This may or may not be significant, but I've noticed that people around where I live don't care about the run-up to the Super Bowl this year compared to last year.

It may be because last year the Pats had a chance to go unbeaten.

The general consensus in a lot of bars seems to be "all the remaining teams suck."

Though, truth be told, a small contingent of white waterboy losers seem to think this is McNabb's year, because if he blows it now he may never get another chance this good.

My friend isn't having a Super Bowl party for the first time that I can remember. His reasoning is that the poor economy has caused him to re-evaluate his expenses for 2009 and that in turn has caused his interest to wane in non necessary things like the NFL. I am sure alot of it has to do also with following a team the Chicago Bears that teased their fans a couple years ago with being contenders but have now settled back comfortably into their usual role as a bad team with a bad coaching staff. Pretty expensive I would imagine when you have about 20-30 people there. It has always been a big shindig with him. He never did the pizza thing. It was always steaks and brats. with four really crappy teams in it, with the crappy players due to the Caste System, and with a TRUE unemployment rate (counting under-employed and discouraged workers) of 17.5% then yeah nobody really cares about the Super Bowl.

maybe there's a good hockey game on we can all watch.

Does anyone know who is throwing the ball to Larry Fitzgerald? So far all of the MSM sports sites are saying that "Larry Fitzgerald and the Cardinals are pouring it on the Eagles." I thought the Cardinals had a pretty good QB..'ol what's his name with the SB ring. Anyone remember his name?

Kevin Curtis and Brent Celek are putting on a show today! Kevin Curtis is the leading receiver in the game right now and Brent Celek has 2 TDs!

I like Jerheme Urban and Kurt Warner, but it looks like McNabb is learning who he has to depend on in the receiving game with Celek and Curtis. I hope the Eagles win this game with Kevin Curtis being the top receiver in the game. If Kevin can get a couple more nice catches, he might end up leading all receivers this weekend.

Before last weekend's games, I had a feeling the Eagles would beat the Giants. Now, I have the same sort of feeling that Arizona will beat the Eagles for the NFC Championship. It's just the kind of hunch that you get. If I turn out to be wrong, I will acknowledge it after the game.

A couple of days ago, I made the above prediction. This time I was right. I felt the home field, plus Kurt Warner, would spur the Cardinals to a win.

I think the uncalled pass interference will keep Curtis from being the goat, at least the primary one.Aikman called it right saying Curtis"had a chance" tocatch it. He was off-balance because of the interference and it was a bang-bang play.


Thatand the fact thatCurtis kept them in the game with some big plays, plus McNabb and Reid losing for the fourth time in five conference championship games.

Whew...that was a little too close. Wheels almost came off for the Cards but in the end Warner's passing and good receivers won the day. Way to go Warner!

Jim Nantz and Phil Simms are right at the top in terms of broadcast duos, along with Aikman and Buck.

We got the best of both worlds in the NFC championship game today. Celek and Curtis pretty much took over the game for the Eagles, once McNabb realized those were the guys he had to depend on. But in the end, I'm very happy to see McNabb lose, and Kurt Warner with a shot at a second SB ring.

And I must say, in this day and age of black worship by the media, that there are a few black athletes who are very good and deserve accolades. Larry Fitgerald is one such guy, in my opinion. He may very well be the best WR in the NFL, and from all I can gather he's a good guy on/off the field. No typical thuggish/gangsta behavior that I've ever seen or heard of from him.

All in all, I think worked out OK. Now, let's see how the AFC game turns out.

Every once in a while a whit eplayer truly earns their respect. Last white safety to beliked by the media? Pat Tillman i would think.

I totally agree with the whole being glad about there not being a black quarterback in the championship game again this year.

If McNabb had led his team to a Superbowl win -- even if he did short yardage dump-offs the entire time -- we'd never hear the end of it, EVER. And, McNabb would of course be a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame, if he isn't already.

Even though I am sympathetic toward Curtis and the other good white players on the Eagles roster, I'm especially glad that McNabb couldn't get the ring this year, because this seemed like his best chance to get it. It's not like the time a few years ago when Brady and the Pats just railroaded him. This time he actually would have been the favorite to win, maybe. He isn't even solely responsible for the Eagle's success this season.

Next year he'll be even older and maybe even more injury prone -- backup material all the way, unless he retires or somehow has a totally unexpected renaissance a la Kurt Warner. I'd like McNabb more and wouldn't mind him winning a Superbowl if it weren't for the racist comments he's made in the past about the supposed disadvantages that black QBs must fact because of white racism (okay man).

It's indeed disheartening at times to see whites excluded from football positions they can clearly excel in -- even on a level better than blacks, it seems in some ways -- but I am glad whites still consistently hold onto the QB slot.

Given the choice which I'd prefer whites to "own" in a league where whites are excluded from "owning" any other position, I'd certainly choose quarterback long before I chose running back or middle linebacker.

John Lynch was universally liked, even after he lost a step late in his career.

They actually gave him decent "props" for his athletism...I was (happily) surprised!

I forgot to mention that in the earlier game the announcers didn't seem to have any qualms about calling attention to McNabb's many bad first-half throws.

Tillman was widelydissed by the media for a supposed lack of athleticism until he leftthe NFL and joined the Army Rangers. Also by the DWFs, and his own coaching staff kept replacing him as a starter evenas he was racking upupwards of 200 tackles per season.


Lynch was the extremely rare white defensive player who received media respect. Urlacher is another. Mostly, white defensive players arejust way under-publicized, then the announcers seem surprised when they make good plays.

Fitzgerald conducted himself very well when he was at the University of Pittsburgh. Always just handed the ball to the ref after scoring. Although announcers routinely proclaim him as fast, he has just average speed. He has good size, great hands, and knows how to run routes and go for the ball. That sounds like the description of a lot of white WRs who never got an opportunity in the NFL. Despite his average speed, Fitzgerald was drafted third overall.


An argument can be made that the best players on the field in the two games today were Warner, Fitzgerald, Celek, Curtis, Roethlisberger, Leonhard, and Polamalu. The leauge's small minority ofwhite guys just keep on overachieving.
