I was sitting here thinking about how I'm always mesmerized by old music videos when I'm in a place like the Hard Rock Cafe or something and then I tried to think of some of my favorite music videos over the years. I stopped watching MTV many years ago so must of the stuff is older. Anyway, I came up with some of my favorites in no particular order:

Here I Go Again - Whitesnake

Crazy - Aerosmith (don't remember how old I was but I thought those two girls were the hottest thing around)

Billy Jean - Michael Jackson (I want tiles in my house that light up when I step on them)

Sabotage - Beastie Boys

Smack My Bitch Up - Prodigy (just saw this recently, this video is awesome)

Call On Me - Eric Prydz (this video needs no explanation)

Just wondering if anybody else had some quality ones I'm overlooking.

Tawney Kitean rolling around on the hood of the Jaguar in the Whitesnake video got my motor running when I was in4th grade...lol

Here's a few more old school videos for the record
that score highly on pure cheesiness:

1. Accept- "Balls to the Wall" (cheesy metal video
frequently played on Beavis and Butthead.)

2. Deion Sanders- "Must be the Money" (you can find
this gem of Deion's on youtube.com)

3. Vanilla Ice- "Ice Ice Baby" (one of the more
embarrassing events in White History.)

4. The Chicago Bears- "The Superbowl Shuffle"
(This one needs no explanation)

5. Snow- "Informer" (You guys remember this one,
right? Its an idiot, White
reggae "artist" from Canada,
that, once again, embarrassed
White people everywhere.)

I can go on for days if anyone else is interested in hearing more...lol. But there better be a free Caste Football t-shirt in it for me. Actually, thats a great idea to promote the site. Don, what do you think? Caste Football t-shirts?

Sabotage by the Beastie Boys is one of the best videos ever. "Infromer" and anything by Vanilla Ice were unintentially hilarious.

Scandal's "Goodbye To You" was a fave of my from back in the old days as was anything by Sheena Easton. Her music left me cold but she was so fine to look at.

I like a lot of the videos from the 1980s. I don't like much rock music from the 60s and 70s, themain few ones from that time some stations have been playing over and over for decades. A lot of 90s music is already long forgotten. But there were a lot of cool 80s songs with cheesy but memorable videos for them. That was the only decade in which MTV wasnt purely destructive of white values.

Robcat, back then, MTV was considered "racist" because it played primarily white pop and rock artists. In the 1990s I'd turn it on and see nothing but black rap. It was like day and night, pun intended.

Yeah, rap took over MTV in the mid-90's when all that East Coast / West Coast drama was going on and the homeboys were shooting each other. Unfortunately, its has only gotten worse since then. The only time I will watch MTV, is when Viva La Bam, The WildBoyz or Jackass is on. Or, at like 2 in the morning, when they actually play rock/metal videos on the Headbangers Ball. But during normal viewing hours, you cannot tell the difference between "MTV" and "BET". Its gotten that bad.

I always liked that A-ha song and video too. The one guy in the group -- they're Norwegian I believe --looks like a young Jaromir Jagr.

This is a little off-subject, but I was channel surfing for a few minutes earlier today and really noticed something for the first time -- just about all black females, at least in the media, now have straight hair, ala white women. Sometimes it's curly or teased a bit, just like white girls do, but it appears they have gone over big time to the "white look" when it comes to their hair. Naturally kinky hairhas gone the way of the typewriter among blacks.

Maybe it's been this way for a while, but I just noticed the extent of it now. I can remember when black women were scorned for trying to "look white" when they straightened their hair. Edited by: Don Wassall

I like "Subterranean" on MTV2 and "The Dive" on FUSE. I guess you could call it "Indie Rock," for lack of a better term. There's a lot of good music (and some videos) out there, but you have to look for them.

FUSE is a great channel. If you're into the same kind of music that I'm into (punk/hardcore/metal/etc.),
then I'm sure you know who Julya is from watching. She hosts some shows on FUSE, and always interviews all the bands. She is so hot, its criminal. She's also Ukranian like me, so that makes her all that much hotter.

Two of my all-time favorites. I don't know if theres a video for it, but Motorhead's "The Game" is another good one. Theres actually a Bill Romanowski highlight video that someone put together on youtube.com, and they used that song. Check it out.

Don't watch much MTV nowadays. Some videos stand out in my memory.

Ministry "Just One Fix" Home made video, cool. Also "N.W.O."

The Cure "Just Like Heaven" Makes me think of how women can make you feel high.

New Order "True Faith" You lose something growing up.

Depeche Mode "Behind the Wheel" It was about the 300th time I heard the song that I realized it was about opiates.

Ramstein "Du Hast" Makes me want to jump into a panzer and crush Poland.

I'm probably not as hardcore as you are, but I do like some "heavier" music. ACDC comes to mind, Slipknot has some really good songs. They have one of the best videos I've ever seen; it's the one where all the people are breaking into the house. Very dark and distubing. But a lot of the music I like is "softer," I guess you could call it.

The Slipknot video you're thinking of, when they're in the house with all the people, is called "Duality". They're still a great band, I don't care how "mainstream" they have become. Another crazy track from them is called "Left Behind" from their "Iowa" album.

As for Julya, yeah man, she's 100% Ukranian. My friend and I saw her at this place called "Lamour" in Brooklyn during a hardcore show. I saw her standing at the bar, talking to some people, and my tongue almost hit the floor. lol. She's even hotter in person, its ridiculous.

Yeh the black girls capitulated to the white beautylook big time. Theres nothing african about their hair and makeup now. They look as much as possible like white girls with darker hair and different facial features. This is done to try to keep black males from going after white girls, but also to try to make themselves more alluring to white men of upward mobility. A lot of black females are cold to white men, but a significant number arent. The number of white male/black female couples would be far more numerous if more white guys were interested in tasting chocolate. Most black girl-whiteman couples take place in middle age, whereas the black male-white girl thing burns hard among teenagers and in the early 20s, but often times it's just an adolescent rebellious phase for the girl that she quickly ends if she has any real drive and ambition for her life and what she wants her family to be.

Robcat,

Black girls can alter their appearance any which way they desire...but the fact remains that they are still black. The vast majority of them are "cold" to White men because they are raised that way. Black families would rather have their daughter marry some loser, ghetto- pimp, than a successful White man solely because they hate Whitey, and they still feel that Whitey is the devil and has committed all these "atrocities" against blacks, and yadda yadda yadda. To sum it up in a nutshell...thats basically the jist of it.

On the other hand, asians and hispanics DON'T follow this way of thinking. I've dated a few hispanics growing up, and the parents of these girls were more than happy to see thier daughter with me, and not some "little latino gangmember wanna-be".

However, there are still a very tiny percentage of black girls out there who date White men exclusively. I worked with a girl who was like that a few years back. She was really light-skinned, hated rap, spoke perfectly, was into the goth/metal music scene, and basically despised anything that was "typically black". If you would have heard her speak, you wouldn't believe it. I used to joke around with her everytime I saw some typical, black, uber-thug type on the street. I'd say, "Hey, Shaolin, look theres a guy for you.". She'd respond with, "Ummm, sorry, I think I'll pass. I don't date crap".lol.

This girl was really cool, and it would have been just plain wrong for me to tell her to F-off just because she was technically black. I would never date her, but I saw no reason why we coudn't be friends. We did share the same interests as far as music and some other things. I used to express my contempt for most blacks all the time around her and she'd either laugh or just agree with me.Edited by: Ground Fighter
