Mcnair knows who to go to in cruch time

Say what you will about Steve Mcnair (slow, overrated, etc. etc.) at least he had the good sence to pass to Todd Heap to win the game against San Diego. I saw Heap in motion, with time winding down and was thinking "look out for Heap on this play", and sure enough Mcnair connected on a short pass and Heap took it from there, making sure to get into the end zone with only about 30 seconds left and no Baltimore time outs.

Since the Ravens are 4-0 all the credit will go to McNair. They have beaten the likes of Oakland, the Browns, Tennessee, and now the Chargers. Not exactly stellar competition to say the least.
Right now McNair is the 22nd most productive QB, has a rating of 78, has averaged about 140 yards per game, and has thrown all of 3 touchdowns in 4 games. Smoke and mirrors. The Ravens will be lucky to break even this year, wait and see.
The good news is that Todd Heap, however, will continue to be productive. McNair loves those dink and dunk passes to the TE as he lacks the ability to get the ball down the field. Edited by: Kaptain Poop

The Ravens have a pretty good D, too, although the D has also benefited from poor competition.

McNair will get all the praise for the Ravens wins, while Culpepper will get none of the blame for Dolphin's losses, despite the fact that Miami was a pre-season favorite to make it to the playoffs, largely because of the addition of Culpepper himself.

Friggin' right.If Heap was black,they'd shower him will all sorts of praise,implying none-too-subtly that it was his black "athletic prowess" that he was able to break the two tackles and score like he did,blahblahblaaaaaaaaaaaah.

McNair had a very nice career but he's no Hall of Famer. My prediction -- he won't be elected the first five or so years he's eligible, then the inevitable clamor will begin that this great "leader"with his legendary "toughness" (translation: was constantly injured) deserves to be in the Hall and he'll then get in on a wave of nostalgia and sentimentality, much like Art Monk this year.

I would love to see the suddenly white Ravens, led by the media-labeled "bust" Kyle Boller, make the playoffs over the super-caste Steelers. Boller has never had anything more than mediocre WRs and a sumo-dominated OL.

The Ravens are beginning to play alot of whites on defense (DT, DE, and LB), especially this past season. Also, offensively they have Boller, Heap, and a majority white OL with Ogden finally retired.

I'm very happy McNair is gone...this should have been announced 2 years ago.
