Lets see. Vick has been on cover of SI three times plus three other times little cover pics as well.6 in all.Yet he is moaning about lack of respect. Oh wow my rear end. Roger Federer wins Wimbledon three times--an event one of the coolest white guys who ever lived attended--Sean Connery---and still no cover. Suggestion to Mr. Vick. Quit whining like a spoiled brat.

Is there a new article out or something recent about Vick's complaining of lack of respect? I'd like to read it.

He was SI's cover boy (yet again) last week, with the article being all about his "lack of respect." Typical Orwellian, up is down, war is peace, media doublespeak.

He get his Respect when he finally lives up to the hype and wins a Superbowl... or maybe when some Ron Mexico wins a Grey cup.

I don't get it - SI, for one, nor how it could be perceived that he gets no respect? I know he doesn't get much respect here on Caste Football, but unless he and his buddies are surfing pro-white sites I doubt that he'd know that or even care.

Can you share some tidbits from the article so I won't have to go out and buy the issue just to end up pissed off after reading it?

Vick has only really played in the NFL for 2
seasons, 2002-2003 and 2004-2005. He has done reasonably well and
is good enough to be a starting quarterback in the NFL . As far
as respect goes, selling more Jersey's to kids than anyone and having a
10 million dollar a year contract sounds like respect to me. No,
it sounds more like worship.

I don't know how many white guys I have seen wearing his jerseys, and for what, the great black hype? What a waste of money.

The Falcons did a awesome marketing move by taking the most overhyped
QB in the history of the game and making their uniforms look really
cool. Plus they have the alternate red jersey which is a good seller. I
would say the overwhelming sales of Vick jerseys is half the hype and
half because they are in all honesty nice looking jerseys. It
angers me more when I see people in Cleveland wearing a Rothelisberger
jersey!

Funny, nobody in Michigan wears Buckeye stuff, probably because OSU grads aren't smart enough to get jobs in Michigan.

There is a large segment of people who live in NE Ohio who aren't
really sports fans, they just like to piss off us diehard Cleveland
fans, so they wear Pittspuke and Michigan crap just to boil our
udders.

Pittspuke

That's a good one! Around these parts the feeling is mutual about Cleveland (The Mistake by the Lake), though the Steelers-Browns rivalry isn't what it was, thanks to the Browns' ineptitude. But Cleveland-Pittsburgh is probably still as bitter a rivalry as exists in pro sports between two cities.

Parts of Ohio belong to Michigan anyway! Ohio ripped off Michigan back in the 1800's, Michigan and Ohio called up the state militia to settle it on the field of battle but the federal government stepped in and bribed Michigan with the Upper Peninsula, and saved the Buckeyes a butt-kicking. We consider Ohio "occupied Michigan".

That story reminds me of a song, part of it goes; "someone got excited, had to call the state militia, i wanna move, hey i need a traveling band, yeah..." I just couldn't help it. I hope some of ya'll know what song that is.

I disagree about the uniforms. I liked the solid black jerseys and the falcon logo sans red trim better.

I think most NFL and college jerseys looked best from the late 1960's to the late 1980's. Everything after that was too far out. Too much trim, and too many stripes and color changes. It makes me dizzy looking at some of these new college jerseys. Even helmets are looking pathetic these days.

I have never worn a replica jersey, but I might if it actually fit me, instead of making me look like a ghetto thug.

Man,we know will have to put up with two Vicks. The media
darling Michael Vick and now his brother is back from his
year suspension at Virginia Tech. They are both very similar
in their playing style. In other words, half the time they
can't hit the side of the ocean when throwing passes.lol.

Vick is so bad, if he throws a pass as hard as he can in space, the ball still won't leave his hands.

He is so inaccurate, he would hit a guy in the chest if he was throwing at the wall beside him.

Marcus seems to be much more scummy than Michael. Haven't heard ANYTHING about Brian Finneran.

I don't plan on watching Vick the younger, so I don't know that much about him, but your right about Brian Finneran.
