The Bills will decline Sammy Watkins' fifth-year team option for 2018.
Unbelievable. This is perhaps the only thing that could have made the Bills' trade up in the 2014 draft even more disastrous. The Bills are clearly petrified of Watkins suffering another injury and guaranteeing himself a massive payday for 2018 — option years are guaranteed for injury only — but they've backed themselves into a corner if Watkins has a monster 2017, something certainly not outside the realm of possibility for a massively-talented wideout who has yet to turn 24. The franchise tag costs more than the option. In a league placing an ever-increasing premium on high-end receiving talent, the Bills are playing fire with theirs. The Bills maybe shouldn't be letting someone who was a defensive coordinator just five months ago run their front office. May 2 - 3:04 PM

Weenieworld is furious that their upside laden black wr is not being picked up for his 5th year option by the Bills. They take a dig at the head coach in the process - but fail to connect the dots that a career personnel man and supposed "expert" dougtaviois Whaley drafted the guy along with the coal black and piss poor team and black quarterback that can't generate a consistent passing game.

Weenieworld must have one of the biggest collections of jock sniffing negro apologists of any of the major sports "news" outlets. They never fail to sink to lower and lower levels in their anti-white rhetoric.

A busy day for Weenieworld:

Jets waived/injured WR Devin Smith. Smith tore his ACL in late April and will spend all of his third NFL season on injured reserve. The 37th overall pick in the 2015 draft, Smith will enter 2018 having appeared in just 14-of-48 possible games. If it makes Jets fans feel any better, Smith was taken just ahead of fellow receiver disappointments Dorial Green-Beckham (No. 40) and Devin Funchess (No. 41).

Former Ravens draft bust Matt Elam was arrested for grand theft and battery in Delray Beach, Florida on Monday morning. It's his second arrest since February, when Elam was popped for allegedly possessing 126 grams of marijuana and three grams of oxycodone. Elam is being held on $4,500 bond. Elam, 25, has played his final NFL snap. The worst pick of Ozzie Newsome's tenure, Elam was drafted 32nd overall in 2013.

Yet weenieworld proclaimed the other day that Hackenberg was one of the worst picks in recent memory.

First round draft pick in 2014, the cycle of huge numbers of black DBs being over-drafted never ends:

ESPN New York believes Jets S Calvin Pryor might be a candidate for release. Pryor opted to skip voluntary OTAs and coach Todd Bowles said he didn't want to discuss his absence. The Jets clearly do not have Pryor in their long-term plans after they spent a first-round pick on S Jamal Adams and a second-rounder on S Marcus Maye. The Jets also declined the fifth-year option for Pryor. Even with the Jets not committed to Pryor long-term, it would be surprising if they opt to release him and eat his $1.6 million base salary.

It's time to play Predict-A-Bust. For the recent draft.

WR John Ross will be a bust because he won't be able to stay healthy. He hasn't in the past and he won't in the future.

The Bengals were obviously enamored with Ross because of his 4.2 40 time and overlooked his medical red flags because of it.

Ross, definitely - only has one real skill - running in a straight line without pads, a helmet, or opponents. To take him in the top 10 is laughable, but at least it might help Dalton somewhat.
Howard - next to no production aside from one game, apparently all upside but will never succeed as good as Butt will, as we've seen from countless first round afflete TEs
Kizer - taking this dud who has no production or skills in the first 6 rounds is bad, let alone in the second round.
Peppers - one college interception in his career. One. Can play RB LB CB and S but can't play and of them particularly well.

I'm sure there are many more I'm forgetting.

I just took George Kittle at the end of the 6th round in a 16 round draft for a dynasty IDP league. I'll be surprised if he isn't more productive in his NFL career than all but maybe two of the "upside" TEs in what is routinely described by the promoters of the status quo as an "historic" draft for (black) tight ends.

Another Alabama failure in the NFL.

Bills waived OT Cyrus Kouandjio.

The No. 44 pick in the 2014 draft, Kouandjio lost the last of his support when GM Doug Whaley was fired. Kouandjio had hip surgery after a mysterious home incident in January and then had an even more bizarre run-in with police in April where he was found naked in a field climbing over an electric fence before crying "shoot me!" The Bills drafted new RT Dion Dawkins in the second round.

Just another "bizarre" incident in modern, Marxist America. As evident by the We Are Living in a Cartoon thread and the Crime Thread, cases like the emboldened insanity happen far too often.

One of the better things on PFT was Mike Florios arrest tracker, the sheer scale of mindless criminality. Killed the "poverty causes them do it" myth. These are guys earning big money, getting paid to eat and lift weights, and they STILL cant help themselves.

2014 8TH Overall pick by the Browns...huge bust!!!

NFL suspended free agent CB Justin Gilbert four games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

It helps explain Gilbert's February release by the Steelers. Still only 25, Gilbert appeared in 12 games for the Steelers last season, but played only 12 snaps on defense. Gilbert is probably just about out of NFL chances.

The Dolphins' brilliant scouting continues:

According to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, it is "far from certain" that 2016 third-round WR Leonte Carroo even makes the Dolphins' 53-man roster. Carroo was the 86th pick in last year's draft out of Rutgers. He was active 14 times as a rookie, but caught just three passes in Year One and was a healthy scratch in the playoff loss. Carroo remains buried in Miami behind DeVante Parker, Jarvis Landry, and Kenny Stills. Jackson believes Jakeem Grant, UDFA Drew Morgan, and second-year UDFA Rashawn Scott could push Carroo for a spot on the team. Carroo has little-to-no value in Dynasty leagues at the moment.

Lol. First and foremost. Rutgers stinks. Anyone who has caught one of their games since joining the Big Ten should know this. Doesn't surprise me they overdrafted this bum based on upside.

I've read some articles stating that white UDFA WR Drew Morgan has been impressive so far in OTA's. I'm hoping he earns a roster spot while Carroo who did absolutely NOTHING last year is shown the door. Much wiser to cut bait on a bad player than insist on keeping him on the roster for more years simply because he was a high round draft pick.

GM's don’t like to do that because they think it makes them look bad, but it actually makes them look smarter. Everybody makes draft picks that don’t work out, keeping them long after it becomes obvious they aren’t going to cut it doesn’t really make you look like you didn’t get a bust.

Granted this happened about 3 weeks ago and I know this forum deals with lineman mostly but Seattle rb via Green Bay Eddie Lacy was paid a $ 50,000 bonus to come in at under 255 pounds. It is a sad state for sports that some lard butt who is already paid tremendous amounts of $ to be in shape and perform well gets a bonus for something he should be doing on his own. That kind of $ is more than most honest hard working Americans make a year. Man if I just got that bonus to make it to work 5 days straight. What? Be on time? Come on man that's pushing it.
The funny thing is is that Lacy reported to OTA's at 252. Still a slow untalented , undedicated lard ass. Such is the NFL and the Drunk White Fans.

I guess there is more to this story. Lacy is in for $ around 350,000 for the year if he hits all his weight requirements. He has to hit 240 right about now and stay at 240 the rest of the season and he keeps collectingthese 50 to $55,000 checks every so often. I swear the best Hollywood writers couldin't make this stuff up. What if Zach Line or John Kuhn bulked up to 270? They would be out the door faster than Eddy Lacy can say 13 McChickens and 14 double whoppers please.

Greg Robinson appears to have lost his job permanently to Jamon Brown as the Rams' right tackle.

Brown is taking all of the first-team right tackle reps at minicamp, and Robinson "has barely even taken second-team reps." Robinson's $3.3 million base salary is fully guaranteed. Otherwise, Robinson would likely be released.

Eagles DE Marcus Smith has slipped to seventh on the depth chart.

He's No. 7 among seven defensive ends, many of whom are camp body types. A bust seemingly from the moment he was selected 26th overall in the 2014 draft under the Chip Kelly regime, Smith is on track to be waived by September.

Funny thing is, Robinson was taken over 2016 pro bowlers Taylor Lewan and Zack Martin (also all pro), while Bitonio and Jake Matthews have also been good.

What a bust, but I'm sure his upside will get him a roster spot and starting position. Only upside he has is to break the season records for most sacks allowed and most holding penalties committed.

Robinson to Whitworth is a huge upgrade and will help out Goff massively at LT. Robinson in what three seasons has already allowed more QB hits and almost as many sacks as Whitworth has in 11 years. And what's good for Goff is good for Kupp and hopefully Spruce as well!

Huge bust! I have posted on him several times but he does not get the ridicule he deserves.

Free agent CB Justin Gilbert's suspension has been increased from four games to one year.

The increased ban effectively ends 25-year-old Gilbert's career. The No. 8 overall pick of the 2014 draft turns 26 in November.

Another sumo bust.

Lions 2015 first-round OG Laken Tomlinson is on the roster bubble.

The former No. 28 overall pick out of Duke was picked by ex-GM Martin Mayhew and has no ties to new boss Bob Quinn. Tomlinson has started 25 games in two seasons but was benched mid-season last year before being forced back into the lineup due to injuries. Tomlinson graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 65 guard out of 77 qualifiers. Graham Glasgow is expected to start at left guard.
