I am officially turning in my GOP card. Pains me deeply to say. Fought many a battle for these clowns. Stood on many a hot day passing out fliers, getting petitions signed for various GOP candidates and policies. Mande a million phone calls to get out the vote for the First Bush, Dole, and then Jr. No more.
These guys, with their cultural cleansing, amnesty bill, have simply gone insane. You watch these guys on TV and they just could give a damn about middle America.

Now Bush is talking about global warming and what we as Americans need to do to stop it. This is what finally put me over the top. Global warming is a lie, a complete scam perpetrated by socialist-types who want control over everything we say and do. And yet, the corporate elites fall in lockstep because they can generate more profits. Trust me, I work for a huge company and it sickens you to see what they do to promote this fraud. Nothing more than sheep. The Commies were right, the capitalist will sell the noose from which the Commies will hang them.

There was a point where I actually believed the Republicans would stand for freedom now I know they truly are the corporatist party whereas the Democrats are the unionists. Either makes me sick. They either want to force me to join a union or to force me to give up my country for profits on Wall St.

Big Government, either when the proponents are Republicans or Democrats, is still Big Government and should scare everyone.

So what now? Buchanan talks a good game...sometimes. I like Tancredo just because he's got the balls to say what needs to be said. Who else is out there? And please it can't be some come-lately to the cause of being against this immigration thing while running for president. It's got to be someone who has stood firm while everyone else was throwing arrows. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks

I was talking to my dad about this the other day. The leaders of this country could care less what the people of this country think (and I mean the masses). The conservative blogs are overflowing with people with comments saying they are leaving the Republican party even if this thing does not pass. I am convinced this is by design. This is going to implode the republican party. They got their military industrial complex so now usher in the open borders and third world. How long before people riot? Will they ever? Even the two Georgia republican Senators are flipping their constituents the bird. Seriously, how long before somebody caps one of these sh*tbirds on the hill or in his home state?

....This White House thinks its base is stupid and that its heart is in the wrong place.

For almost three years, arguably longer, conservative Bush supporters have felt like sufferers of battered wife syndrome. You don't like endless gushing spending, the kind that assumes a high and unstoppable affluence will always exist, and the tax receipts will always flow in? Too bad! You don't like expanding governmental authority and power? Too bad. You think the war was wrong or is wrong? Too bad.

But on immigration it has changed from "Too bad" to "You're bad."

The president has taken to suggesting that opponents of his immigration bill are unpatriotic--they "don't want to do what's right for America." His ally Sen. Lindsey Graham has said, "We're gonna tell the bigots to shut up." On Fox last weekend he vowed to "push back." Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff suggested opponents would prefer illegal immigrants be killed; Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez said those who oppose the bill want "mass deportation." Former Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson said those who oppose the bill are "anti-immigrant" and suggested they suffer from "rage" and "national chauvinism."

Why would they speak so insultingly, with such hostility, of opponents who are concerned citizens? And often, though not exclusively, concerned conservatives? It is odd, but it is of a piece with, or a variation on, the "Too bad" governing style. And it is one that has, day by day for at least the past three years, been tearing apart the conservative movement.

I just love how illegal boosters always play the race card. I don;t care if illegals look just like me, they're breaking the law! What's racist about prosecuting them for it? Just a f**king ploy to get Mexicans in. Mass deportation? Goddamn right that what I want. Anti-immigrant? Nope, my ancestors came to the US too...legally. Hispanics that come legally? Fine. Rage? Sure, because you won't enforce laws on the books! National chauvanism? Of course! I don't want to live in Mexico. The whole deal with illegals is becoming my entire political view. Give me someone, anyone, that'll fix it, and they have my vote.

cslewis,
take a look at Ron Paul if you're looking for someone to get behind. True, old style conservative (which actually used to mean liberal, but anyway...) There is so much to say about the guy I don't want to get started. See
Ron Paul 2008 for more information.

I suspect the Republican party moved towards more "progressive" stances to sway the ever growing liberal hordes. They really believe that they automatically have the votes of the religious right. I'm not so certain any longer.

Guliani is in bed with mexican super companies and refused to arrest and deport illegal immigrants from NY. McCain was one of the highest backers of this new amnesty movement. Mitt Romney is a flip flopping career politician with a socialist bent. Hillary Clinton is a communist and favors extreme leftist political programs. Barrack Obama is an actor - seriously, what political background does this man possess to be running for the presidency of the United States?

Ron Paul is the only candidate that offers us any hope for America. I implore all of the posters and readers of this site to vote for Ron Paul in the Republican Primary. We must believe that we can change things and get others to vote as well. That is the media's most powerful illusion of all - that we are powerless against these "politicians", and that they know best for us. After all, it is we the people, and Ron Paul will can and willreturn us to that country.

If you think global warming is a lie you should look elsewhere. It is really just global "rapid climate shift" more than global warming.

In Alaska and Antarctica, temperatures are rising rapidly. This can cause large amounts of flooding. I think that is how the Noah's arc flood occurred. At the end of the ice age, glacial melting caused flooding.

Ron Paul is so good because he combines and unites the Libertarians and the Consitution/Taxpayers Party people on a lot of issues.

The only different between corporatism and socialism is that in corporatism, leaders aren't elected.

They are Pro Red China! They and Yale University want to have collusion with China to turn America into the land of haves and have nots.

Welcome to the club. I left the Republican party about 10 years ago, and unfortunately there really isn't a good alternative at this point, but now I just vote on a case by case basis without worry about whether or not "my" party will win. Bush Junior has been a total disaster. He isn't a conservative, and I'm not sure if his placement was by design or not, but it has done more to halt the conservative wave of the mid to late 90's and to restore the power of the Dems then anything else I can imagine.

As for the race baiting, that's an old tactic that will continue to work as long as White's are afraid to stand up for one another. Every other group is allowed the right to self-segregate and racially identify, only we are denied this. I came to the conclusion that being a racist wasn't really all that bad, and once you learn how to state your case using facts and logic you will find that most Whites will agree with you and actually respect you. When they call you a bigot, reply "...and your point?" and 99% of the time they have no response and for that other 1% of the time it consists of further name calling. I have yet to meet someone that can put forth a compelling arguement as to why Whites should accept the sh!t being forced upon us around the globe.

Mars' polar ice caps are melting too. What do Mars and Earth have in common?

My friend, the global warming "debate" is the epitome of liberal elistists indoctrination, all they way down to my daughters first grade class. This kind of group think propaganda should frighten you deeply.
Global warming, as caused by man, is a fraud. or at least let me be more diplomatic, is anything but proven. The tempatures on earth have risen 1 degree over the past century. We simply have no idea what causes this, there is no proof it is carbon emissions as caused by you driving your car or the local coal mining facility. The reason for the tiny increase in tempatures is anyone's guess. It could be issues with cloud cover. We simply don't know.
I'd venture the amazing, incredible argument that the earth changes, sometimes it gets a bit colder, sometimes it gets a bit warmer. Here's a fantastic link for anyone interested in learning more. http://www.cgfi.org/

I always find it funny how the doomsayers on the left, and now unfortunately in the White House, have always predicted incorrectly. Global freezing was the rage thirty years ago. We're all going to die in X amount of years, they say. But when X number of years passes and we're still here, they're never called to account.

Outstanding! And she is right on too.

The GOP fundraising arm is way off too. the average donor of $50 or so, simply isn't giving anymore because of the immigration thing. Of course, the Repubs will look at it like they're cleansing the party from those redneck racists, similar to what the Democrats did long ago. That's fine. See how many elections they win with their new base of Indian computer geeks and Mexican landscapers. Way to go W! Give the country to teh Democrats.

If he's in the true libertarian vein he's for open borders, i.e. Reason Magazine. Which is why the libertarians are doomed. What's his stand on this cultural cleansing we're being forced to accept.

You are correct. Everyone was worried about the possibility of a new ice-age. How quickly we forget.

Perhaps this will clear Mr. Pauls stance up on this issue.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

April 28, 2005

Mr. PAUL (for himself and Mr. ALEXANDER) introduced the following joint resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

JOINT RESOLUTION

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to deny United States citizenship to individuals born in the United States to parents who are neither United States citizens nor persons who owe permanent allegiance to the United States.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled (two-thirds of each House concurring therein), That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years after the date of its submission for ratification:

`Article --

`SECTION 1. Any person born after the date of the ratification of this article to a mother and father, neither of whom is a citizen of the United States nor a person who owes permanent allegiance to the United States, shall not be a citizen of the United States or of any State solely by reason of birth in the United States.

`SECTION 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.'.

Ron Paul is against open borders. His votes have been consistently 'anti-immigrant,' if you will, the entire time he has been in Congress.

Paul isn't as much a libertarian in the classical sense. He is founding father material. He is a strict Constitutionalist. In his speeches and articles, he time and again refers back to the fathers of our country and the principles they advocated: Small government (very small,) strong private rights and civil liberties.

Paul spells out in great detail his viewpoints and what he wants to do to correct the problems facing our country:

I was a Reagan Democrat, then became a registered Republican. Voted for Bush the Second both times. The other day I was watching Al Gore being interviewed and found myself wishing he'd won, or at least wondering how things would be if he had won. That's how bad Bush has turned out to be.

A few years ago, before I was on to them, I actually sent some money to the Republicans. I guess I bought myself some new best friends. Always mailing me something, checking up on me, and hitting me up for more cash. They even took to calling me on the telephone when they didn't hear from me. I told them to get lost, but they still send me mail and try to call every once in a while. I should file a stalking complaint, or get a restraining order maybe.

Now I see them calling me a bigot for objecting to massive illegal immigration. I've seen my hometown go from 95 percent white to 60 percent white in twenty-five years, the vast majority of it illegal aliens. Evidently the Republicans leadership thinks race replacement even through illegal means is no big deal.

The next time they ask me for money I'll just tell them to talk to my replacement. See how much money they can get from him.

I believe his name is Jose.Edited by: Hockaday

And the truth shall set you free...

I left the GOP 17 years ago after "becoming" a Republican at the age of 11 (worked in a GOP voter center in 1972).

Now I do not have to defend the indefensible and I vote for third party candidates as often as I can. Edited by: Bronk

For Ron Paul to have any impact at all, it's going to take a lot more than just voting for him in a presidential primary. Every single Ron Paul supporter needs to sacrifice financially to help his campaign out, and also be a campaign volunteer. It will literally take a grassroots uprising of a few million patriotic Americans (about one percent of the country)to get the attention of those who have successfully subverted this nation from within. Anything less than that kind of activism and Paul will be effortlessly marginalized, and if soit's difficult to see any effective opposition formingafter the 2008 electionto combat the one-party system as it fine-tunes its police state.

I left the sellout GOP about two years ago. They're puppet "leadership" is totally controlled by the Globalist Elite (as are "Fraud" Thompson & "NeoCON" Newt). As an independent, I'll only vote for a Republican if they have a solid paleo-Conservative voting record/platform. Traitors like my GA Senators Saxby "Scambliss" & Johnny "Isakscum" have lost my support due to their support of scAmnesty. My GOP Congressman is borderline, but hasn't sold out (yet)...but I'm keeping a close eye on him. Edited by: DixieDestroyer
