The Sports Capitol's Ben Standig reports Bucs CB Vernon Hargreaves (shoulder) will miss the remainder of the season.

Hargreaves went down in the fourth quarter of the Week 1 shootout against the Saints. The No. 11 overall pick in the 2016 draft, Hargreaves missed seven games last season with a hamstring injury and has been a bust to this point in his career. But with Brent Grimes also dinged up and a lot of young, green corners on the roster, it's a tough loss. The Bucs visited with free agent CB Bashaud Breeland on Tuesday and could really use his steady veteran presence.

And another one:

Raiders waived S Obi Melifonwu. The Raiders telegraphed this move when they waived/injured Melifonwu in August. The No. 56 overall pick of last year's draft, Melifonwu could not get healthy as a rookie and then barely practiced during the offseason. That was enough for impatient coach Jon Gruden to move on. Still only 24, Melifonwu should pretty quickly get a second chance elsewhere if his health cooperates.

This was posted by Leonardfan in another NFL thread but deserves to be mentioned in this thread also. 2015 was the blackest draft to date:

2015 Bust 23rd overall pick Shane Ray looking for another job. Had 14 sacks and 94 total tackles over 4 seasons in Denver.

Seattle not picking up the 5th year option on Germian Ifedi
Buffalo did not pick up 5th year option on Shaq Lawson
same with Laquaon Treawell and Josh Garnett

I can still remember a ton of hype for Nkemdiche - he's an all timer in terms of a bust compared to the level of hype surrounding him. Vernon Butler was also very hyped up as an interior pass rusher.

Nice list! I remember Matt Miller was one of main cucks hyping up Nkemdiche! My brother actually got in an argument with him on Twitter, calling him out on his mancrush.

I jogged my memory on Nkemdiche and was surprised that he was only the 29th pick of the first round as the drooling over him was so intense, even for the Caste media. According to Wikipedia, he was "regarded by ESPN as the 'Southeast's best [high school football] prospect since the early 1980s'."

I also remember him having some "character issues," but Wikipedia only has this -- and who the hell acts like this after smoking some weed: "On December 12, 2015, Nkemdiche fell from a fourth-floor window of the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. 'It appears that the victim (Nkemdiche) broke the window and then walked approximately 15 feet and climbed over a wall and fell approximately 15 feet,' read the Atlanta Police Department report.[34] Nkemdiche was conscious and in stable condition when officers reported to the scene, and was immediately transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. Police later found seven marijuana cigarettes in Nkemdiche's room, leading him to be charged with drug possession."

Three more:

Steelers declined CB Artie Burns' fifth-year option for 2020.

The option would have paid Burns over $9.5 million in 2020, which is simply too much for a cornerback who was benched as recently as last season. Burns played just 15 defensive snaps after Week 6 last year and has not lived up to his No. 25 overall pick draft status. This was a no-brainer for the Steelers.

Raiders declined S Karl Joseph's fifth-year option for 2020.
Coach Jon Gruden suggested earlier in the offseason that Joseph would have his option exercised, but that's not the case. Joseph looked like a bust whose days were numbered in Oakland when Gruden took over, but he turned into a quality starter in 2018. The Raiders aren't believing apparently after signing Lamarcus Joyner in free agency and using one of their three first-rounders on S Johnathan Abram last week.

Jets declined LB Darron Lee's fifth-year option for 2020.
It's just a formality as Lee has been on the trade block since the Jets broke the bank for C.J. Mosley in free agency. Lee has been a relative bust since arriving as a first-round pick in 2016, though he's still just 25 and could probably benefit from a change of scenery. He'll cost $3.2 million against the cap in 2019.

2007 Raiders Ranked All Time Worst Draft led by QB Jamarcus Russell...interestingly enough of the 11 players selected; ONLY ONE was white. TE Zach Miller. ...Which the article says he was the "Best Pick"

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nf...-this-century/ar-AAB2mbk?li=BBnbfcL&ocid=iehp
Best pick:Miller

He carved out a nice career as a receiving tight end, even making one Pro Bowl in 2010, which was his final season in Oakland. Miller went on to win a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks (and had a few big playoff games the year before) prior to injuries cutting short his career. And he’s not to be confused with the other Zach Miller, who also was a tight end – and who just recently retired as a member of the Chicago Bears.

Overall:It’s just awful from top to bottom, save for the decent pick of Miller. The Raiders had five picks in the top 100, and none played more than 62 games in Oakland

2nd Worst Class....2005 Vikings ...headlined by 1st Round WR Troy Williamson who couldn't catch a cold. 4th Rounder "CB Dustin Fox" TURNED SAFETY due to his skin condition (Thank you Truthteller in Ryan Nall thread) was the ONLY white player selected out of Seven. Fox is not even mentioned ....

Other 1st Round WR bust mentioned like AJ Jenkins (who?); Justin Blackmon DE's Derrick Harvey, Courtney Brown & Dion Jordan; 4.3 CB Tye Hill etc...

It's time to play Predict-A-Bust.

QB Kyler Murray. Short, reports of poor understanding of plays, refused testing and measurements, low end Wonderlic (for a QB). Everything about this guy says failure.

DE Rashan Gary. An under-achieving defensive end. A workout warrior. Not particularly productive. Has a labrum injury. Not as good as his teammate Chase Winovich but drafted two rounds higher. Reports of a bad attitude. A questionable first round pick.

WR DK Metcalf. Seattle traded up to draft him at the end of round two. Unproductive in college. Injured in college. Straight line speedster with poor change of direction ability. Looks great and runs fast though. Will likely do little in the pros.

Yep, Murray will bust but that's not the point. The point was always propaganda points. They couldn't stand another White guy being drafted 1st overall and they old Arizona to go ahead and shoot themselves in foot and the league will make it up to them. So they've got the black QB for a year or two and in the end, they'll get some sort of reward. That's how these anti-White things work.

First round draft pick in 2016 barely hanging on despite his massive upside:

Corey Coleman is working as the No. 3 receiver during Giants OTAs.
There is a slew of options behind Sterling Shepard and Golden Tate including fifth-round rookie Darius Slayton, so Coleman is far from guaranteed to keep the No. 3 job throughout the offseason. Still, it is a promising start after his position coach said the former first-rounder has a "big opportunity" this summer. Coleman reaching his potential would be massive for the Odell Beckham-less Giants.

Pats resigned Poly-Sumo Danny Shelton. Shelton has been a big time bust - he came into the league with a ton of hype and has produced 1.5 sacks in 4 seasons after being the 12th overall pick of the laughable 2015 draft. Apparently with being the 12th overall pick it is ok to be viewed as a "viable option in a rotational role" if the player happens to be n0n-white.

Patriots signed DT Danny Shelton.
The Patriots sent a third-round pick to Cleveland in order to acquire Shelton last March, but utilized the run-stuffer on just 23 snaps over two postseason games at season's end. The 25-year-old will make for a viable option in a rotational role up the middle with Lawrence Guy, Adam Butler, and Mike Pennel.

Packers 2nd Rd pick from 2 years ago in Safety Josh Jones wants to be traded. Another workout warrior with zero football IQ or coverage skills. Couldn't even crack starting lineup even with Green Bay's sorry ass crew of Safeties.

One of the things the scouting reports about Coleman said is that he had difficulties catching the ball. Yet he went in the first round.

You see this frequently. A black player runs fast and jumps high but is not so good at catching the ball. He's drafted high. He busts.

Teams are doing this year after year. It's hard to believe they keep making the same mistake but they do.

For a receiver prospect catching the football should be the number one thing.

NFL suspended free agent WR Leonte Carroo four games.
Carroo's violation is unclear. Carroo was a restricted free agent who was not tendered an offer by the Dolphins. Headed into his age-25 campaign, Carroo was a complete bust as a 2016 third-round pick for the 'Fins, catching 12 passes across 37 career games.

Buccaneers waived CB Vernon Hargreaves.
Hargreaves' third quarter benching against the Cardinals was the last straw for the organization after he'd proven to be a massive bust as the No. 11 overall pick in the 2016 draft. Hargreaves had appeared in just 10 games coming into the season and, although he's been on the field this year, has been dog-walked for 41/591/2 and 10.5 yards per target as PFF's No. 112 corner among 116 qualifiers at his position in '19. The Dolphins are a likely candidate to claim him off waivers given their willingness to take chances on first-round pedigrees in a lost season.

We Caste Footballers should pat ourselves on the back. I and others here predicted he would be a bust when he was picked. :campeon:

Houston Blaxans already claimed this turd. Another is what will be a long line of opportunities to uncover his amazing unlimited upside. SMH
