Terrible showing by the packers especially once bulaga went down. Sherrod was a revolving door out there. The packers dline sucks as does their safety play. The signed an old julius peppers and did nothing to address the other ilb position next to to hawk. So many missed tackles, it was beyond pathetic. Ted thompson and his coal black defensive drafts are really catching up with this team, not to mention the neglect of addressing issues at the Te postion. Seattle ran the ball right down their throats and incorporated gimmicky plays on offense that the rest of the league will hopefully become wise to and learn to defend.

The packers should of had 2 ints as well but
managed to mess that up as well. The black dlineman daniels also made a dumb mistake running into the punter.

Lynch for Seattle looked good. Lacy...not so much. 34 yards on 12 carries...not gonna do it.

Lacys stats weren't good, but keep in mind SEA has a great defense. GB didn't look to have a rythm on offense, and there didn't look to be much room to run. His vision is not the best, but he's a good back and worlds better than the aforementioned Richardson. Anyway, GB has much bigger problems than RB.

Hoping for a Eagles-Chargers Super Bowl. Rivers needs to at least make it to a SB and it would be great to see Woodhead get a chance on that stage as a featured runner. Weddle is the 2nd best safety in the NFL, arguably the best. Lissemore and J. Johnson make their defense "white-friendly".

I'm not cheering for the Pats to make the SB because I want Philly to win and I can't stand to see NE lose another SB.

While I too was deeply disappointed in the result of last nights game, credit has to be given where it's due. As an old coach, I still appreciate a well-executed game plan. Seattle was light years ahead of the Packers on that front. The Seachicken offense was in-sync and very sharp. Wilson runs the single-read offense extremely effectively, and the way that they set up their formations and run their various read-option play action sets assure that his one read is almost always open. The offensive line is well-coached and blocks and moves well (I love O-line play), Zach Miller is one of the best all-around TE's in the league as well.
On defense, Seattle had the Pack looking out-of-sorts all night. Rodgers was constantly throwing off of his back foot or short-arming throws and Lacy rarely had anywhere to run. I thought that the read-and-react by the LBs for Seattle was exceptional. Of course, this illustrates a big problem for the Packers. With no short passing game threats posed by the worthless tight ends, RBs and #3 receivers, the opponent's LB corps are going to look fantastic every game. And it will be tough for the Pack to run deep pass plays since the safeties don't have to worry about the underneath stuff.

I'm glad you mentioned this. Everyone is correct in calling out the Green Bay players they have, but for me the goat of the game was Derek Sherrod. This guy has been a huge 1st round bust. He was responsible for 2 key turning points in the game. When GB went for it on 4th down in Seattle territory, Sherrod allowed Bennett to run right past him and sack Rogers. After that, he did the same thing when the Pack were starting out deep in their own territory. Sherrod gets beat like a drum, Rogers strip sacked, ball goes into the end zone, safety Seattle. After the safety, with Seattle getting the ball again in good field position, I felt the game was clearly over at that point.

It seems Bulaga only has a knee sprain. They need him back and healthy. They won't win against good teams with a bum like Sherrod "protecting" Rogers.

yeah, maybe 15. THe problem with having a winning qb is that they will get elite money and it takes away from talent other places, black or white. Although the Pats got some underrated talent, which most White players are. Black people dont sit around and talk about how good Alex Smith is, the media is still talking bad about Smith and he is also good at playing within his means.

Wilson is not going to just sit back and pick defenses apart back in the gun like you would expect a top qb, he has a great running game and makes teams pay with play action. I just dont know how one would automatically think Wilson is a top qb when they see a really good TEAM effort not to mention the fact he didnt crack 200. The problem is, they cant afford to pay all of those guys and pay him top qb money. He is a game manage despite having mobility and a strong arm. Think of it this way, if you could have any qb trade places how would you think they would do? How would WIlson do in their place? top 15 isnt that good when you have qbs that shouldnt even be starting.

LIke footballdad said I notice the great play of the team as a whole, not sitting there thinking Wilson is some top qb orchestrating all of this by himself although I guess that is how it goes, when the team wins the qb gets all the credit and when they lose gets the blame. That will come, if they pay Wilson top money (which they will, he still getting paid scraps) then how many key pieces can they keep and if they leave can they be replaced by cheaper talent? A game manger is defined by someone who has a great defense and running game, WIlson has more than that with the wrinkles they have. I dont think he will be able to step it up to a higher level if they lose talent. That is what i think top 10 is, guys that can rise above average to below average talent. Unfortuanetly they arent going to lose much talent this year unless tons of injury occurs. Probably wont lose much next year although if they do wind up winning it all, its a possibility because teams like the Ravens were gutted after a sb win.

I think the turning point in this one was when Bulaga went down and they had to count on Sherrod to do his job. From that point on, the Seahawks kept beating the line and Rodgers got flustered.

GB should seriously consider upgrading that TE spot.

also it wouldn't hurt to bring in Angerer or somebody. Its painful watching Brad Jones try to play.

I don't know which was worse; watching Burnett try to cover, or watching Clinton-Dix try to tackle. Funny thing though, scanning the GB DWF sites, no outcries for their benching.

on Seattle's side, Cassius Marsh looks like the real deal. Decent game by the TE Miller, who btw is waaay underutilized.

See, I'm going to disagree that Wilson is "extremely overrated". No one is calling him elite, but he's not your typical joke of a black quarterback. He's somewhere in that top 10-15 range of starting QBs in the league and plays well within this system designed for his skill-set.

The problem with some of these white-friendly teams is always the same, their almost coal-black defense. It puts an inordinate amount of pressure on the Mannings, Bradys, and Rodgers' of the world to keep the offense perfectly running because the margin of error against a team like Seattle is thin. In contrast, surrounded by a good defense, running game, and other above average weapons on offense, all Russell Wilson has to do is play within his means. I can't remember the last time an elite white QB was playing with an elite defense that made their job easier. The early 2000 Pats, perhaps?

Exactly. Kapernick has the exact same advantage. Kind of amazing how all the best QBs are white, yet they all have mediocre to awful defenses and run games, yet the two teams with the best defense/run game combos in the league have young non-white QBs.

If I didn't know better, I'd think there was some kind of conspiracy going on. Nahhhh........that's just too crazy

The Packers had a promising linebacker named Frank Zombo, who they signed as an undrafted free agent in 2010.

Zombo played well as a rookie and then he disappeared. I'm not sure what happened but Zombo is white. I don't know where he is now. Maybe he would have been an upgrade over Brad Jones.

2010 is the year the Packers won the Super Bowl. I've heard some say that after that the Packers followed a policy of reducing the number of whites on their team. Maybe Zombo was a victim of this policy.

Pretty sure zombo is on the chiefs now. He did have some injuries in green bay which kept his playing time limited. He is still better than the blacks they have at lb currently. The packers could of drafted max bullough, all he did in college was tackle and spearhead the msu defense. He ran a 4.7 40 and whatever he did for the rose bowl suspension were the reasons he supposedly dropped..but we all know the real reason he was not drafted.

In 2011 Zombo broke his shoulder blade. Set him back a bit but hes back and.has looked good for KC. The pack had chance to draft Borland or Bullough... Put blind faith in the bums on roster instead.

They would do well to make a point of drafting the top 2-3 underrated white players from Wisconsin every year. This year they came through with Abbrederis but missed it with Borland. White players are basically always underrated, so they will most likely be available. And the fan base would love having more Badgers on the roster. In 3-4 years they'd have 10 more quality players on the roster to replace underachieving Africans, and their record would improve accordingly.
