One of the highlights of the game was Crow-Armstrong’s eighth-inning triple against Jesse Chavez, an experienced reliever, marking it as the Cubs’ 10th triple for the season. This exceptional play also set a record for the fastest time any player has run from home to third base throughout the league this year, with PCA clocking in at an impressive 11.01 seconds. This feat now stands as the fastest in the 2024 MLB season.

This is kind of an oddity, but still impressive:

The Cubs 22-year-old rookie had multiple three-plus hit games, stole three or more bases in a game and scored four or more runs in a game. OptaSTATS reports that Crow-Armstrong is the first rookie in the modern era of MLB (since 1901) to accomplish all three of the aforementioned feats in a single series.

Crow-Armstrong is regarded as a player who can do plenty of different things on the field. He offers a blend of speed and power to go along with five-tool potential.

Pete Crow-Armstrong’s offense is becoming must-see TV.

And it’s not just because his swing changes have produced better and harder contact and more results.

It’s because he can seemingly create chaos anytime he’s at the plate or on the bases — Sunday was a prime example.

Pete Crow-Armstrong puts on a show in center field with three spectacular catches, including a game-winning home run robbery in the 9th

Some great catches and all in one game. Doesn't make the BSPN front page though nor does it make the headlines of the MLB page on BSPN.

Wow, the final out homerun robbery should have been a top headline. BSPN was probably too busy writing about the WNBA (but not Clark) and Tyrek Hill being a “victim of the police”.
