NFL Week 11

The league is despicable. The best college running back from a few years ago has less carries than a wide receiver. Is this the insurance policy that Gerhart was supposed to be in case Peterson got injured? Even the DWF's should be able to figure this one out.

Dolphins are crushing the Bills - I wonder if this means that Tebows win over Miami still means nothing? *pensive pose*

Well there response would probably be that Harvin wasw a hybrid rb/wr at UF. I understand using him on a few gadget plays but he just doesn't have the size or skillset to more than a few. He has 4 carries for 13 yards, with a long of 18..which means he got an 18 yard probably on a gadget play and has -5 yards on the rest of the carries.

Gerhart is even more screwed by the fact they had some special teams mistakes and they are behind 24-7, which will give the coach an excuse to go away from running. We still have an entire half so I will try to remain optomistic.

It's refreshing to see Neild, Carricker and Kerrigan putting lots of pressure on Tony Romo. I believe Reed Doughty was starting today for the injured Landry but he has no tackles at halftime.

Chris Obonowana or whatever his name is has 9 carries for 17 yards. I'm kind of happy Hillis is injured because no running back in the entire league would be able to put up decent numbers in that offense. Hopefully they upgrade the offensive line for next season and keep Hillis.

Ponder has 54 rushing yards. It's surprising that so fast white qb's are actually staying at the position in the NFL. Guys like Matt Jones, Eric Crouch, and Frost had to play other position. Now we have Locker, Ponder, Tebow, and Gabbert who are all great runners. It's a shame we haven't seen Locker start some games yet though.

If Gerhart were Black I think his coaches would put him in more often based on pigmentation alone, though if Toby were Black, he'd more likely advocate (ahem, WHINE) on his own behalf to get some minutes.

Gerhart's stereotypically White trait of deferring respectfully to the supposed authority of the coach, sacrificing individual glory for an overall team effort, and stoically doing the job you've been asked to do, are totally working against him in a "professional" league that no longer (in this caste era) appreciates these values.

The NFL seems to be in decline; I don't care so much if there are a lot of Black people in the league, but the NFL is a disastrous role-model for youths to follow, indeed is vastly inferior to the character-building that occurs even when playing kickball in a grade-school P.E. class, under the aegis of a female.

unless i missed a series, Gerhart has 1 carry in the second half thus far. it went for 8 yards, and Gerhart looked very explosive. the result? he gets to block some more ...

Winslow drops WIDE OPEN 2 point conversion pass so Tampa does not tie GB.

Wow - amazing.

Touchdown Kuhn!!

Kuhn scores a TD - Troy Aikman immediately diminishes it by saying "Sometimes I think McCarthy is just trying to figure out who hasn't had a TD recently" - indicating the ball was forced to Kuhn out of fairness and not because of his ability.

I don't remember him saying the same thing when Raji scored...

Jimmy Chitwood, nice to see you posting again! I like your newer, last two quotes.

I'm glad I'm not watching Minnesota because I'm sure I'd be even more upset by the kinds of plays they are calling when Gerhart gets the ball.

Well the Vikings are doing Christian Ponder no favors as he seems to have the opposite problem as Tim Tebow. With Peterson out and Gerhart in they seem determined not to run the ball and/or force it to the erratic Percy Harvin.

Vikings first and goal at the one - of course they pass it. What did we expect a hand-off to Gerhart?
