he wants to go. Sean McGrew, the RB, is a "no star" recruit, but has been offered by UCLA. Hopefully we'll get to see this kid on the Bruins.
