NFL week 1

Urlacher intercepted Ryan.

McGraw and Piscitelli playing for Chiefs, saw them both on the field at the same time.

that's a VERY fast safety tandem, although i've always held that McGraw is better suited to play corner than safety. he's thin, not a big hitter, has 4.3 speed (or did coming out of college), and is much stronger in coverage than against the run. of course, he has that damn skin disorder which prevents him from being considered a cornerback ... so the point is moot in the modern NFL.

Chiefs corner got burnt bad on one of the plays i've seen, i'm sure they will get the blame.

Texans are taking Colts to school, Daniels, Dreesen and Casey are all involved, not much from Walter so far.

Hardesty is in and not doing a terrible job... not good

why is Kerry Collins starting at quarterback for Indianapolis instead of Orlovsky? i can understand his struggles today, because the guy was sitting at home just a couple of weeks ago. why did the Colts keep a back-up on the roster if he wasn't good enough to be the next guy in line when the starter goes down? that's weird, to me.

Hillis isn't struggling.
There was literally nothing there for him.

For Hardesty, there were gaping holes.

Scott Chandler is having a good game for Bills, TD and a long reception already

Damn! What is going on today? Nothing from Walter, Collie, and Hillis is struggling.

it's not Collie's fault for not having numbers. the entire passing game for Indy is non-existent today as Kerry Collins struggles mightily to even get the ball out cleanly from under center.

Jimmy, he just missed Collie on a deep route as well. Manning might be out for the whole season, or at least most of it. It certainly looks like the Colts will have a bad year. They've allowed the Texans to pile up 24 points and it's not even halftime.

i've only seen the last two possessions for Cincy, but i've counted at least 2 drops already by the "phenomenal" affletes that Dalton is throwing to. perhaps every one of his incompletions will be a drop, considering how accurately he is throwing the ball today in his debut.

a nice athletic run by McCoy to pick up a first down on 3rd-and-long.

and finally a long run by Hillis with a nasty stiff-arm thrown in.

Cleveland's offense is finally clicking.

and there's Evan Moore! (still, they should have just run it in with Hillis!)

Evan Moore finally gets on the field ... and promptly catches a touchdown!

some weird play calling, though, after getting a first-and-goal from the 5-yard line. one power run (Hillis for 3 yards) then two obvious passes coming out of non-power formations. oh well, it worked as McCoy to Moore notches a score.

Brian Leonard with a long run on 3rd and miles.

Texans are up 34-0 at halftime. it's going to be a logn season for Collie, White and Gonzalez...

after a 6-yard run on first down by Hillis, Cleveland stalls with two straight incompletions. ugh. and once again, neither pass was thrown toward Evan Moore ... who wasn't even on the field during the "drive."

The Eagles ran a play out of the Split-T formation.
That was nice to see. I wish other teams had such creativity, because I can't cheer for anything Michael Vick does.

Matt Roth with a sack for his new team, Jags. John Chick is also rotating in.

Dennis Pitta has 2 for 45, he's very much involved in the game, along with ****son.

Amendola has 4 for 40, no sign of Riley Cooper who is buried on Eagles dept chart.

all white guys on this drive, Hillis and now Moore spread out wide. lots of praise for him (Evan Moore: "he can catch anything", "he deserved this contract extension")

Moore makes a second appearance, this time split out wide, and makes a nice catch for a first down. 16 yards, i think. why isn't this guy on the field all the time?

Hey guys. Could someone please send me a p.m. for a link to the Browns/Bengals Game. Thanks.

again, questionable playcalling by Browns. pound it in with Hillis behind Marecic! trying a jump ball to Moore, i can agree with that, but Cribbs throw was ill-advised.

Dane Sanzenbacher caught his first NFL pass.

it took 4 seasons and just 1 chance for Scott Chandler to get to catch some ball, and damn, is he good at it!

Urlacher just returned a fumble for a 12 yard TD!
