To me, Shurmer is actively trying to destroy Hillis' season. Peyton is deadly on the stretch play, like you have said, and the not so curious absence of it is telling.

At this rate, if Shurmer and even Holmgren are going to be in Cleveland for a while, I hope Hillis' takes his immense talents elsewhere (can you imagine how good he we be in Green Bay, Houston or New England??)

Totally unrelated to current games - but Yahoo fantasy football stats still do not have a profile picture for Joe Flacco - I just thought that was amusing.

3 and out for CLE to start the first drive of the 2nd half. Hillis sees zero touches. The stadium looks about half empty. The booing continues. This is in total contrast to last season when CLE was still losing, but Hillis was being used a lot more and energizing the crowd with his play. I miss Mangini right now.

Thanks for the report. Glad to see the crowd is voting with their feet and leaving. While the Marketing Department in the front-office suckered the fans into buying season tickets by aggressively promoting Peyton Hillis, the Diversity/Caste Department in the front-office is making sure that he (as well as Evan Moore, members of the O-line, etc.) know their proper place in the lineup, and that's behind the unqualified AA hires starting ahead of them.

At this point in the game Hillis has 9 carries and the afflete has 7. Hardesty is also getting more looks from McCoy in the passing game. It's almost a 50/50 split and it's sickening at the very least. What the hell is wrong with the idiot head coach? Did Hardesty and some of the affletes put up a fit during practice and now Hardesty is getting more carries as a result? I wouldn't be surprised.

Marv Albert and Rich Gannon openly lobbying for Hillis to get more touches. Hardesty drops an easy pass that would have been a 1st down.Mccoy just throws a terrible INT returned for a long TD. The wheels are coming off in CLE. This is just ugly stuff all around.

Good point. I was going to make that point as well. I wouldn't be surprised either. It's why Sage Rosenfelds is rotting on some bench somewhere while Tavaris Jackson gets another starting QB shot at SF. It's why Bolden at Penn St gets the starting nod over McGloin. These teams fill their rosters with street thugs and then expect them to follow what the coaches say and have a team-oriented protocol when they've never shown that capability up to this point in their lives, whether at school, home, or in general, in society.

It's low in the 80's today in the valley and in the low 70's in the mountains. The Aspens are at their peak now...think I'll be doing some hiking the rest of the day.

Wow, Hillis with back to back touches in the current drive. First a catch, followed by a run to pick up a first down. Why hasn't this been going on all game?

Peyton started the season a little slow. I wouldn't be surprised if the affletes on the team made a scene for Hardesty to get more carries. Hardesty was an early pick(2nd round) so the team probably feels he has plenty of "upside." It's so frustrating that the league won't even allow a single white running back to be a 100 percent, unquestioned full time starter.

Third and 1 and Hillis nowhere to be seen. Hardesty gets the call and loses a yard.

The absolute worst part is they are utilizing Hardesty in the redzone... Peyton's zone. He is a TD machine and isn't used...

St. Louis finally scores... a FG.

San Fran is inching back.

Yeh, I was pleasantly surprised by that. Looks like Hillis and his role will be the center of "controversy" this coming week and beyond. Just like in Denver, he is humble and does his job well but somehow ends up in the "doghouse." Reminds me of the Tebow situation. The NFL can only tolerate minor White success at non-QB positions. We can only hope more White athletes and fans see what's going on.

Yes, Hardesty was on the field the entire time in the redzone on that drive. I hate to to say it, but this week has told us a lot. Hillis is getting royally screwed now and only an injury to Hardesty will get him his old job back.

Crunch time for Minnesota and Donovan McDrabb. Any chance we'll see the "invisible man" Gerhart? I didn't think so. He's has a whopping 1 carry for 3 yards today right up the gut. Oh, another carry for Toby, directly up the middle into the Chiefs fatsos for a yard.

Hardesty with another drop, and the announcers are ripping him. Why isn't Peyton out there catching these balls? He has a proven track record as an excellent receiver. This is too upsetting, so I'm done watching this game.

Shurmur isn't worried about what the fans think. He knows, like all NFL types know, that it takes very little to refresh the anti-white sentiment of DWFs. For example, here's a comment from the Browns Board today:

I think Hardesty is a better runner, catcher and blocker. I have no problem with him getting touches.

They gave it to Hillis on 3rd and 1 and he didn't get it, so they tried something different.

Hillis was the best pass catching runningback in college football while he was at Arkansas. But brainwashed DWFs see what they want to see.

At least Hillis is outplaying the afflete. It will be hard to justify a continued 50/50 split with the obvious difference in talent that even the DWFs can notice, especially since it cost the Browns ANY chance at vivtory. Without Hillis (easily their best player) being utilized the browns won't even finish 500...

I just hope Hillis stays healthy so he can sign as UFA witrh a team that will make him the unquestionable starter. Holmgren destroyed Jervey's career so it's probably best that PH leaves Cleveland so he doesn't get that chance with Peyton!

Hardesty with his THIRD drop of the day (mind you, these are 2 yard swing routes we're talking about!) as the DWFs collectively boo. Clearly he's a much better pass catching running back than Hillis.

Huge win for the Texans against the Steelers. It was well earned because Roethlisberger was brilliant all game.

CHIEFS win! And, it looks like Chicago just put away Cam by scoring a TD!
