He's demanding the proposed fight with Chad Dawson be in Ward's hometown of Oakland. He's also demanding Dawson come down to 168 where he hasn't fought since his early 20s, so he'll be weight-drained.

Also, the referees were supposed to be from neutral countries according to the contract they signed, yet Ward had the shady California referee Jack Reiss for his fight with Kessler.

Sauerland briefly protested, and then caved in. They should have stood their ground and demanded the rules they agreed to in the contract be abided by.

Thanks Dempsyfire and The Hock. I figured it would end this way, especially after Green was KO'd by old man Johnson a year or so ago. Now Kessler will have to wait for the winner of the Dawson and Ward fight. He should take a stay busy fight like this while he waits.

Just finished viewing the replay.Mikkel looked sensational at 175 lbs. He displayed excellent quickness and left jab. His vicious left hook goes without say. His KO of Green maybe the the KO of the year!

Does anyone else think that any of the jokes ala overrated Negroes Cloud and Dawson and the Asian guy from Kazakhstan should grow some balls and go in Denmark to fight, where Kessler is a super star and fills stadiums? IMO he stupidly left Denmark to fight in Oakland, he was the champ and he would fill a way bigger Arena in Denmark than Ward did in Oakland, plus he would have emasculated Ward in Copenhagen, sure thing.

I think Kessler should never leave Denmark again until he retires, he's 33, a 4 time and 2 division world champ, the biggest name in LH if he decides to stay there. I am sure that 99,9% of Americans, ignore the existence of Cloud and Dawson, while Kessler is a mega star in Denmark.

Am i the only one in here who sees Kessler cleaning up the LHW division with the right management and promoting, considering how weak the competition in this division has been in the last 2-3 years?

The fact that it's the only division from middleweight up to HW, where 4 out of 5 top guys being Negroes, that speaks volumes how weak it must be. I wonder why E.Euros have not invaded that division yet.

The best of all East Europeans at 175 is Sergey Kovalev. I hope he's not affected by the death of his tough Russian opponent Simakov in December.

What a performance from the Dane and thats got to be KO of the Year so far. Perfect hook from Mikkel to knock Allan Green spark out.

A-level performance from Kessler, and this win puts him right back at the top of the mix of things at 168 and 175.

Kessler destroys Magee by TKO in the 3rd. We need to see Kessler in the ring with Ward again. I know he can beat him. He needs to study a lot of tape on Ward and be more prepared this time.

Saw the fight yesterday and Kessler looked absolutely amazing. That straight right hand to the body was lethal. Brian Magee went 10 and 11 rounds with Froch and Bute respectively, so to see Magee absolutely destroyed in 3 to Mikkel makes Mikkel look very good.

Mikkel now has 2 tremendous knockout wins in a row. First that KO of the Year over Allan Green, and now this solid assault KO over Magee. The TV commentators noted that Kessler is now a 4 time World Champion, what an honour, his career has truly been great and dare I say he almost seems to be reaching his best form now.

Great stuff from Mikkel!

Doctor should have looked at Magee after round two and maybe stopped it as something in his midsection was clearly hurt. He was actually running away!

Kessler needs to make that next step. He failed in his two biggest fights - Calzaghe and Ward. Plus he takes lots of time between fights (often due to injury). Let's hope this is his first step on the journey to beating Ward (unless Pavlik, Bute or Froch beats him first).
