Not even remotely a Conor fan, but lets face it...he talked his way into more than the UFC could ever give him.

He knows he is going to lose, and thatz fine by him. Its really win-win for Mystic Mac. He loses, he lost to an all time great in his first boxing match.

If he wins, its the biggest upset of all time.

I am dropping a prop bet on McGregor getting disqualified by using an illegal move ( calling a kick or a takedown). Mayweather is a pussy, and wil pitter -patter McGregor for 12 rounds, with littl trouble.

Would rather see McGregor-Pacquiao, personally.

in an MMA fight McGregor destroys Mayweather within 2 minutes. If he lands a clean shot in the boxing ring how much does the size of the boxing glove hinder his punching power? I would love to see the negro get KO'd but I doubt it will happen...

Wrestling insiders said that if the Inoki-Clay wrestler-boxer fight had been on the level Inoki would have won in seconds. Even the way it was, with the Black Moslems getting the Yakuza to tell Inoki that they want him on the ground, he caused permanent damage to Clay's legs.

Bizarre side note: Antonio Inoki converted to Mohamedism in 1990 and now calls himself "Muhammad Hussain Inoki".

Yeah, Inoki would have flipped Clay over like a turtle and plucked his limbs off.

One of the best things about this is Conner talking smack to Mayweather non-stop. He will push the envelope hard. Hopefully, he will have some success in the ring. It will be entertaining watching a White man talk sh*t without an ounce of fear toward a brash black skilled fighter.

The thing about Floyd (and I hate him with a passion), is his legacy is all he cares about. That is why he ducked Pacquiao for years, until Manny was past his prime. He fought great fighters on the downslope of their careers (Oscar, Mosley, Pacquiao) or too early in the case of Canelo (way too early IMHO), because he wanted to retire with that big o in the L-Column.

That's how he will fight with Conor. He will run, he will not engage (Conor could easily put him to sleep). Re-watch how he fought Manny, and that's a good indicator of what he'll do to Conor. This is just a chance for Mac to make money, and he is going to make a whole lot of it. Boxing is different than MMA, and as good as Conor's movement in a cage is, it's nothing compared to the thousands laps Mayweather has run around the ring to avoidengaging his opponent.

Watching Floyd fight is like watching Dancing with the Stars: Pillow Fight Edition. I hate him, and I wish Loma had about 15 more pounds on him, because he would put a clinic on Floyd. Still, Conor's odds are down to -500 at the moment, but will go back over -1K as we get closer to fight time. It might be worth dropping a little on it, because he does have 3 things going for him; he's a lot younger, a lot bigger, and he has sickening power. He could feasibly land a shot and put Floyd out, but I don't see it.

However, should Mac not get flustered, and shock the world, it would be the greatest moment in combat sports history. Bar none!

It is a fake fight in a fake venue on a fake stage with fake competitiveness for a fake sport. The only reason this event is taking place is to fleece the fack out of as many fools as possible. Obviously Connor would demolish Weasel in a real fight and obviously Connor can't box with one of the best defensive boxers of his era.

I am in no shape to say if McGregor is going to have a chance here. I have only seen him fight once and really am not a fan of MMA. I just saw some stupid promotional video showing McGregor hitting a heavy bag. To be dead honest if this thing is rigged or not he has a snowballs chance in hell of winning this thing. I am sure his MMA skills are great and though even FM may be 40 this is like a PeeWee football team scoring a touchdown against the 86' Bears defense. His boxing skills are piss I mean super piss poor. He has no chance. NO CHANCE unless FM has a heart attack or something similar.

Floyd is broke. Must have already burned through the 110ish million in take home from the PAC man fight

So basically this farcical fight was agreed to solely to keep Floyd afloat for another 18 months

http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/...bout-tax-petition-asks-irs-temporary-reprieve
http://es.pn/2v3m4hh
He probably is cash poor and not technically broke but we have seen this picture before. After this farce is over and tallied he will have probably another pay day that he can squeeze out in a 8 figure range and then the pickings will be slim for his lifestyle and he will be broke or cash poor X years down the line.

They say 50 percent of lottery winners go broke from mismanagement of money, among Blacks it's probably closer to 90 percent.

The fact that McGregor is left handed might help him in this fight.

I'd say he has a puncher's chance.

I'd love to see him knock "Prettymouth Gayweather" plumb out in the 1st round. I don't personally care for Conner & his leftist BS. However, I cannot stand Gayweather & always pull for the White athlete.

Marciano's 49-0 record has a curse on it (ask Larry Holmes). Conor is a younger, bigger man with an unorthodox style. Floyd's boxing skills will be negated because Conor can simply walk through him. Going into the ring, Conor will probably weigh 170. Floyd's team better do a good job of taping his breakable little hands, because Conor has a big noggin.

We live in strange times, and strange things are happening. :)

There will be a catchweight set, and believe that Connor will be closer to 155 than 170. Mayweather is more concerned about his legacy than any fighter past or present has ever been.

Let's face it, Mayweather has no shortage of suitors and the Mac fight is Mayweather's to lose. Mac doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as Canelo, Pacquiao, DeLaHoya, Hatton or Mosely did.

I have spent time in both the squared circle and a cage. When you train your hands and nothing but your hands, you hit considerably harder than when you train for everything.

Will I root for Conor (I guess I have to), but I am firmly in the Anti-Conor camp.

Will I root for Floyd...F*** no. The fact is, Conor is in for 12 rounds of track and field, and a pillow fisted yawnfest.

Exactly. Conner will come into the ring at 170+lbs. None on May's pot shots will hurt him. But he must attack May's body relentlessly.

Mayweather will be heavily favored and that's understandable. After all they're playing his game in his back yard.

Nevertheless, if I had money to bet (I don't)* I'd take the long odds and put something down on McGregor. It seems to me a good gamble. It's an unusual situation and Mayweather is old so there's that element of chance.

* A cardinal rule of gambling is you never bet money you can't afford to lose.

Try a prop bet, like Conor getting disqualifed for headkicking or taking Floyd down.

Mayweather is frustrating, and McGregor is just doing this for a major, major payday.

Connor just said Mayweather can't even read -so funny!

About the "fight": Connor needs to do many things, but these work when a puncher faces a boxer:

1) step on Mayweather's feet to take away his mobility

2) put lead foot between Mayweather's feet to trip him and take away his mobility

3) hold and punch at the same time to take away Mayweather's mobility and create openings to land into

4) bang Mayweather's knees during clinches by knee to knee contact (an MMA skill)

5) "miss" punches and "accidentally" land elbows and palms (MMA fighters are actually very good at this)

6) crack Mayweather's neck during clinches when Mayweather puts himself in a lock (a snap for an MMA fighter).

Much of these rough tactics are standard in MMA fights so, if this event is real, Connor should naturally do them and make Mayweather's "win" very painful.

How any sane person would pay to watch this freak show just shows how brainwashed this world is. This could be the stupidest fight in history. Any person who thinks McGregor has even a .0001 percent chance of winning this fight has mental retardation. This is boxing not MMA.

Jason Whitlock discussing the racial element to this fight...

In the last 10 years, Mayweather has had 16 fights (all victories) and scored a paltry 3 KO's. Most likely, he'll wear McGregor out, fight defensively, pick his shots, avoid taking too much damage, and win a boring UD. He's the best in the world at this tactic.

McGregor's conditioning is worrisome. His first performance against Nate Diaz was a prime example of him "gassing" quickly. He has a chance, but not a very good one. It would be a great victory for our cause to see him smash Floyd, but it's unlikely.

McGregor and Mayweather had a raucous, profanity-riddled press conference yesterday and in my entire life I've never seen a white man acting so brashly in a public forum. Hard to believe that the vitriolic insults he was flinging at Floyd didnt trigger liberals to accuse him of a "hate crime" or racism. It was actually quite strange to see a black person treated so poorly...

Mayweather clearly didn't like being talked to that way. More whites should refuse to back down to blacks, the way McGregor refused to back down.

McGregor may be trying to get under Mayweather's skin and goad him into getting into a slugfest. In that case McGregor would have a better chance than he would otherwise.

Just think how great it would be if McGregor won.

Yep, just a moneymaking stunt. McGregor's going to lose but get his massive payday, which I don't fault him for at all, any of us would do the same in his position. If they're going to do something like this they may as well make it WWE style, I'm sure there are millions of fans, myself included, who would enjoy watching McGregor smack Mayweather with a folding chair.

This type of talk is quite common in n pro wrestling. In MMA Chael Sonnnen has talked this smack too. This is the best example of this ever(IMO).....

Thrashen, you posted too soon about the dumb f*ck DWFs and the vile media. They are in a feeding frenzy right now, calling Conner racist for calling Floyd a "boy" and calling fighters in a fictional Apollo Creed gym a bunch of monkeys. You knew it would happen with an Alpha male like Conner ridiculing Monkey May. LOL
