Since this week begins early I thought I'd start the thread.

Tonight, Thursday 17 November, it is one of my most hated teams the trash talking (coach included) NY Jets (5-4) up against Tim Tebow's Broncos (4-5).

Other games of interest in week 11:

Eagles@NY Giants - a loss for Vick's Eagles would leave the "Dream Team" of Andy Reid at 3-10:biggrin:

Buccaneers@Green Bay - The Packers looking to make it 10-0

Chargers@Chicago - I'm hoping Philip Rivers can shut his critics up

Titans@Atlanta - the loser not likely to make playoffs

I'm not going to be able to watch most of this game due to work. Hoping for the Broncos to shock the Jets. I think they should come out passing alot on first down occasionally to keep the Jets from stacking the box. This would be a huge victory for Denver and it would even their record at 5-5 if they win. Hoping for some great "Tebow Time" and "Tebow Magic" tonight. I also hope Decker breaks out for a 100 yard game.

70% would rather have Tebow over Sanchez. The NFL Network affirmative action hired panelists sure didn't like it.

I have been watching the pregame as well. To be fair I have actually heard quite a bit of positive and fair analysis of Tebow from numerous guys on it. There is a definite change in some of the coverage of him. At least I have noticed some. Although I did hear that after the poll as well. Who was it? Deon and Irvin shaking there heads in disgust?

Did you see the interview with Elway? Unless he was just completely b/sing (which is very possible) he actually seemed to support Tebow. Maybe he came around or is coming around. I hope they start playing to his strengths. Give him a chance. I watched his last few games and as many others have pointed out. The coaches seemed to be trying to sabotage him with the play calling for most of the games.

It would be great if he can play well tonight and get another win against the Jets. I would most like for Decker to burn Revis for a long TD. Im tired of hearing about Revis. Although he does play pretty well... What other play player can get away with holding every play?

I forgot to add in that maybe the NFL came to their senses and would rather have the profit (from the huge Tebow following) instead of trying to sabotage his career. Even though there is still many Tebow hater talking heads I have noticed quite a few actually starting to support him. A big change from just a few weeks ago when the only thing you would hear about him was that he will never win as an NFL QB.

They are about the show a interview with Tebow in around a minute or two. It should be interesting. This guy generates either love or hatred depending who you talk to. I'm a huge fan as all of you guys here know. Come on Tebow!

Michael Irvin says leaving aside whether Tebow has the skills he is a leader who can galvanize his team.

When he asked Rex Ryan about Tebow Deion started laughing.

I don't know if it says much. Elway can hardly disparage his starting QB publicly.

Talented White quarterbacks are a "dime a dozen" almost, so the fact that Tebow is a White quarterback isn't what makes the media hate him.

It's the fact that he is not a traditional drop-back passer, but plays in the manner the MSM suggested only Black quarterbacks could play, thus "revolutionizing" the position.

Tebow is potentially better than Michael Vick or Daunte Culpepper ever were, so of course this sticks in the media's craw..

I don't think a quarterback of Tebow's style is any better than a dropback passer like Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning, or worse, either. It's just a different style.

The media abhors Tebow because he hammers home the point that no matter how you slice it, whether you want a traditional QB or a flashy, "speedy" one, quarterback IS A WHITE MAN'S POSITION.

Seems like that should have been a play that Tebow went shotgun in.

Whoever the announcer is, he gave Jim Leonhard some good praise. I myself didnt know he had to walk on Wisconsin as well.

In order for Tim Tebow to succeed, the Broncos need to let him throw the ball more. I like watching the option but the teams will continue to load most of their men up front to stop any type of run. They need to mix up the plays more. Tebow can throw alot better than people give him credit for. His arm is strong and his accuracy is around average. He will get better but only with more experience and by opening up the play book. Let's go Broncos.

Yea the play calling was pretty good the first drive until they got stuffed on 4-inches. Then after the long kick return it was back to run run pass. Mcgahee has 8 rush for 12 yards. not very effective.

I agree that Tebow should be passing a lot more. He threw for over 9,200 yards and 88 TDs at Florida, and 654 yards and 5 TDs in three games last year, but now he's treated like a retard who's incapable of throwing a forward pass. Yes, he's been making some inaccurate throws, but he's made some very nice ones too. Tebow needs practice and experience in the passing game, not to have passing all but eliminated from the playbook. I think he's almost guaranteed to fail eventually the way the Denver offense is now.

Probably not the best idea to try to strip the ball there due to it easily becoming a TD just by a Jets player falling on it.

"Jets with 2 turnovers within 10 seconds." Heh.:) Unfortunately I won't be able to watch the conclusion of this game.

Very little is being made of all the dropped balls Tebow is throwing. Strange too because Decker has dropped two - a chance to put down a white receiver that the media rarely misses (see jordy nelson superbowl). The last series saw Tebow make a miraculous escape followed by a Decker stomach drop and then a Demarius Thomas two handed drop on third. That was followed by the ad nausea commentator speech on Tebow's inability to make NFL quality throws.

Here's an idea John Fox, how about not running straight up the gut on EVERY SINGLE first down. At what point does one quit trying that? 7, 8, 9 first downs in a row of no gain. It's a set-up and everybody knows it.

Couldn't sleep, so I got to watch that awesome TD. Going to be sorry in the morning though.

awesome 95 yard drive by Tebow to score. Elway didn't look too happy but the fans are going nuts. The camera focused on Leonhard after Tebow scored, when he had nothing to do with the touchdown. It was an all out blitz on a passing play, he outran it. They should have been doing more of these plays all game long. If they want to run Tebow just block everyone instead of the zone read, the rbs aren't that great. Just run traditional run plays, just have the qb run them instead of a qb handing to a rb.

The commentator kept saying the Jets had a time-out but I thought they'd used them all.

and the Jets would have had more time for a few more shots if McKnight had simply gone out of bounds instead of trying to get more yards. More upside than Woodhead lol, he looked like garbage and got his chunks of yards when they played prevent d.
