It has been announced that Jesse Jackson has died. No sources or links to cite as none are needed. If you asked a thousand Black men old enough to remember Jackson (if a thousand could be found willing to talk frankly) what specifically did Jesse Jackson do of benefit to Black people the answers would be vague and without fact. If you asked the same question of White men the answers would likely be similar.
I remember Jackson well enough to recall he put much of his life's time into complaining to White people and demanding White people do things for Black people and change American society for the benefit of Black people to the detriment of White people. Jackson was a professional complainer. Jackson made a paying career out of complaining and demanding. I do not recall Jackson every admitting or attempting to convince Black people that the main problem with the majority of Blacks is they need to change their attitudes and beliefs about not needing to acquire knowledge and skill in order to succeed and progress. Whites understand this - even poor Whites know that the reason they are poor is they lack knowledge and skill. Jackson wanted Whites to give give give to Blacks. That's what a grifter asks for. Jackson saw this world in black and white; he was truly color blind.

Jesse Jackson was a ubiquitous presence in the corporate media for many years, the anointed spokesman for all things Black and always from an anti-White, pro-grifting perspective.

He faded in recent years, even before he got really old, seemingly replaced by Al Sharpton, who has had a near ubiquitous presence going back even before the Tawana Brawley hoax. But Jackson in his prime was long the pre-eminent spokesman for the "civil rights movement" after MLK's murder.

Here's how the current President reacted to the news of Jackson's passing. No commentary needed:

“Despite the fact that I am falsely and consistently called a Racist by the Scoundrels and Lunatics on the Radical Left, Democrats ALL, it was always my pleasure to help Jesse along the way.

“I provided office space for him and his Rainbow Coalition, for years, in the Trump Building at 40 Wall Street; Responded to his request for help in getting CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM passed and signed, when no other President would even try; Single handedly pushed and passed long term funding for Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs), which Jesse loved, but also, which other Presidents would not do; Responded to Jesse’s support for Opportunity Zones, the single most successful economic development package yet approved for Black business men/women, and much more."

Yes, no commentary needed indeed!

I remember Jackson always wanted to embrace a wanted despot or terrorist that was on the FBI"s Most Wanted List. If he had any relevancy in recent years he would have visited and embraced recently nabbed despot Maduro.

His presidential primary run in 88' actually had traction and he started winning rust belt states by talking about getting well paid factory jobs back to these states. I think he spooked the Democratic power brokers so badly that the vote splitting that was causing Jackson to win these states abruptly ended with marginal candidates ending their presidential run and the party machine united behind wishy washy Dukkakis.

In the end the Democrats were whipped badly by Republicans portraying Dukkakis as weak and spineless with the Willie Horton ads and their highlighting of his legislative history as governor of Massachusetts.

PS I remember playing a political game where the players had to be either a Republican candidate in various modern elections or Democrat and I remember choosing Jackson and he was destroyed in every simulation of the 88 election no matter what policies you chose for simulation the Democratic brass must have run the same simulator.

Yes that was beyond funny.

Also I remember he stated Jackson's salary for his PUSH non profit and it was well into 6 figures and I remember Limbaugh said something to the affect why would Jackson want to be an alderman in Chicago when he was making multiples of that in his position.

I think the last time I remember Jackson was in the news was when a desperate Don Imus kissed the rings of Jackson and Sharpton to save his job with WFAN after his controversy with his locker room humor about Rutgers women's basketball players.

Never forget how Rush Limbaugh said his name, lol. "And the Reverend Jack......................................................son."
Not to mention the Justice Brothers parody bits of Revs Jackson and Sharpton.

Seems I remember Harry Conick Jr. doing a passable impression of Jackson in the movie "Independence Day."

Jackson got in some hot water when he referred to New York City as "hymie town." His apology contained the phrase "the angels of owuh bettuh naitchuh." (The odd things that my brain chooses to store in my long term memory).

I once worked with a gal that had half a dozen kids, each of them having different colored daddies. I called them the rainbow coalition.

He admitted that when he worked as a waiter he would spit in white people's food.

He was smart enough and a good speaker but I don't think he was much of a reverend.

As a Christian who recognizes the difference between earthly forgiveness and divine forgiveness, Jackson, as an anti-white racial bigot to the bitter end, was most certainly not worthy of earthly forgiveness.

As for divine forgiveness, only God is qualified to make that decision.

I was watching Olympics coverage the other night and when it ended at 11pm, the local corporate news came on. I didn't get around to changing the channel fast enough so I got to hear "reverend" Jackson eulogized. One interesting piece of history, that I had forgotten, was that he was with MLK when he was assassinated. I'm too young to have known that version of Jackson, but I am old enough to remember the character that the MSM would trot out to complain about White people constantly and how hard blacks have it in this country. That got me thinking.

If King wasn't murdered, I would have gotten the pleasure of experiencing the "saintly figure" that every neoliberal and neocuckservative worships and deemed worthy of bestowing a national holiday upon. Seeing how Jackson was his close protégée, it would be easy to imagine what King would have been like in the 80s, 90s and 00s. An aging race hustler doing the same bit that Jackson perfected. A phony preacher trotted out on CNN to complain about the racial hoax du jour.

Upon further thought, it was probably fortunate for Jackson that King wasn't around as he would have had to wait decades longer to ascend to the "top black grifter" throne. And as far as the PTB go, they also benefited from King's death as they could mold him into their god for the upcoming "equality and multicultural" America that they plan to force us into. But I'm sure people 10x smarter than me have already made these arguments in much more succinct form...
