Nikola Jokic 2021,2022 & 2024 NBA MVP

Nikola Jokic has already been robbed of an NBA MVP 2 years ago. He really needs to win this year to help make up for that. Jokic would
tie Lebron James and Wilt Chamberlain if he wins his 4th. The All Time Record is 5 NBA MVP Awards by Jordan and Abdul Jabbar.

This is more a reflection of the eras than anything else. In 1998, Jordan's 28.7 ppg was the highest in the league and the Bulls were 69-13. I'm sure you could build a similar image to imply that Russell Westbrook's MVP season was better than any of Bird's in the 80s.
Fair points…Who is your vote for 2025 NBA MVP?

SGA will win the award for the reasons I mentioned earlier, but Jokic is clearly the best player in the league. In all fairness, both Jordan and Lebron have been victims of "voter fatigue" in the past - see Derrick Rose's 2011 MVP and Karl Malone's 1997 MVP.

I’m okay with SGA winning it this season. Jokic needs to chase Championships from here on out!

Jokic is injured and will give the talking heads more reason to talk up SGA the MVP. I read an article that his elbow was very discolored and he had a bad ankle too.

NIkola Jokic is only the 3rd player in NBA History to average a Triple Double for the whole season! What an incredible basketball player!

Jokic robbed again of the MVP award.
Honestly, I believe this is racism.

I 100 percent agree with you. The stats are so much better that it is laughable. Jokic should have 5 MVP Awards by now. They can't
have him do what the magical athletes do. What a joke and a slap in the face to the best basketball player on earth.

Jokic had his best statistical season ever and was only the 3rd player in NBA history to average a triple double. SGA is simply a very good player on the top team. If you swapped him to the Nuggets, I don’t even think he’d finish top 10 in voting. This is racial politics in play. Anti-Whites like Stephen A Smith have even publicly stated they won’t vote for Jokic and use their media platform to campaign against him.

I think this is just another event that will continue the awakening and noticing of White people….

Voter fatigue is a thing; it gets boring if you just give it the same guy every year. It's probably better to look at top 2 finishes.

Looking at Jokic vs some of the more famous NBA players, and how many times they finished top 2 in MVP voting:

LeBron - 8 (06, 09, 10, 12, 13, 14, 18, 20)
Jordan - 8 (87, 88, 89, 91, 92, 96, 97, 98)

Kareem - 7 (71, 72, 73, 74, 76, 77, 80)

Jokic - 5 (21, 22, 23, 24, 25)
Magic - 5 (85, 87, 89, 90, 91)

Durant - 4 (10, 12, 13, 14)

Shaq - 3 (95, 00, 05)

Giannis - 2 (19, 20)
Curry - 2 (15,16)
Kobe - 2 (08, 09)

Kyrie - 0
Rodman - 0

Uh, I think it's worth noting that Bird has 6 top 2 finishes whom I have in my top 3 all time players!
Bird-6 (81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86)
1. Jordan, although Bird never lost a playoff series to Jordan even though Bird was much older and injured!
2. Jabbar/Bird
3. Bird/Jabbar
