I think he deserves his own thread.

He now has a story about the time he went into Lambeau (as a Rookie) and came out the victor! Amazing!

Matt Ryan will likely top 1,000 yards passing in this week's game. Best of luck to you, Matt! May it be the first thousand yards of many more thousands to come.

Matt Ryan has his first 300+ yard passing performance!

He was clutch, as he was trying to save his team from special teams and defensive lapses. He willed them to their 4th win of the season -- which matched their win total of last season. Magical!

Wow, Matt Ryan getting big praise on his ESPN player profile!

News: Ryan completed 22-of-30 passes for 301 yards -- his first-career 300 yard passing game -- and one touchdown in Sunday's victory over the Bears.
Spin: Ryan proved to the football world Sunday that he has the football smarts and skills to be as good as any quarterback in the NFL. Unfortunately, the Falcons are still having a lot of trouble getting the ball into the endzone, especially from within the 20-yard line. Ryan had a touchdown pass ripped away following an offensive penalty, and had it not been for a few crucial drops, the Falcons could have easily blown out the Bears instead of finishing with a thrilling 22-20 victory. It's safe to say that Ryan has arrived, but the rest of his supporting cast needs to catch up in order for him to be named among the NFL's elite quarterbacks.

Falcons' now 3 wins away from guaranteeing a .500 season.

I'm really looking forward to the two Matt Ryan/Drew Brees battles. These are important games that should be exciting.

The next TD pass for Drew will be the 150th of his career! 5 more excellent seasons and Drew will be a lock for the HOF.

Matt Ryan could have thrown for 450 yards and 5 TD's against Oakland (no exaggeration). Boy, would I have loved to see the facial expressions on Oakland's DWF's if that had occurred...

Don's correct, Matt Ryan may be the best rookie QB ever. The craziest part is, he's making turd WRs like Roddie White look like stars.

Even the media wimps are admitting how well Ryan is playing for the Vick-less Falcons.

Compare Ryan to Russell. Both #1 picks, both had similar teams in terms of talent. Ryan is awesome in his first season, while Russell throws for 30 yards in his second season. Almost ANY person who's ever played QB in high school could do that.

Falcons QB Ryan outpacing Vick's stats

Rookie wins again, is set to surpass jailed predecessor in passing yards, completion percentage and QB rating.

Detroit News wire services

It's unlikely Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan will ever generate as much attention as his predecessor, Michael Vick, but he has so far proven to be a more-than-capable replacement.

In his rookie season, Ryan is on pace to surpass Vick's career highs in passing yards (3,394 to 2,936), completion percentage (59.6 to 56.4) and quarterback rating (85.4 to 81.6). And Ryan is on pace for 10 wins, a total Vick reached once in six seasons. Ryan has been better at home -- with a 4-0 record, 902 passing yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions -- than on the road.

He had two touchdown passes Sunday for the Falcons (6-3), who won for the fourth time in five games.

Overall, I think this guy realizes that Matt Ryan is doing what a QB is supposed to do.

I'm not so sure that Atlanta is going to get 10 wins, but they have a good chance of reaching 9 wins.

If Ryan stays healthy, he will be a lock for 3,000 yards passing.

Matt Ryan is already nearing 5,000 career passing yards, and he's only 24! Stay healthy, brother.

BTW, Sam Baker is the REAL deal.

Matt Ryan is getting closer to becoming an elite QB.

If Matt Ryan didn't win IN Philly, everybody would be saying that Atlanta was a "fake 6-1 team".. but Matty Ice didn't let that 'conversation' get started as he delivered a dominating performance to lead Atlanta to a convincing road-win.

With this win, Atlanta now has a great opportunity to finish the season at 12-4. With their schedule (several tough games remaining), that would be a very good record.

He ll be a top 5 QB this season. His only weakness is physical strength. As he gets stronger, he'll be like 2007 Tom Brady.

I heard Matt Ryan only needs to win 4 games next year to beat Roethlisberger's record for 60 wins in first 6 seasons as a QB.

Matt Ryan was lights out in 2016, putting together a monster season: 373/574 for 4,944 yards and a phenomenal 38 TD passes to just 7 interceptions. He's a strong MVP candidate along with Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers and is now firmly established as one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL.

Matty Ice's NFC Championship performance (27-38, 392, 4 TDs) should help cement him as both a universally classified "elite" QB and MVP this season. :)

Matt Ryan's abilities will be showcased in the upcoming Super Bowl.

While the FNM fawns over black mediocrities such as Jameis Winston, Ryan has not gotten the credit he deserves. Now I think he will.

Happy for Matty Ice! Great OL and RB. Top 10 Defense. Should be a good year getting away from Atlanta's dysfunction.
