Elmore has the potential to be a very valuable 6th round pick!

Green Bay Packers draft pick Ricky Elmore trained for the N.F.L. draft with Clay Matthews II and his son Casey Matthews.

I am glad he wound up with the Packers. Bruce Miller is on the same level and there are talks of switching him to fullback I have read that he is supposed to battle Zombo for a starting spot though.

Elmore had great production! I hate to sound caste, but I think it is kind of true with this guy. It probably is with black Cameron Heyward too. Elmore's speed/ mobility is more like an NFL backup DE, but he plays with so much heart, instincts and strength that he could become a very solid starting DE. Than again I'm more of a RB and WR expert. Tell me if I'm wrong here.

His short area quickness, which is important for an OLB or 4-3 DE looks better than I thought Don.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

It's nice to have Kevin Greene at OLB coach. He doesn't seem to have that man-love crush thing for bruvas that the rest of the league does.

FootballDad,
Kevin Greene played in the NFL himself and was excellent, so he knows Ricky or Clay can play the position also. Kevin Greene was a great athlete also, so he has no reason to doubt the athleticism of guys like Elmore.

I remember Greene's playing days. I'm just glad that he isn't the typical former-player-turned-coach that becomes an afflete worshipper like countless others. Greene is an aberration. I wonder when he will be locked in a conference room and "re-educated".

I love some of the guys he has brought in. Elmore will be doing his positional drills with guys like Matthews, Poppinga, and Zombo. Not to mention A.J Hawk, Desmond Bishop, and Brandon Chillar are all at ILB. It looks like the Pack will be without Nick Barnett in 2011.

I was hoping Elmore would go to a 4-3 team but am glad he will learn under Kevin Greene. Greene has done great work with Mathews, Hawk and Zombo. Greene was also a beast as a player, dominating the coal black 90s in the NFL.

Ricky Elmore is apparently a free agent.

Ricky Elmore seems like a man who would be a good backup on a 4-3 team. Hopefully someone will give him a shot.

Yeah its unfortunate he hasn't caught on so far. I think both he and Scott Solomon should have been tried as 4-3 ala Aaron Kampman ends instead of 3-4 OLBs.
