With 30 home runs and 31 steals on his ledger, Crow-Armstrong became the first Cubs player in team history to go 30-30 in consecutive seasons. He is the 10th player to do it in MLB history, joining José Ramírez (2024-25), Bobby Witt Jr. (‘23-24), Ryan Braun (‘11-12), Alfonso Soriano (‘05-06, ‘02-03), Vladimir Guerrero (‘01-02), Barry Bonds (1995-97), Ron Gant (‘90-91), Bobby Bonds (‘77-78), and Willie Mays (‘56-57).

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Crow-Armstrong joined Chris Young (Aug. 7, 2010), Ian Kinsler (July 19, 2009), Reed Johnson (June 15, 2003), Darin Erstad (June 25, 2000) and Vic Power (May 7, 1957) as the only players with a leadoff and walk-off homer in the same game. It was the fifth leadoff shot of Crow-Armstrong’s season, but the first walk-off blast of his career.

Offensively, he’s marching towards 40/40. At 39 homeruns and 33 stolen bases. This would be a big milestone, as 40/40 seasons are rare and mostly achieved by non-Whites. If you consider Jose Canseco White, then there has only been 1.

I wonder how Steve Cohen, who owns the New York Mets, and his wife feel about Pete Crow-Armstrong's success?

Cohen had him and let him go for basically nothing, at the urging of his 2nd (trophy) wife, who, according to some reports at the time, had become close friends with Mets super-turd Francisco Lindor. Media loves him; Mets players despise him.

Basically, Cohen's wife is a light-skinned (White) Puerto Rican. According to A.I., Alex Cohen is intensely proud of her Puerto Rican/Latin heritage. So, the moment she met Lindor and his (also White) Puerto Rican wife she became immediately smitten. Lindor could do no wrong. Lindor got what he wanted.

Lindor just got up one day in 2021 and decided he wanted to play with his childhood buddy (Baez) from Puerto Rico, as the Cubs were having a "fire sale" and going young. According to some, Alex Cohen urged the stooges in the Mets front office to do "whatever it takes" to get Baez, ergo make Lindor happy!

Well, "whatever it took", was the Mets had to give up a 19 year old Pete Crow-Armstrong, who was their #1 pick in the 2020 Covid Draft. Just devastating for the Mets!!!
