Grossman has been royally skewered by the Caste System media, so I'd like to see him have a big game. Also the Bears have Urlacher. Other than that. . .

Bears have some whites on offensive line, Grossman, two starting linebackers, Todd Johnson (still injured).

Urlacher just got some props from announcers, for running stride for stride with Jackson and knocking the pass away from him.

"it's what separates him from the other linebackers"

"this 260 pounder can REALLY run"

"look at the speed from the big man"

I went ahead and created a Bears-Seahawks thread for the game, that's where I'm posting my comments.

Deion Sanders just announced on NFL Network that the Super Bowl will feature "two 'African-American'" head coaches, Lovey Smith and Tony Dungy. Does Deion serve ANY other purpose on NFL Network besides boosting the bothers? Aren't there already enough white trucklers filling that role?

Too bad for Deion that it will probably be Sean Payton and Bill Belicheck.

Let's hope it's the Saints and Pats. Both have 9 white starters. The Colts have 8 but they will be ignored with all the hype about a black coach finally making it to the Super Bowl and how white racism stopped this from happening sooner.

Besides, the Bears only start 4 whites. Pathetic!

Deion does this constantly.

After that, there was a clip where Deion was mouthing off about Trent Dilfer's tie, and they panned the camera back for a split second to Trent and he was just starting to shake his head in derision with a look on his face like he's thinking: "what a clown." then the camera panned back to Deion, Rich and Mooch before you could actually see Trent's head-shake.

If the Colts win, it's because of Tony Dungy.

If the Patriots win, it's because Peyton Manning choked.

Looks like a win / win for the caste system either way.

If the Colts lose, we won't hear anything about how many times Dungy has taken a team to the playoffs but never made it to the Big Game. That's all you hear when Marty Schottenheimer has a team in the playoffs, but how often do you ever hear anyone criticize Tony Dungy for his inability to win a playoff game?

All we'll hear about is how Peyton Manning can't win the big one. He can't win under pressure. Maybe it's true, but the same can be said of Dungy as well.

If the Colts lose, maybe they will ditch Dungy like the Bucs did and sign a white coach that will take them to the Super Bowl next year.

Definitely more important that neither Dungy or Smith get to the Superbowl. Sure, it will be all Peyton's fault, but if either Dungy or Smith get there and win, the showering of adulation on them will be sickening.

The most important thing by far is for Peyton Manning to be on a Super Bowl winning team. He's dominating the quarterback position like no one ever has -- and in football's blackest era yet, a time when the public is being conditioned for blacks to take over the most important job in sports. Manning needs at least one Super Bowl win, preferrably more, to cement his legacy as the greatest quarterback ever, because he's going to smash all the important career records for a quarterback. If he doesn't, he'll always be sneered at and made fun of by the Caste media. Think of the way Phil Mickelson was treated before he won a major in golf, except many times worse.

I totally understand where you're coming from there, but if the Colts win, you know everyone will be falling over themselves lauding Dungy's praises. It won't really be so much attributed to Peyton, although I agree it would stop some of the sneering.

Black coaches are going to win Super Bowls sooner or later. And Doug Williams won't be the last black quarterback on a Super Bowl winner. But if Peyton Manning, who is the Michael Jordan of his sport (or the Wayne Gretzky or Babe Ruth), never wins one, that would be tough totake for a lot of reasons. The Caste System media has been all but openly rooting for Peytonto fail in the playoffs this year, and the best thing that could happen in response would be for Manning to end up with multiple Super Bowl wins in his career, ala Brady and Montana and others. They still wouldn't get off his case, just as they still love to hate Phil Mickelson (who dares to think of himself as a challenger to their beloved Tiger Woods), but it would mute them quite a bit.

Seems like Aeons since Mike Griese beat Billy Kilmer, and Don Shula defeated George Allen. Each team had plenty of Whites and even White Cornerbacks (Pat Fischer). And the White Mr. Csonka was never chided about being slow, nor Nick Buoniconti for being too Italian

Go Manning!

I agree with Don on this one. We don't need another Dan Marino scenario now. We need another Johnny Unitas. Someone who can build their reputation to being unquestionable. 50 years from now, nobody will remember Peyton's struggles in big college games, only whether he won or lost a Super Bowl. If he wins, he'll be one of the all-time greats without question. A Super Bowl win is the only way, in the long run, to stop those questions.

Couldn't Tom Brady be considered another Unitas? Four SB rings in six year ain't bad. You would think that somneone would make the connection that the two whitest (least racist) teams in football made it to the SB while the most racist teams (Cards, Dolphins, Jags) are sitting at home.

I would rather have Tom Brady win another Superbowl than have Dungheap get the credit if the Colts win.

I totally agree with Don. The main issue here (and with the Caste System in general) is the treatment of white players on the field. If a black coach gets more credit than he may actually deserve, so be it. I'm far more concerned with white players succeeding and being given fair shots. Hell, it almost seems like some black coaches are less racist than white coaches. Of course, there are anti-white idiots like Denny Green (even he seems to have realized that he needs a white quarterback, though), but the Browns got noticeably whiter when Romeo Crennel took over, for example. I don't really give a damn what race coaches and GMs are as long as they give whites a fair shot. And as we all know, white coaches and GMs don't exactly have a stellar track record when it comes to that.

If Indianapolis win the Super Bowl, Peyton Manning will be the main story. This assumes that Peyton has a big game and is Super Bowl MVP. I wrote on another thread that it's about time that Manning dominated the playoffs and won a Super Bowl.

It's an interesting fact that running backs NEVER win championships in and of themselves. The QB is always the key man on a pro football team, even if the team has a great runner. If the QB is not the key player, that team has an inadequate QB.

Joe Montana had many great playoff games. Terry Bradshaw didn't have stats as good as some of his contemporaries, but he was considered the QB you didn't want to go up against on Super Bowl Sunday. I repeat that it's past time for Peyton Manning do what Montana and Bradshaw did.

Manning has broken the passing records in regular season play. He would be the top pro athlete in all of sports if he could do that while winning hopefully, more than one Super Bowl. Pro Football is America's top sport, after all.

Great arguments on both sides, but I have to agree with Don , et al: I'd rather see Manning win at least one Super Bowl and obliterate the choke label. Don's argument that sooner or later a black coach will win a Super Bowl is compelling, and further tilts my view towards rooting for Manning.

Yes, I would think that someone could make that connection, but that would require independent thinking on the part of the sheeple, and thats too much to ask in most cases.

Isn't it weird how Brian Billick has been called an offensive genius, but only his defenses are superior, or that Tony Dungy is supposedly a defensive strategist but only his offence is stellar?

Billick in Minnesota had the highest scoring offensive unit ever, before he got the Ravens job. And Dungy's defence rep comes from the late '90s Bucs. They both inherited teams going the other way, and built on that strength. I think Billick is a hack, and why doesn't Dungy get questioned with all his playoff losses?

I wondered the same thing. They were ready to fire Marty Schottenheimer for 'yet another loss in the playoffs,' and Peyton's poor post-season is brought up every NFL season, but Dungy's post-season record isn't much better than Marty's, and is worse than Peyton's record:

Schottenheimer 5-13 / .278 / from 1984
Peyton Manning 5-6 / .833 / from 1998
Tony Dungy5-8 / .625 / from 1995

Although I'm rooting for Peyton, it wouldn't surprise me to see Manning and Dungy's postseason record read 5-7 and 5-9 after this weekend.

I pulled the stat from an MSNBC article about him, crosschecking it against a couple other sites. But yes, I do not know if that includes the last game against the Chargers. I'm not sure if Manning's figures include this year, either.

If not, that makes Dungy 6-8 / .750 / 1995. Twice as good as Marty, but not quite the winning percentage of Manning, whether Manning's numbers include this past game or not. But Peyton wears the mantle of choke artist, whereas Dungy is considered a successful football coach, a notion I don't necessarily disagree with I'd just like to see these things reported more fairly.
