Well what about Cunningham knocking him down and outboxing him until Fury knocked him out. That was horrible. Cunningham moved up from cruiserweight and was maybe 210 pounds that fight.
I think he wasn't mentally engaged because once he was knocked down he went into full predator mode and did the same tactics against Cunningham that he did to Wilder in their 2nd and 3rd fights and violently stopped him within a few rounds. Those tactics were negated by the strength of Ngannou who is a colossus who was stronger at the 270 pound weight range.

PS I just heard in an interview that Ngannou was told that he would be ranked by the WBC, if this is true this sets up a big money bout to settle the "controversial fight". Always with boxing follow the money trail and you will get your answer.

PS2 This is from the horse's mouth and Ngannou will be ranked and a rematch with Fury will probably happen at some point...

r. I will never forget when he was losing on the cards to Steve Cunningham who move up from cruiserweight. Cunningham was 205 pounds maybe and beating Fury and even dropped him once. Think about that. This guy is a clown and bum of the highest order. I literally hate him now.
What are you talking about. Ok, so Fury had a few tough rounds early on against Cunningham and got dropped. He then turned the fight around and knocked out Cunningham.in the 7th round. That's all that matters!! Fury’s recuperative powers were admirable that night for his young age. Fury showed good sense by roughing him up and leaning on him. & Cunningham was a top fighter, cruiser champ, and Fury is the only fighter who ever stopped him.

And as for calling him a 'bum' that's just ludicrous and making me think you might be a boxing casual. He had one off night against ngganou for whatever reason. It happens, especially at heavyweight it happens a lot. Fury has already proven he's a great fighter, and a future hall of famer.

I guarantee you I know ten times more about boxing than you. I am done with fury as he is a loud mouth who can’t even train properly and goes into fights grossly out of shape. Not to mention his cocaine binges. I will support usyk from here on out.

I find fury hard to enjoy a lot of the time too. But He did give us 2 nice wars against Wilder. He looked very sloppy against Ngannou, no doubt. Perhaps he will return to better form in the next fight.

What a cringe, childish unecessary comment, and I highly doubt that, but frankly who cares .
I assumed you might be a casual cause you barely post on here and you're laughably calling Fury a bum after one off night!

I like both Usyk and Fury, and will also suppport Usyk if they fight. But I know it's probably gonna be a closer to his best Fury we see in that fight, it should be very competitive. Every time Fury has an off night he rebounds stronger and he fights to the level of his opponent, think for example the Wallin fight then the exceptional, perfect performance in Wilder 2

It was actually your post that was childish and something of which a ten year old was capable of writing. I have watched almost every fury fight and he is bad for the sport snd doesn’t represent whites well. Do you see his tnb which we all can’t stand here? A 270 pound guy getting knocked down by a 200 pound cruiserweight? Smfh. Getting paid 50 million to fight a guy who has never boxed professionally and he can’t even get himself in half decent shape. How many times has he done cocaine, talked crazy about retirement etc. he is an embarrassment

This is too bad. I looked through the "smilies" three times and couldn't find a popcorn-eating one in the bunch.

wilder hits very hard. I will give him that but he is a horrible boxer. Also fury was stronger than wilder so he was leaning and pushing him around a lot. With the steroid freak he was weaker. He should have boxed to a clear 10 point decision but unfortunately it was much closer.

Turning the page on the mini posting war today and tonight has a few cards with White champions and fringe contenders fighting. Joe Cordina who is an action star fights a fairly obscure Edward Vazquez and is a 10 to 1 betting favorite so he should win this one but as we saw last week this is on paper.

In the chief support Adrian Curiel takes on Sivenathi Nontshinga for the IBF 108 pound title. I know nothing about either fighter but the talk out of the South African's camp is he wants to unify titles at 108 but doesn't every champion?

Curiel is another obscure Mexican fighter but because he hasn't been featured on US network tv doesn't mean he can't box at the world level.

Note this Hearn card is short with no prospect fights as it's a VIP affair for Monacan royalty and connected VIP's. Back in the 70's Monaco was similar to Saudi Arabia and Monzon had quite a few title fights at the casino event center.

During US prime time Don King and Top Rank have cards with King's card featuring the return of Johnathan Guidry and the clash for the vacant cruiserweight belt by Noel Mikaelian vs the former champion Junior Makabu. The last time I saw Makabu he was getting his head handed to him by Badou Jack in a 12 round stoppage loss. The Armenian national is a solid 2 to 1 betting favorite over the limited but durable African.

Top rank has Australian Joe Goodall vs Efe Ajagba. I forgot about the Australian as he pulled over a minor upset vs Shaw the last time he fought on a Top Rank card. Ajagba is the solid 6 to 1 betting favorite but Goodall if he can take the Nigerians power is a live dog as he beat the Nigerian in the amateurs at the Commonwealth games. I'm assuming he out boxed the robotic Ajagba.

Note Curiel looks White in this photo https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/213025-adrian-curiel-gato but in the weigh in photos he looked more Mestizo looking so who knows if he is a White Mexican.

Updating the Monaco card and Adrian Curiel had a one shot homerun ko over the South African champion. Lessons weren't learned from last week as the South African talked about everything but his Mexican opponent and paid the price with the walk off ko loss in the 2nd round. Mexico has another world champion and he appears to be a White man...

In the main event it was another tough battle for Joe Cordina and he appeared to nip his tough Mesitzo opponent but the Mexican-American saw otherwise. The scoring was a majority decision 116-112 twice and 114-114. I had the fight roughly 115-113 for the Welsh national. These two should come again and end any dispute to this decision.

Updating the Saturday evening cards and on the Don King promoted card, Johnathan Guidry destroyed a 43 year old novice boxer who built up a 19 and 0 paper record in a year and half all the while well sporting man boobs and a spare tire. It's hard to tell if Guidry has improved his punching or this guy was that bad. He could be tested with another King fighter but it won't be Trevor Bryan as he was violently knocked out by Cassius Chaney with a one shot home run punch similar to Guidry's punch. Maybe Chaney and Guidry could tangle for a higher WBA ranking.

In the King promoted main event Noel Mikaelian made easy work of the fading Junior Makabu. The German based ethnic Armenian dominated the fading former champion and violently stopped him in the 3rd round.

The cruiserweight division is a division in flux but rumors of unification bouts are being floated with Hearn using the DAZN as the paymaster. In this division if the money is right fights get made. Hopefully Mikaelian isn't shut out of any big money bouts because of King's greed as in the past he has been a hinderance for his fighters fighting out of his increasingly shrinking promotional bubble.

In the ESPN main event Joe Goodall was stopped by Ajaba in the 4th round but he never went down and was in mild trouble as he was repeatedly wobbled but firing back and rolling with shots. The referee Tony Weeks has had too many fights with these type of stoppages the Nevada Athletic Commission should suspend his license and force him to explain his reasoning for stopping this fight. It's almost like he is refereeing novice amateur fights not ranked contenders or champions with the quick hooks he has shown in this fight and other recent bouts.

I shouldn’t have gone that far but I’m sorry I just can’t support all white athletes unconditionally.Fury displays tnb, is a known coke head and drunk, as well as a steroid cheat. Usyk is a real one. Why would I support fury any longer when he can’t even come into fights in semi decent shape? It is beyond embarrassing. Plus his constant nonsense about retiring does nothing to help our cause.

NP WA, Fury is a very polarizing figure with his mouth and lack of desire at times. This week is a slow week for White fighters really only prospects are fighting. Today on DAZN Tyson Fury's half brother Roman the full brother of Tommy Fury fought on a Wasserman card against a stumble bum with a now 1-6-1 record. It's hard to judge what Fury has fighting a British day laborer type. His sibling had the cheat code to making millions fighting high profile opponents with skills of a stumble bum. Time will tell if he goes that route or tries to do the traditional boxing route.

Sonny Conto fights another obscure fighter on a Philly club show promoted by Marshall Kaufmann. This fight will be on PPV only with an obscure provider I don't expect to see this one. I may just report the results but judging from the face off and the weight of the opponent I expect another blowout win for Conto. He still has a boyish build but Conto skills wise is probably ready for tougher opposition.

Hearn has a British card with White prospects on it and I could report on that if I make time to see it during the Saturday afternoon time range.

Also in sad and dangerous news James Toney and Donovan Razor Ruddock are fighting an exhibition against each other. Ruddock is near 60 years old and sports a boiler and Toney who while younger has been slurring badly for 15 years but since this is in Jamaica there doesn't seem to be any commission oversight both fighters could get more health issues than any meager purse could ever pay for....https://fightnews.com/ruddock-toney-weights-from-jamaica/154755

But what Fury HAS ALREADY DONE TO HELP "OUR" CAUSE can't be forgotten so yes, Fury deserves respect but of course we can't be fans of everyone.

And if he wants to talk retirement then so what, he's earned that in my opinion.

Updating this weekends action and featherweight Nick Ball is in against fading veteran Isaac Dogboe. Ball who is naturally larger and is fresher than Dogboe who has been fading since he was beaten up twice by Navarrete in two 122 pound title fights should win this one the question in my mind is whether the win will be dominant or not.

DAZN has a card with Marcelo Coceres as the B side against peaking contender Diego Pacheco. I don't expect much of this one as the Argentine has had a spotty record since he lost his world title challenge to Saunders a few years ago.

Peacock has a Boxxer card where a few Euro fighters are B side opponents against British star fighters on the surface these fights are probably mismatches but I may watch these fights as my gray market cable deal has Sky so I may comment on them.

Probably the biggest news this week was the huge December card that has a multitude of stars fighting including Joshua vs Wallin and Wilder vs Parker.

The card is so deep that Bivol and Ring Magazine Cruiserweight Champion Opetaia are making defenses on the card in mid card fights. Rumors are swirling that Joshua and Wilder could meet if they win but Wallin IMO could upset the apple cart if he can take the power of Joshua.

Finally Fury and Usyk had their fight launching press conference for February but no under card fights were announced but rumors are the undercard will be as loaded as the December card. https://fightnews.com/dec-23-mega-card-confirmed/154989

Parker probably will get knocked out he is simply too hittable, Wallin may have a chance here. Was not surprised at Usyk-Fury being pushed back after the Ngannou debacle.

The best strategy for Parker would be get inside on Wilder early and rumble to the body and throw tight short punches to the head as Wilder early has had spectacular ko's when he is fresh but as the fight extends his technique unravels and at times he looks like a novice amateur fighter later in fights. If Wilder can't extend his arms his punching power is nullified(to a point).

Updating the fights today and Ball won a wide decision over the fading Dogboe as I predicted it was a one sided affair and Ball is now the mandatory for the WBC 126 pound strap.

As I stated on the Boxxer card both Euro white B side opponents were knocked out with the Frenchman getting flattened in the 2nd round by Riakporhe.

Updating a few fights from yesterday Nathan Heaney out hustled Denzel Bentley for the British title. I expected a B side treatment for Heaney as Bentley looked semi useful at the world level when he took the frightful beating from the Eurasian unified champion but Heaney proved he is at minimum a fringe world level fighter. Haney earned a majority decision but it was probably unanimous if he wasn't the B side fighter.

Also last night Marcelo Coceres was in a fire fight with hyped prospect/contender Diego Pacheco and was ko'd as feared with a violentl uppercut in the 9th. From what I saw of the fight he made Pacheco work for the win but I only saw bits of the fight as my main television was focused on the US college football game on at the time.

Enjoyed the stacked Mannchester card last night

3 white vs black match ups and 3 wins showing the superiority

Nick Ball beat Isaac Dogboe (WBC final eliminator)
Nathan Heaney beat Denzel Bentley (to win the British title)
Harry Scarrf beat Ekow Essuman (to win the British title)

Heaney and Scarrf were big underdogs with the bookmakers

Liam Davies was also impressive winning the European title against a decent italian.

I think Ball and Davies have a good chance of becoming world champions soon

It's a slow weekend this week for White contenders as I don't think one is fighting this week but in England on two cards White prospects are fighting(one card is nearly over as of this typing as it's a Friday card). On the Cameron vs Taylor rematch Gary Cully is on the comeback trail after getting caught by fully blooded Indian or Cholo Jose Felix. It will be interesting to see if he is shell shocked by this loss or too timid from the knockout which came out of the blue in a fight he was dominating but taking chances against the tough Mexican national.

On Saturday evening PBC probably has the last card broadcast on Showtime Sports on PPV for the foreseeable future with Benevidez vs Andrade. As far as can tell the PPV bouts don't have a White contender but I think Vito Mielnicki Jr fights on a Youtube bout against another soft non descript opponent. As far as I can tell his opponent is a veteran who has also fought Xander Zayas and lost a wide decision so Vito could use this fight against the veteran as a measuring stick against Zayas.

I could comment on various fights if I watch these fights over the next day and half.

PS I just saw the full weigh in photos and Eurasian Shohjahon Ergashev is fighting Afro Rican Subriel Matias for the IBF 140 pound crown in a mid card bout on the Benevidez vs Andrade card and Sergey Lipinets is in a comeback fight on the Youtube undercard of the deep PPV. The PPV suddenly has more juice than I thought...

Watched the Vito Mielnicki fight. His opponent, Salazar, who is trained by Freddie Roach, didn't show much as Vito knocked him down 3 times and finished him in the 1st round.

Vito's jab looked quite good tonight and this win will likely encourage his camp as Salazar went the distance with Xander Zayas. Of note, Vito had Charlo's trainer working his corner.

Paddy Donovan looked really good tonight ^ Definitely one to watch at 147
I saw the ending of this fight but not the lead up to the knockout. I forgot to mention Donovan in my preview he looks like the best Irish prospect on essentially the Cameron vs Taylor II prospect card. He's very smooth and pinpoint with his punches and has ring savvy and cunning. Time will tell if he he can show this dominance against world level opponents or even European/British level opponents.

I saw the Thomas Carty fight and he showed the gym work wasn't translating in the fight as he refused to hit a smaller defensive man in the body when he wouldn't give him his head by dodging and leaning out of range. Carty resembled a free swinger in baseball who constantly whiffed on the curveball but wouldn't shorten his swing to time the off speed pitch. In the end he got knockout when his opponent tired badly in the last round and had to stand and fight and was inevitably blasted out. He still needs more seasoning before he fights any live opponent or even a very good spoiler type.

Gary Cully looked decent when he wasn't tagged but showed his chin vulnerability and I found out why as he is 6'2" fighting at 135 pounds, how does he squeeze into this division?

Similarly to Fundora he will always be vulnerable to a counter punch out of the blue with dimensions like that but he wasn't babied in this fight as his opponent was a decent domestic level opponent who only lost to world level Wood in a previous loss.

I missed all of the White fighters on the Benevidez vs Andrade card but I saw a report that Vito destroyed an opponent who went the distance with Zayas, so this is a good sign.

I also saw that Sergey Lipinets loss a wide decision to decent Afro-Latino Michel Rivera. I know that Lipinets was overmatched at 147 giving away too much size to a typical 147 pound contender but losing at 140 pounds at his age is a sign that the fight game is passing him by. It's probably time for him to retire but who knows if he will. If he does soldier on I don't see being a factor in the 140 pound division again though.

In probably the best fight on paper for the night Uzbek national Shohjahon Ergashev was walked down and stopped via 6th round tko. For about a round and a half he outworked the Afro-Rican champion but after that is was largely one way traffic as Matias largely thrashed the Eurasian and Ergashev quit on his stool.

Before this fight I tabbed him as future champion but when a guy quits on his stool that's usually a bad sign for his zest for combat when things aren't going his way. He has a good team around him with Sugar Hill Steward as the head trainer but the old saying of taking a mule to water and the mule not wanting to drink might apply when it comes to his fighting heart.

As for the main event "The Monster" Benevidez will be a problem for Alvarez when they eventually fight as he walked down the tricky Andrade and Andrade was rescued by his corner after being dropped and subsequently thrashed for close to 6 rounds.

PS I saw the Lipinets fight on Monday and I was too harsh in my criticism of his skills. He didn't fade out in the fight and was surging late and with a 12 round fight with the momentum he had he would have probably won a tight decision or salvaged a draw. There is more fight in him.

He needs to matched right but I fear he is only viewed as B side material by the PBC braintrust and will be matched with prospects or boxer types like Rivera, which is the worst style for a shorter older fighter.

the boxing schedule for this weekend. Some fights are scheduled for tonight.

Yes Nathan Gorman was on the comeback trail earlier today but showed up obese at nearly 300 pounds and was outhustled by an obscure Eastern European tweener type. Gorman needs to take a look in the mirror and decide what he wants out of his career as it's circling the drain as any viable domestic money opponent.

Tomorrow Ryan Garcia has a comeback fight against White Mexican Oscar Duarte on DAZN and Mick Conlan has a comeback fight against Jordan Gill. We also have Canadian Ryan Rozicki in a WBC cruiserweight eliminator against an obscure Nigerian opponent. Supposedly this is a PPV in Canada but I haven't seen this listed anywhere on mainstream cable outlets.

No Whites involved on this card but this shows you how the mighty have fallen as in the past Don King would have had the ear of the Saudi royals and he would have been staging the super card that is set to happen in 3 weeks but now has a card on Youtube for free with no fighters who are remotely world class fighting on this card.

Andrade had to be one of the most overhyped boxers in recent times. Every black supremacist commentator was acting like he would be big trouble for Canelo but here we see him perform much worse then Plant did, who wasn't nearly as highly regarded. Glad to see him get exposed as not being all that.
