Fun Fact:
Mike Trout and former Angel's All-Star Tim Salmon are the only players to play for same organization, win ROY and be named after a fish.
Mike Trout homered on his birthday again last night. The seventh time in nine games he has homered on his birthday
It won't downgrade his career, however it will likely affect some of the all time records he could break. He was ahead of Ricky Hendersons' all time runs scored record, which would've been really difficult to break considering Henderson played for 25 years. Trout currently has 917 career runs scored and would have most certainly went over 1,000 this year, can stay on pace with RH if he can score at least 23 more runs this season. He's on track for about 26 more. When you look at all the time some players lost to military service I don't think this will be too much of a downgrade on his career records.
Mike Trout career Homerun number 300. Despite missing, what amounts to a complete season, 162 games, due to injuries and of course the shortened 2020 season, he remains ahead of Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds Homerun pace.
I know there's a long way to go, but I would love to see Trout at least challenge Aarons'/Bonds homerun record some day.
Amazing accomplishment for Trout! 300 Club is nothing to scoff at.
Yes. I was looking forward to Trout scoring his 1,000 career run this season as well, however that won't happen because of the 60 game schedule. He could get to 950 runs and stay ahead of Rickey Henderson's pace. Henderson had 940 runs scored after his age 28 season. Trout scored 4 runs tonight and now has scored 936 career runs.
He needs to have an injury free, strike free, pandemic free 10-12 more years, but that's asking a lot.

Just think we are at the "usual" one quarter mark in a regular baseball schedule and Mike has 15 dingers. That works out to 60 home runs in a 162 game schedule.
He was on a great pace last year too before he got shut down with injuries. Now with this joke of a mini donut schedule Mike is getting short changed once again. All a bit frustrating. Not to mention the Angels just played two 7 inning games because of this new doubleheader rule which additionally limits Trout's at bats.
MLB has turned into a laughing stock. With these little league like rules they put in place the whole thing reeks of some summer softball league. Guys awarded second base in extra inning games. Are you kidding me? This once great American sport has been reduced to child's play. Sickening.
Trout is actually on pace for 65 home runs. He's only played in 37 games, because of the birth of his first child, a son. Nice analysis of what's become of this strange league called the MLB though. Again, I'm not watching any games, but I am keeping track of some of the games current and rising stars. I'm hoping that these shortened seasons for Trout will in some way prolong his career and he will approach some of these records. His best shots as of now are the WAR record, runs scored and home runs. There are probably other records he can approach as well.
The greatness of Mike Trout is showing once again in the first 41 games of this shortened season. Although Trout has only played in 37 games. He is leading the league in runs scored 35, HR's 15, SLG% .676, OPS. 1.002 and IBB 4.
His WAR total of 1.0 has not been up to snuff this season, but he continues to pass HOF's for career WAR. He has past Jim Thome and is now tied with Frank Thomas, who played 19 seasons. 73.8. Next up Reggie Jackson and then Johnny Bench. All of this in what amounts to less than 8 full seasons of play.
WAR stats have now come out and Trout is leading the league at 0.8 through 7 games.Mike Trout showing everyone why he's still the man, has homered in his third straight game!!!
