Best highlight I could find.
My 2 cents: like so often, the loser disregarded fundamentals. He had is hands low almost throughout. He tried to avoid most punches with head movement and footwork. Just like his loss to Diaz. In my (limited) boxing experience, you by definition cannot dodge faster than the opponent can punch, you certainly cannot dodge everything. There are times when you must block. Its very popular/ fashionable to try and avoid all shots with low hands like Ali / RJJ, but eventually some will land. If you are gassed, this is doubly true.
Im 6 ft 5 and when i spar against shorter pressure fighters, sometimes i just have to simplify and block. I cant dodge and run forever. So I dont. Simplify. Cover up and counter sometimes. If you try to foresee all punches and dodge them (like counting cards in blackjack), you will eventually miscalculate and get caught (unless youre a rain man ).
I realise I sound like a broken record. But to quote my favorite boxer Tommy Morrison "fundamentals will take you a long way".
In retrospect, a decent fight and Im glad the whole "looks at me I be dayum rich" promo garbage is over.
