Speaking of A-train: I think Hillis has a little bit more speed in him than Alstott. Alstott was very nimble and quick for his size and could break tackles like it's absolutely nobodies business; probably better than Hillis in that last regard. But if Hillis could lose 10-15 lbs again, he could probably run a legit 4.5 which would be very rare for his weight.
Hillis looked very slippery on some of his runs just eluding his way through the line. I hope he does this for the rest of the season and the Bronco's can make the Super Bowl!
You guys never know. If the Broncos were to make it to the Super Bowl and Hillis has a big game there and does well the rest of the season; he may be Denver's starting HB at the beginning of next season!

Excellent game from Jared Allen so far, btw.
I have a couple of comments to make about this week's games. First of all I watched the whole Broncos game from start to finish and don' t remember enjoying a game as much as I did this one.
I liked that at the end the commentators started commenting on Hillis's abilities more than on the offensive line.
I also enjoyed when Hillis made that spin move and gained like 7 yards single handedly witout any good blocking and the commentators were SPEECHLESS for like 20 seconds, it was magic to my ears. That's right bitches that's a white man running the f**king ball.
I also caught a glimpse of the Pitt-NE game, and I must say in those couple of minutes I saw more dropped passes than ever, even the commentators couldn't let it pass, there was a couple of plays in a row when it looked worse than high school football.
it was f**king enjoyable to watch those bitches struggle to catch routing passes. Anyways this was a great week hopefully the Mondaynighter is just as good. MATT JONES and WALTER baby.

I didn't get to see the New England game, but is Wes Welker ok? I noticed his streak of games with at least 6 receptions ended today.

Man, I hope Wes is ok and that Clark gets his "axe" fined off for it. Did they call a penalty for the late hit?
Jared Allen was far and away the dominant defensive playerof the game, but Al and John had to"even it out" by also includingPat Williams with Allen on the "horse trailer" as a second, undeserving defensive player. Adrian Petersonalso made it for his hard running.

After watching that pittiful excuse of lack of accountability against a decent but beatable Vikings team, I am convinced that Lovie Smith "I got misty eyed for Obama" and his coaching staff are the worst in the entire NFL.
Jared Allen made John St Clair look like a piece of garbage.
The Bears don't have one WR who can catch the football with any consistency. Where is Mike Hass when you need him? Oh yeah thats right, Lovie don't like no cracka's.

The two-headed moron Berman-Jackson had one Hillis highlight, the touchdown, and a very quick observation "He ran for 129 yards." That was it.

Superman Hester dropped at least two catchable passes. I predicted that he'd be a bust at WR, but of course losing is better than having two white men catching the ball in the same game. Why on earth don't the Bears trade Hass?

I just checked and Reggie Bush's career long rush is still just 29 yards. Hillis had three 19 yard runs in this game alone and became the first RB to go over 100 yards against the Jets all season. All the pundits predicted the Broncos would have to throw just about every down because they wouldn't be able to move the ball on the ground.Instead the ground game opened up the air attack.
What Hillis did should have been a major storyline (again this week). It is being downplayed (again) only because of his race. Hopefully some of the hundreds of thousands of people who have visited this site arebeginning to understandhow the media works in creating and maintaining the Caste System.

I was listening to the game on our québec french sports network and the play-by-play guy compared Hillis to Lumsden lol
you just can't make that up. The analyst then awnsered "I just hope he doesn't get hurt... sorry that was a free-shot"

It just makes me sick about how Jacob Hester is being treated. He would be a star as well running the ball. Look how good he did in preseason. Jacob was tearing it up as he showed his potential to be a starting running back. My hope is that Hillis will remain at number one running back and by doing so open peoples eyes. If Hillis can suceed, we might just see Hester and Leonard get a fair shot down the road. At this moment in time, Hillis is as important to our cause as any running back in a long time. He has to take the job and run with it. Do not surrender your spot to anyone Peyton!

Peyton Hillis has unleashed a firestorm, at least for this weekend. You should check out the Broncos forum at the Denver Post. Here's a sampling of some of the comments: (as best as I remember, not direct quotes)
