Playoffs Thread

Austin Collie is single handedly taking over this game. He is the mvp by far at this point. He has over 100 yards receiving at the half. Amazing td catch. He has some kind of vertical and great hands as well. Go Colts!

Great game by Austin Collie so far.

That idiot Rex Ryan declared Danny Woodhead inactive for today. With Shonn Greene out with an injury, their only RB right now is Thomas Jones. Good job, Rex. This would be a great oppurtunity for Danny to come in, but for some dumb reason, Ryan brought only two RB's into the game.

Collie is having a great game. People always mention that Mannning tends to choke in the post season, but what Ive noticed when I have watched in the past, is that Wayne and Harrison (even though they were great receivers in the regular season) tended to disappear in the post season which would explain Manning's poor post season stats in the past because Clark would be the only consistent receiving threat. Now he has guys like Collie to step up when Wayne is not producing...and to think dwf's thought I was delusional for saying Austin Collie was a top 5 wide receiver out of last year's draft, you would think they would wake up after seeing things like this.

People always seem to think Garcon is the deep threat and Collie is the possession/ just move the chains receiver, its looking the opposite right now in the post season. Collie is averaging close to 16 yards per catch so far and Garcon at around 11 yards per catchEdited by: dwid

That's why I'll be rooting big time for the Colts in the Super Bowl. Two Super Bowl wins and the DWFs and media will have to admitManning's greatness.

Yes, the DWF's and media have never been entirely comfortable with Peyton Manning playing the most important position in professional sports better than it has ever been played.

Well, we know the Super Bowl is going to be a dream matchup of quarterbacks, no matter whether the Saints or Vikings win. I'm pulling for Favre because of the way he's shut up all his critics and a lot more, but Brees is also an all-time great in the making.

Haha betwenn HArvin and Peterson idk who wants to lose more???

Since the second half of the Saints / Vikings game, it has been a festival of drops and fumbles by the worlds greatest affelets.

Right now Peterson is earning that money. Two great runs. I thought the Saints would win this. Tied right now

I was waiting for it, and it happened.

Prior to the interception, I thought it was providence that Favre would clash with Peyton in the SB. Now, I am just don't think it was meant to be. Saints just got the ball in O/T.

Does anyone here know why Shockey did not get more looks?

They shouldn't have gotten the first down call on the run where he dove. He was clearly short of the line. The P.I. Call was a joke as well because the pass was not catchable. Oh well. I'm happy for Drew Brees. He is a classy guy. I just would of rather seen Minnesota. It makes it easier for me now.

I want the Indy Colts to win the Super Bowl. It should be a great game.

How often do two number one seeds make it to the Super Bowl? That doesn't happen that often does it?

Lots of calls for Viking fans to complain about on that last drive. The Peirre Thomas spot where he lost control of the ball and regained it about 1/2 yard short. Then the catch that appeared to me to be a drop. Well, I'm glad I dumped the Vikes back in the Green era. Too bad for Favre though - not a good way to end. At least that means he has a good chance of returning next year.

This game goes to the refs with so many beyond questionable calls in the Saints favor. Oh well, all those drops by Vikings Afroletes didn't help at all. Go Colts!

He had turf toe and a bruised knee, he didnt practice all week, but it would have taken a straight jacket to keep him from playing. He was limping after his first catch. He was hobbling last week when caught a td, and still couldnt be stopped

As for the calls, there were some questionable calls going both ways, the roughing the passer that went against the Saints was bs, it was a clean hit on Favre. Many calls going against the Saints were questionable in the first half, so I guess the refs evened it out later on. Drew Brees deserved this taking the Saints to their first Superbowl (thank god it didnt happen with a lowlife like Aaron Brooks), the Saints have many classy White players like Brees, Shockey, Thomas, Stinchcomb, Fujita (who made some key plays) Shanle (also made some key plays), Charleston who was in for the majority of the game getting pressure. Never saw a game with so many fumbles.

Saints have a decent amount of Whites compared to most teams. Fujita and Shanle get no respect and rarely get mentioned. Fujita made a key play that caused a turnover and made momentum go towards the Saints. Vikings have some big name White players but dont really have any White receiving threats. It will be nice to see Shockey, David Thomas, Dallas Clark an d Austin Collie in the Superbowl. Vikings lost because of their affletes making so many mistakes.
