Ravens are getting Andrews back, so now we get to see 4 elite tight ends prove their value on Sunday- Kelce, Andrews, LaPorta, and Kittle. That’s possibly the top 4 in the league.

This thread is drifting off topic again. Items about an individual player or team go in the appropriate player or team thread, or alternatively in the conference championship games thread if related to that.

So Lamar Jackson wins the NFL MVP, which isn't much of a surprise.
But Dak Prescott was 2nd, ahead of CMC and Purdy respectively.
I don't see how Dak rates above Purdy. Purdy is in the Super Bowl, and had great QB stats.

The voting is done at the end of the regular season before the playoffs begin and then the results are announced right before the Super Bowl.

Prescott and Jackson both had impressive regular seasons before both failed again miserably in the playoffs. Would have liked to have seen Christian get it but the results don't surprise me.

I’m entirely surprised (maybe I shouldn’t be) that Jackson was 49/50 for a near unanimous winner. He was good, far from great though. He accounted for a grand total of 29 total touchdowns whereas Josh Allen accounted for 44 total touchdowns.

Allen also carried that Bills team whereas I don’t think anyone seriously think Jackson carried the Ravens more than that outstanding defense.

My pick would have been McCafffrey, but since we know this is really a QB award he wasn’t going to win. Purdy, Dak and Allen were all better than Jackson.

Heck, Purdy led the league in most statistical categories for passing.

The biggest robbery, of course, was Garrett getting DPOY. Watt clearly deserved it beating everyone in every statistical category. Max Crosby and Trey Hendrickson also had superior numbers to Garrett. They just were not going to give the award to a White defensive player for the 3rd straight year. Even normies on most comment sections think Watt was robbed.

If Purdy has an outstanding Super Bowl and wins then that is much more gratifying. We all knew Purdy was not going to win MVP no matter how superior his numbers were than Jacksons as he is white.

Agreed, I’d easily put both Watt and Crosby ahead of Garrett.

Hendrickson is more a pass-rush specialist type of end (his teammate Hubbard is excellent against the run) so I notch him below the more well-rounded Watt and Crosby.

Garrett, while a very good player, is a bit overrated. Similar to Aaron Donald. Again, a great player but I don’t think worth if three DPOY awards.

Lamar Jackson being viewed as the MVP is laughable in my opinion. The Ravens had one of the best defenses in the league last year but I never once heard that brought up. If Purdy were on the Ravens and had similar success the accolades would be heaped upon the Ravens defense. I think we can all agree that these awards are skewed by the caste system. Josh Allen was more productive and a catalyst for the Bills success this season.

The NFL is an anti-White corporation / organization. The way they choose to hand out their awards is just a function of that.

CMC is this generations Marshall Faulk and deserved the award.

If you MUST give the MVP to a QB I'd give it to Josh Allen for dragging Buffalo into the playoffs

If this is true you have to wonder if it was mere petulance or if more was involved, such as payoffs.

Jets beat writer Connor Hughes reports there is “validated belief from the Jets” that Mecole Hardman leaked game plans to the Eagles and Chiefs. According to Hughes, “several players” implied Hardman leaked game plans to opponents while he was a member of the Jets. This is rumored to have stemmed from Hardman being “frustrated by his lack of usage.” For now, all of this is nothing more than speculation from players, as nothing has officially been confirmed by Hardman or members of the Eagles or Chiefs. Hardman recently put himself in the crosshairs of tampering speculation when Hardman said he contacted the Chiefs earlier in the season and told them to “come get him,” but he later said he never had talks with the Chiefs before being traded. Whether anything comes from these recent stories is to be determined, but it’s been a busy week for the three-time Super Bowl champ.

Figured this would be an interesting caste study. Here are the teams with the most cap room heading into the offseason and free agency. Let’s keep an eye on how white friendly their roster moves are. I’m guessing most of these teams will be big spenders, throwing way too much $ around on the usual upsiders.

Most Amount Of 2024 Cap Space

TEAMCAP SPACE
Commanders$91.5 million
Patriots$88.5 million
Titans$75.8 million
Bears$75.5 million
Texans$70 million

Now here’s the bottom few. I expect them to cash in on the White Man’s discount in FA and UDFA. They’ll be forced to stretch their resources wisely. Right? Right!?

Least Amount Of 2024 Cap Space

TEAMCAP SPACE
Dolphinsminus-$20.4 million
Chargersminus-$20.2 million
Saintsminus-$17.3 million
Cowboysminus-$10.6 million
Ravensminus-$10 million

The Steelers just can't help themselves. Why would they want an overpriced qb that got old overnight?

The Steelers seem content with delivering Tomlin's .500 season year after year. His race grants him leeway no white coach has ever had, including hall of famers like Andy Reid and the Genius himself. Bringing in Russ is exactly what you would expect from an out of touch defensive coach, kind of like when the Patriots brought in Cam Newton.

Wilson can sign with another team for the '24 season for the league minimum for veterans, around $1 million. Denver is on the hook for the other $39 million or so he's due this year. So Wilson will look first of all for a team that will bring him in to be their starter. Vegas may be the only team that will do that and even that's questionable. The Giants have talked to him as well.

The Steelers have said repeatedly that Kenny Pickett is their starter going into the '24 season but also that there will be competition, whether it's Mason Rudolph, Wilson, Justin Fields, or someone else. So Wilson may sign with Pittsburgh if he thinks he can win the starting job over Pickett, but it will be far from guaranteed. Pickett played great last preseason and then looked bad during the regular season. He needs to look great again in the preseason and then start the season strong, otherwise he'll most likely see his career go the Mitch Trubisky route.

Just saw Patriots are sending Mac Jones to the Jaguars.

Take a promising young white quarterback in need of a fresh start and make him a backup behind one of the premiere young quarterbacks in the league to ensure he doesn’t go to another team and up the starting white quarterback numbers.

Already noted by Leonardfan in the Jags' General thread. There's also an already existing Mac Jones thread in the Patriots forum.

I'm not sure how I feel about this one yet. It's hardly a surprise that the new, apparently ultra-Caste regime in New England jettisoned Jones. But solidifying the QB position in Jax may not be a bad thing if Lawrence gets injured, as he played hurt for part of last season.

Just an insurance policy. Not a bad move by the Jaguars to get a QB with that much experience to back up their franchise QB. I really hope the Patriots just become a completely black team with a black QB.

To add to @Warhawk_46 and his point - Looking at Russell Wilson to the Steelers rumors it is obvious to me that the league wants to do everything to ensure White QBs dwindle. Blacks on youtube are making comments about Sean Payton's treatment of Wilson as "racist" and idiotic Whites just buy into it.

Really hope we don't lol. Good move by the Jaguars, he needed a change of scene his confidence was gone, the coaching and supporting cast for him was awful, but the fact Zappe looked better when he started didn't help him.

It’s a good landing spot for Mac Jones and, should he need to pinch hit for Lawrence he will do well.

I just hate to see white starters become backups and black back-up caliber players take their places.

It goes without saying but I will say it anyways - the amount of money being thrown around in free agency is ridiculous.

My prediction is that Christian Wilkins becomes the new Albert Haynesworth.
