I don't believe a word that McEminem says on this subject. Peyton is making some pretty stupid comments though. If he really believes its "just not his time" then he has much to learn about the Negrophile Football League.

McDaniels' comments are classic coach double speak, and they bode very ill for Hillis in Denver. Hillis certainly can do little but mouth the proper platitudes, because if he pitches a fit he's as good as done. I can't believe that some GM hasn't got his eyes on this kid to give him a chance as soon as the Broncos cut him loose. If not . . . .

No black player in the league who performed like Hillis did last year would be treated the way he has. Not only that, there is no black player in the league who would stand for such abuse by his idiot coach. That is one of the reasons that the caste system is so effective. The squeaking wheel gets the grease. Peyton's comments are disheartening, even frustrating, but not surprising. Self responsibility and even self critique is a WHITE THANG. It is a commendable quality in a person, but one that doesn't matter a hill of beans in the Black NFL, because self responsibility and self critique is not a BLACK THANG. Playing race cards and demanding special treatment is a BLACK THANG, and in the NFL that is the order of the day.

Peyton is showing admirable traits which in a sane world would absolutely be ideal. The problem is the NFL is not a sane world, and it is not going to become sane any time soon. That is why I simply refuse to support it or really even care about it. Peyton Hillis has the skills to outperform the majority of black RB's on any given Sunday, but he won't be given the opportunity to do because he is White.

Bear Backer you continue to hit home run after home run with your posts, I could not agree more and you said it just how I feel it. You have nailed the problem with white players, the NFL and society. Well done. I hate it, hate it, hate it, when a white athlete bends over and drops his shorts like this!!!!!!! Arggggghhhhhhh

and yes I KNOW he has to do this to even be considered to ever play again but I would not be disappointed if one of these guys just went postal and blasted his frickin coach for benching them without cause. Who knows maybe it would show somebody in the NFL that they have balls. No one wants a guy carrying the rock that acts like a wimp.

White Power I hope you are right and Hillis does manage to free himself from the Broncos in the near future. Asking a team to allow Hillis to be a starter on a team in today's NFL would be too much. I am hoping he can split carries somewhere.

I think Hillis thinks differently but as we know Colonel saying anything would probably end his NFL career. What a privilige it is to be white today.

I just can't think of a team that would give him a fair deal. Perhaps Cincinnati, but look at the scraps that Leonard gets there. Certainly not San Diego. The closest we get to a playing situation is the mulatto Fargas in Oakland and thats only because he is half black. This is sad for Hillis and the only consolation is that the boy mastermind has lost three in a row and most likely will make it four against the streaking Chargers.

It's hard to name any team in the league that would give a white runningback a fair deal. Jared Mcgrath was on a team I believe for one season without one carry and then cast aside. Travis Jervey was allowed to start some games because of injuries to black runningbacks on the Packers. Hillis showed he is very good and was demoted. The list goes on and on.

If the Broncos are going to run by committee, then why don't they run Burkhalter and Hillis instead of Moreno. It would seem Peyton's 5.0 YPC (from 2008) would better compliment Burkhalter's 5.5 YPC's this year, than Moreno unspectacular 3.9 YPC production. In my business, the axiom is to always let the data lead you. To me the data is pointing to something other than what Denver has employed this season. If one were to read the stat sheets alone, they would be advocating the same thing. Hmmm, I wonder what gives?

We should all be rooting against Denver more than any other team (with the possible exception of the Bengals). Of all the odious coaches, McEminem is the worst. What he's doing to Hillis is unconscionable, but entirely predictable.

Thanks to what McEnimem has done to him this season, I don't think there is another team that will give him a chance at running back.

As a former Broncos fan, I hope they lose every game left on the schedule.

Does anyone know the latest on this situation? Is Hillis out again? What is it the coach says about this, etc.? Are there any questions at all being raised about this affair in the Denver press or local TV media?

From my searching around the Denver papers and media, it's like Hillis is largely invisible. These press lackeys are so in love with their precious black affletes that they don't even see the back who is superior to the others. After all, who cares about white fullbacks, anyway?

The Bills are courting Mike Shannahan. That would be the ideal situation for Hillis. Their leading rusher is a below avg. veteran and Lynch is a troubled off the field player who has been awful this year.

Nevertheless, something that good is unlikely to happen.

i hope they trade or cut him after the season. while we're on the subject, Buckhalter missed a practice with the injury so Hillis might actually get a ball once or twice.

The way things went with Leonard...I would not be suprised to seethe Broncos to sign Edgerrin James with his sorry 2.7avg w/ Seahawks;to provide veteran leadership while Buckhalter is injured....

I should be excited with this Sunday's Broncos-Chargers match-up...but with Hester & Hillis wasting away...this gamewill be hard to watch instead!

Hopefully Shanahan get the Bills job(or another job)and Hillis can at least split-carries with Lynch....

I have a difficult time understanding why so many here seem to regard Shanahan as some kind of Caste buster. He has a long record that shows he is anything but. Hillis only played last year because a half dozen black running backs were injured. He had to play Hillis at that point.

In 15 years in Denver the only good thing Shanahan did was "allow" Ed McCaffrey to start, when he was 30 years old. Keith Poole, Travis McGriff, Patrick Jeffers and several other very capable White receivers came and went in Denver without getting any playing time to speak of. He had the first team that I'm aware of to not have a single White defensive player, even as a reserve. He is a typical NFL coach when it comes to the Caste System.

I was a big McCaffery fan, and that was the main reason I liked the Broncos. But it has become apparent now that the deck is stacked. I watched some highlight clip of that dude Gerhart that you guys always mention. If he does not get the Heisman then the Heisman doesn't mean too much.
Broncos suck for letting Kasper go, too.

I realize Peyton Hillis finally got his chance because of all of the injuries....was just hoping Shanahanfinally saw the light...and give Hillis a chance to inflict some damage as a thoroughbred runningback! What he did was noaccident his rookie season...Hillis is legit and he's got to know that! Edited by: TwentyTwo

All excellent points, and as sad as his record is, he did at least also sign John Lynch and was the coach who at least drafted Hillis and started using him before the injuries (Hillis had over 100 yards receiving before all the guys got hurt I believe). So I think playing under Shanahan would be better than 90%+ of the coaches out there. Even under Shanahan I wouldn't be that confident though.

Id be surprised if he gets a fair shot EVER, Anywhere. He showed hes as good as any back last year. But now he rides pine. I have to try hard not to let it anger me.
Hillis, Leonard, Jones, Hester, Luke Statley, Eric Crouch, Scott Frost, Furrey, and so many more over the years could have, and/or still could set reacords. That is, IF they were allowed to have the ball. Even guys that get a little chance dont have the numbers they should. Take a healthy Kevin Curtis for example. As good and electric as any WR Ive seen. He dosent get targeted 12 or 15 times a game. I see him running open often.
Every white player in football can know for certin, without question, beyond argument, that if they were even half black, they would be getting a way bigger number of touches. Seeing whats happend to Matt Jones, and even more so Hillis takes the wind out of my sails.

If untimely fumbles are what has put Hillis in McDaniels doghouse, he should soon be joined by Moreno, who couldn't have fumbled at a more crucial moment for the Broncos today. That drop may well have cost Denver the game today, and the season. Even Brandon Marshall, of all people, wanted to kick Moreno's butt for that. I can't help but think that Hillis would have punched that TD though.
