Trubisky is looking great during his rookie season. Looks like the Bears have found themselves a franchise quarterback!

Over his past three games, Trubisky has been the runaway leader in the league when it comes to fantasy football points. Doesn't mean he's been the best IRL QB, but there's no question that with better coaching he's rapidly improving in his second season, much like Jared Goff did last year.

Both Goff and Trubisky were immediately written off as busts by the media and DWF Nation despite being drafted one and two overall respectively. That just shows the ingrained bias against White football players, even quarterbacks.

Last year Trubisky led his team to a 12-5 record and made the pro bowl.

This year the mainstream media has their knives out for him after a mediocre start. They were talking about replacing him even before the Saints game. They even had a name for their anti-Trubisky campaign - Ditch Mitch. He's already been called the worst starting quarterback in the league.

No black quarterback would be treated like this after the season Trubisky had last year. The mainstream media is motivated by anti-white racism and black supremacist beliefs. They want to replace all white quarterbacks with black quarterbacks and take every opportunity to attack the white ones.

It's hard to believe that white fans can't see the obvious racist agenda.

To be fair, the critics are not completely incorrect. Trubisky has taken a step back this year, he's been making poor decisions and his throws are not as they should be. Similar in a way that Baker Mayfield has regressed a bit.

I spent a bit of time watching Trubisky in the Saints game and a couple of things stood out. He seems to be locking in on his primary receiver rather than looking off, going through reads, etc. This is the kind of thing that dooms black quarterbacks, so I was surprised that it was so obvious. Also I find the offensive scheme to be a poor fit. When Nagy was in Kansas City as the OC for Alex Smith, the offense was much more option-based. Trubisky, being a good runner like Smith, should be in this offense. Nagy must think that Mitch is a Joe Flacco-like statue as he doesn't have hardly any of the same elements in this offense. Or it can just be that Andy Reid did most of the heavy lifting with playcalling and offensive scheming while Nagy was in KC. Which makes Nagy an unqualified fraud.

I agree with you on all points. Trubisky has made some bad misses this year and is missing high/not going through progressions. The whole point of hiring Nagy was to develop Trubisky and build an offense around him. In all honesty the play calling is very uninspired as are the players surrounding Trubisky. Nagy does not change up his game plan and has refused to get Shaheen involved in the offense. The offensive line is garbage (4/5th sumo) and they have no run game even though the media hyped up Cohen quite a bit and Montgomery was some sort of draft day steal according to the "experts".

Well, I agree that Trubisky has not played particularly well this year and played better last year. Nevertheless the mainstream media has gone completely overboard, very early in his career, to tear him down. Their reaction is out of proportion to the situation. Heck, they called him a bust early in his rookie season.

Then came a good second season and they quieted down. But now, at the first opportunity, they're back to tearing him down again.

They would never treat a black quarterback this way. Instead they would ignore anything negative about him. They would treat him with kid gloves and not say anything.

Trubisky is still a relatively inexperienced quarterback. Because of the caste system he was only allowed to start one year in college and it's only his third year in the pros. It's too soon to write him off yet many members of the mainstream media have already done so.

Yes, this post is entirely correct. A white player has a much shorter leash than a similar "diverse" player. As noted often here on CF, it's just another salvo in the war against whites.

That said, I always try to be objective in my criticism of players, both black and white. Just because Mitch is white doesn't mean I will praise his play even if it is bad, which is has been. I however think that there is more than meets the eye here. Unlike the heroes of the media and DWFs, Trubiski really does have "upside". I honestly think that the offensive scheme is the primary catalyst for his play this year. Imagine a player like Deshaun Watson in the current Bears offense. Would he do well? Probably not. Does it sound ridiculous to have a player like Watson in this offense? Absolutely. And the same goes for Mitch Trubisky.

I agree with the main points above. Trubisky is not playing well but maybe it's Nagy who should be taking the heat. He was supposed to be an offensive guru and innovator, but has been anything but that. When I watch the Bears' offense I keep waiting to see the wonderful improvements Nagy was supposed to make, but it's turned out to be a cure for insomnia instead this season. Trubisky showed great running ability his first two years, including elusiveness, but this season he's a statue (in the quickly closing pocket). His decline, and that of the entire offense, has been unexpected and given Mitch's improvement last year the critics should be aiming their ammo at the Rodent calling the shots.

I'll go on the record and say I am/was a big Trubisky guy during his time at UNC and advocated for him to be a 1st round pick. He had to endure a racial apprenticeship behind an avg black quarterback and only started for one year. He was drafted and played his first year under the terrible John Fox.

Don as you stated why aren't the Bears taking advantage of his athleticism. Perhaps due to his injury but prior to his injury they did not allow him to run either. Meanwhile black quarterbacks are utilizing TEs and throwing short balls to wide open WRs in the flats and considered "revolutionary".

Seems like Trusbisky is getting the Alex Smith treatment.

I don’t see the parallels between Smith and Trubisky.

Good thing to note is that the Chicago media and Bears fans are really beginning to sour on Matt Naggy. Most people understand that Mitch's ability to play the quarterback position is limited at best! That being said, Matt Naggy appears to be inept at establishing a run game as he only ran 7 times with their prized 3rd round selection David Montgomery. His job is probably secure for at least another year but if he comes out next week and his offense doesn't improve, the fans are going to start calling for his head and I say good riddance. Since his arrival, the bears offense has become less innovative, and the locker has become much darker.

I do if you consider that Smith was also fast and highly athletic but the coaches rarely designed plays to highlight those attributes either. Smith and Trubisky should both be exciting duel threat QBs but it seems like the CS will only allow blacks to occupy that space.

His last year in KC they had him running quite a bit, 60 on the year, plus many Russell Wilson-like rollout plays where he threw deep. Which is why it's also surprising that Nagy, who was the OC that year, has not done the same with Trubisky.

Mitch Trubisky, who was a pro-bowler last year continues to be attacked. One of the main themes of the attacks is that he was drafted ahead of Mahomes and Watson because Mahomes and Watson are black. This is what the blacks are saying.

Of course, no GM is going to risk his high paying job to draft a lesser player because he's white. These accusations are baseless.

Fake accusations of racism are rampant in our society. This is yet another one.

You can see these fake accusations of racism in the comments below this video.

I was looking for old scouting reports on Trubisky and I found some interesting observations on a Browns blog, Dawgtalkers. I read here and there in the blog but in general comments were very favorable.

Now it seems that everyone "knew" that Trubisky was terrible and everyone "knew" the Bears should have taken Mahomes or Watson over Trubisky and everyone "knows" that the Bears only took Trubisky over Mahomes and Watson because he's white and they're black.

Revisionist history.

I looked at the third years of two quarterbacks. One is Mitch Trubisky, who has played 13 games so far. The other, Drew Brees, played 11 games his third year. I took their statistics and adjusted them as if they had played 16 games. Here are the results.

Trubisky 63,4 completion pct./ 3414 yds/ 6.2 Y/A/ 21 TDs/ 12 INTs/ 84.2 rating
Brees 57.6 completion pct./ 3066 yds/ 5.9 Y/A/ 16 TDs/ 22 INTs/ 67.5 rating

Trubisky is better than Brees was in his third year. Brees, of course, developed into a Hall of Fame quarterback.

The point is that the critics are far too early in calling Trubisky a bust and calling for his replacement. He still could develop.

extra point, great details here, although I would say he WILL continue to get better if he is allowed to play his style of game.

This is all true, but when Brees was struggling early in his career, he was also lambasted in the press and called a bust, too short, weak arm, you name it. Fortunately the coaches didn't give up on him.

I believe Brees 3rd year was before all of the sweeping changes that started in 2005/2006 the rules committee implemented to make it a more passer friendly league.

Trubisky is a good qb, he needs to clean up some mechanics. Get him an o-Line, run game, utilize TEs and let him run the ball some to take advantage of his athleticism.

Just read on a Bears blog, Windy City Gridiron, about a post season press conference by Bears GM Ryan Pace and Head Coach Matt Nagy. I read a lot of the comments. A lot of the comments are attacking white quarterbacks. They attacked Mitch Trubisky, Phillip Rivers, and Trevor Lawrence. Anyone who attacks Rivers and Lawrence is an idiot and/or has a racial agenda. Many commenters want Cam Newton, a grossly overrated quarterback. I'm sure the commenters were DWFs and blacks.

Lurkers, pay attention. There's a pattern here. It's simple. Whites will be attacked and blacks praised. If you watch sports media coverage that's almost always the case.

Trubisky has been named the week 1 starter! I am rooting hard for this kid as he has all the talent in the world and became public enemy number one last year - drawing the ire of Booger McFarland and the rest of the caste media. Nagy's offense was pretty bad last year - he's in over his head as a coach. By all accounts Trubisky has cleaned up his mechanics and improved his accuracy so let's all root for a big season from Mitch.

Trubisky finished 23rd in the traditional quarterback rating and 21st in the QBR, He's easily one of the top 32 quarterbacks in the NFL. And he still has upside.

Yet he signed with Buffalo for not even high end back up money. I think the NFL is drastically undervaluing Trubisky.

The mainstream media did a hatchet job on Trubisky. One of the reasons is that he was drafted ahead of their precious black quarterbacks, Mahomes and Watson. They destroyed his value in the eyes of the NFL. Of course NFL teams are stupid for listening to the MSM.

Here's a list of the salaries of NFL starting quarterbacks.

Trubisky had the 23rd highest quarterback rating . According to this list the number 23 quarterback should be paid in the $8 million range.

The Bills signed Trubisky for $2.5 million. They got a bargain.

Most NFL teams don't know what they're doing. The Bears sure don't.
