QB Cam Newton in danger of missing 2019?

Source: ESPN.com - David Newton

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (shoulder) is not guaranteed to play at all in 2019 as the team considers all of its options regarding his injured shoulder. Per ESPN.com's David Newton, the organization has been in discussions with medical personnel on the best plan to strengthen the shoulder - whether that's with rest or another surgery. A surgery opens the possibility Newton could miss a season - just as Andrew Luck did in 2017 - after undergoing surgery on his throwing shoulder.

This will be one of the most closely watched stories this offseason. Stay tuned.

A couple of things. Why didn't the Panthers get rid of that bum after his meltdown after that super bowl? A good idea that they pick up Foles but I think favor giving the young White QBs they already have on the roster a shot.

Last week the Seattle Seahawks signed former Cleveland starting defensive tackle Jamie Meder, who did not play last season. Not sure why he was never signed at any point last fall, as he seemed to be healthy? I suppose he was just "caste aside". They also signed safety/special teams mascot Justin Currie last week, who played in a few regular season games with Cleveland a couple years ago. Today plantation Pete's crew really amazed me when it was announced they signed former Broncos quarterback/2016 first round pick Paxton Lynch.

Not sure why the Seahawks would suddenly sign white players, as it's been pretty clear for a while "whites need not apply" in Seattle -- with the exception of guards, centers, tight ends and kicking specialists.

Honestly, I find it surprising any of their agents would even recommend they sign with Seattle, knowing they have little chance to stick. Lynch in particular, seems to be a long shot, considering the Hawks only carry two quarterbacks and seem to be set with Wilson and backup Brett Hundley, a pending free agent, who possesses an amazing upside -- he showed that with Green Bay in 2017, right?

I assume, perhaps, the only "potential" positive here is the Seahawks locker room is so toxic that Plantation Pete and his cucked GM wanted to add some fringe "lunch-pail" types to help motivate the "real athletes" they covet? Not sure that is the case, but would seem to be the only plausible scenario that could work for the trio. It's possible Pete wanted to sign them for comic relief purposes? Jerk them around and torture them in OTA's and the pre-season, knowing they are not wanted once the season starts. The "real athletes" will love that!

Attempted hit job on Carson Wentz, according to “anonymous sources”:

https://bleacherreport.com/articles...ed-as-selfish-qb-fails-to-take-accountability

This bit caught my attention:

“But Wentz reportedly played "favorites," namely tight end Zach Ertz, and would check out of running plays that Foles would allow the offense to run. ”

I have no doubt that noted locker room cancer and anti-white racist scumbag Michael Bennett is the ring leader of this hit piece. And looks like some “bruthas” didn’t like Zach Ertz getting the ball too much in his all-pro season. It’s also interesting that Ertz’s production went down when Foles took over late in the season. It’s not that these players like Foles, it’s that he will apparently throw more to the black pass catchers as opposed to Ertz, and that’s all that matters.

It looks like some players have come out in defense of Wentz, so maybe the story will go away. Reminded me of what happened in Dallas some years ago, when Terrell Owens and some other black players on offense demanded a meeting with OC (Jason Garett I believe), because they felt Tony Romo was targeting his friend Jason Witten too much.

Those "anonymous sources" are always cowards. Calling a QB "selfish" while hiding behind the mask of anonymity is a Johnathan Martin-type bitch move.

Good news is, Wentz and Foles are both cultural conservatives who wanted their White House visit (derailed by the Judeo-Bolshevik owner and the militant racist blacks on the team) with President Trump after they won the Super Bowl last year.

Dallas WR Cole Beasley is in the news complaining that the front office limited his touches. Safe to say Beasley, who will be a FA, won't be playing with the Cowboys next season.

I am not a big fan of WRs going on about "touches and targets" ( something a lot of black WRs do) but in the end probably a nice maneuver by Cole who was drastically underused in Dallas. Under the right conditions Cole has all the tools to become a star or near star slot receiver so if any team needs one he is an obvious choice. And Prescott as everyone knows is limited.

During a game this season Cole got on Prescott and told him throw me the damn ball and he finally did. And guess what the Cowboys won big in that game behind a huge game from Beasley. Cole rightfully didn't go public against his QB for that would have been career suicide. Don't burn your bridges as they say. I think WR Benjamin did that with Cam Newton and I believe he is now out of the league.

I will leave it up to fellow members to guess where he might end up but I think at the end of the day he needs a change of scenery..

Yep, this is in the NYPost. But don't look for the Jets to get him. That'd be the smart thing to do and the Jets are not known for doing smart things.

Beasley to LAC to give Rivers a White Guy to throw to would be nice. To GB makes sense to replace Cobb as Slot but we all know the affletic direction they've trended. Yup to NYJ to give Darnold an established WR also makes sense .

Here's what Beasley said,

When another (fan) tweeted that they were torn between seeing Beasley, set to become a free agent in March, remain with the Cowboys and seeing Beasley leave for a nice contract and system that will make the most of his skills, Beasley said, “Utilization is more important than money.”

“Well Linehan is gone,” a fan noted.

“Honestly, the front office pushes who they want to get the ball to,” Beasley wrote. “I haven’t been a huge priority in that regard. Maybe that will change but I’m not sure. More balls come my way in 2 minute drill where nothing is planned.”

Realistically, Cole Beasley has reached his potential in the NFL. He’s not a Thielen or Edelman talent that can take over a game. A 5’8” undrafted White wide receiver as starting slot receiver on the Dallas Cowboys is a great gig. 50-80 catches and 500-800 yards per season is outstanding. He will be 30 next year and would be wise to stay put. He could sign with another team and easily disappear into oblivion.

I agree Beasley shouldn't have burned his bridges with the Cowboys, if that's how Dallas looks at it. There was no interest in Brian Hartline even when he was still in his prime. Eric Decker could barely find a team to sign with the last couple years of his career. Beasley just may find there is no interest from any teams to give him the chance to be used more than he was with the Cowboys, maybe no interest in signing him just as a backup.

icsept, I agree 100%. He's basically a more athletic version of Danny Amendola. Beasley has more freaky athletic skills for his height; but Danny possesses better hands and is much more clutch. In the end, their numbers are stunningly similar. However, despite fairly modest regular season stats, Danny's post-season exploits are amazing. If they ever had a wing of the Hall of Fame just for post-season stars, Amendola would be a unanimous, first ballot inductee.

Don, as the great poster Bigunreal used to say, the slot receiver is just the modern day version of the old school "possession receiver". Throw in the fact that slot receivers have mostly displaced fullbacks and H-Backs (still largely white positions), it's pretty clear they have an easier road to the NFL than the bigger, faster outside receivers like Nelson, Hogan, Hartline, Decker, Thielen and others that are competing for "black jobs" and can make black CB's look silly.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is Beasley and Amendola types should appreciate what they have and not b1tch and moan about targets and cash, because a lot of bigger, faster and better whites had their careers shortened (Hartline) or never even got a chance to play. Also, it just will not help them. To the best of my knowledge, Danny never has complained. No front office executive likes a malcontent. And they certainly are not going to take it from a 5'8" white receiver. Beasley isn't going to play forever, anyway, and he's already played a lot more than most star white wide receivers coming out of college since 2009 (his generation of players) could ever dream of.

Don, just a quick side note: Beasley has a son with a light skinned black woman (his wife?). I wonder if he feels that gives him "cover" to be more outspoken and controversial, similar to today's black diva receivers he idolizes? Or does the black wife show he's got an extra bit of "whigger" in him, meaning he doesn't know any better?

Yep, this is in the NYPost. But don't look for the Jets to get him. That'd be the smart thing to do and the Jets are not known for doing smart things.

TI, I hope things can change a bit with the Jets. Gase was more fair-minded in Denver (Decker, Welker, ect.) and Miami with the offensive personnel he controlled than most coaches. He sought out the best players regardless of race -- Amendola, white tight ends and O-Lineman -- and he improved the team a lot. Problem was he couldn't keep his quarterback healthy and a goy like Brock Osweiler is not someone that can deliver in the clutch, even as a backup. So, perhaps things change in NY? Adam Humphries is the type of free agent that could appeal to Gase, as well the Patriots, Vikings and others. He'd likely be a better pick up than Beasley. We'll see. I would love to look forward to watching a Jet game. For me, it hasn't happen for a long time. Perhaps never?

We've seen previous white receivers as free agents sign with a team (we could have told them) that wouldn't use them much. Beasley is probably oblivious to how tenuous his place in the league is.

Underrated market for both Beasley and Humphries as FAs this year. I think both will garner more interest than we think. Someone brought up Hartline, but he was not a true slot WR like these two. Beasley and Humphries may get starting gigs as slots elsewhere, less disruption to "real outside WRs" as Romo would refer to.

Humphries will be the really interesting one to follow. Young, the rare White WR to get some playing time right away, more productive each season and really good in '18, the second best receiver on Tampa after Mike Evans, he's an ideal receiver for teams to bid on. . .

I predict that whatever team a white receiver signs with it will be for below market value. Black players with the same accomplishments would get much more. Look at Adam Thielen.

No doubt. White players more often than not are "bargain buys" that can be plugged in effectively without all the headaches to worry about during the off season.
