Sean Considine will be active on special teams and occasionally in nickel or dime packages.

Also note, it appears that Brian Leonard is still suffering from a shoulder injury. Dan Kreider got the start at FB for the Rams.Edited by: PhillyBirds

Also, Drew Bennett was injured on his first reception of the game. He was carted off the field. Sorry for all the spam!Edited by: PhillyBirds

For the love of Mike Detroit's D stinks.

Is Furrey now relegated to kickoff returns? Chrissakes.

Crawling back into the game. 21-14 at half.

Matt Jones has five catches for 69 yards. He could put up these types of numbers every game if they had a decent quarterback. Furrey is getting so screwed in Detroit. I really hope he goes somewhere else where he gets a chance to start again.Edited by: whiteathlete33

Dan Klecko has a sack, then went in at FB and paved the way for a Brian Westbrook TD.

Stewart Bradley is all over the field too. However, I get nothing but crow, because DeSean Jackson is having an unreal game. I was 100% wrong...

DeSean Jackson had a good game. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets Kevin Curtis's job now. One interesting note, the 4 players that got sacks on the Bills are all white.

they probably will keep him as slot, he's a god fit, plus being a rookie, he might need some time. if anything he should get Brown's job. we shall see!

Ryan Boschetti was released by the Redskins some time ago. I believe he is still a free agent.

As much as I loathe the cowboys, Jason Witten is having a big game.

Chargers have as many as 7 whites on defense today! they had Olshansky, Bingham, Castillo, Smith, Wilhelm, Weddle and Gregory on at times
smiley32.gif

on a flip side of the coin, Hester has no touches so far while rookie fullback Tolbert has 6...

Weddle had an excellent game, his first as the full-time starter. He'll get his share of big plays this year -- and be one of the leading safeties in the leaguewhen it comes to tackles.

A long touchdown on his first pass and a nice win for the Falcons. He's the story of the day so far.

He had a fabulous game, but I'm sure the only thing the coaches will see is the man standing closest to him catching the game-winning touchdown...

A long touchdown on his first pass and a nice win for the Falcons.  He's the story of the day so far.

He is already a big time upgrade as a first start Rookie over what they had with "Mr Franchise" Mike Vick in six years. I can only imagine how much more successful the Falcons would have been since 2002 had they had a real QB instead of a caste system nightmare.

BTW, I love that picture on NFL game center with Ryan cool in the pocket about to release a pass. That picture is so typical of the NFL. 2 white linemen giving their QB a couple extra seconds to throw, while the overrated black Sumo is the one who gives up on his blocking assignment. That happens about 100 times on any given Sunday in the NFL.Edited by: Bear Backer

Dusty Dvoracek got the start for Chicago at nose tackle. I didn't even know he still was under contract by anyone. Nice surprise.

About time the Bears started using Olsens speed and size to their advantage.

Now if they would realize he is a better weapon over the middle of the field as well than Lovie's black buddy Dez Clark.Edited by: Bear Backer

I criticised Tony Ugoh last seasonfor letting Manning get killedwhen he whiffed on pass protection. Tonight, I turned the game on and watched ONLY one stinkin play.Ugoh whiffs again, allowing an easy sack of Manning. Geez.

Is it my imagination, or doesit seem like there's a slight uptick in the # of white players this season? Just an unofficial assessment based on the games I watched today, as well as all the highlights.

Could it be that ratio is closer to 35-65 as opposed to the 30-70 it's been for a few years? Boy, I'd love to see that number get closer to 40-60.Of course, in an ideal world, it'd be at least 70-30, but since we'll never get awhite majority in the NFL, I'lltake any gains we can get.

Did anyone notice that all the black rookie RBs even ones drafted in the last few rounds seemed to get at least a carry or so each. Mike Hart, Tim Hightower, I think Tashard Choice etc. etc. Meanwhile Jacob Hester gets "zero" carries, when he was supposed to take over Michael Turners old role and Brian Leonard will probably continue to be underutilized or used incorrectly. It's almost a conspiracy, with this situation with talented white RBs. Almost every team now is using a second RB to give the starter a breather except the Chargers and Rams. Plus they may not be second teamers at all. The other black RBs do not want an upcoming "whitey" RB being a true second teamer.

With all due respect, TJR, I don't think there is any "almost" in this conspiracy...
