Whoever the source was that said "you know what I'm saying" was probably black.
This is just another reason why statistics are often the most important barometer in judging a player's potential; without public knowledge of Jones' fantastic 40 yard time, he would have been pidgeon-holed as "slow" from the outset. Now, they have to invent Casteian terms like "slow twitch" to counteract scientific reality.

The media's hate for Matt Jones continues. The fact that he's white, has freakish athletic ability, and now has very minor criminal history all work against him. We all knew he would be compared to real criminals like "Crapman" Jones.

That article is BS. He has always looked like he's gliding as he runs away from people. At 6'6" he's not supposed to run like Welker. What would Michael Jordan look like running a pass pattern? I suppose he wasn't a "fast twitch" athlete.
Matt had a good interview on Mad Dog radio. They asked him why he wasn't signed last year considering how well he played in 2008. They thought maybe he was holding out for too much money. He said he got no offers. He also said he's looking forward to playing with a QB that throws the ball down the field.

These articles are getting more and more hateful towards white athletes. It's almost impossible for a white athlete at one of the caste positions to get any respect today. There are some exceptions like John Lynch and Wes Welker but more often that not they get trashed in newspapers. Just take a look at how Sabby Piscitelli is being treated down in Tampa. I can't tell you the number of articles I've read online calling for his head.

I would also like to point out the obvious fact that Matt Jones cannot possibly run a 4.37 40 without having fantastic 10 and 20 yard splits. His 40 is .3 faster than most glorified black receivers who run 4.6 and have horrible hands, yet they are "fast twitch." In fact, the doublethink doesn't even need to apply to black receivers because Welker runs a 4.6 and is considered quick (although I know his cutting ability is off the charts), therefore the critics are completely ignoring logic altogher. Not to mention Jones is a DEEP THREAT not a SLOT RECEIVER. He is very comparable to Randy Moss. In fact, besides the fact that he would make a low 10.x 100m sprinter Jones has an insane vertical and is 6'6" tall. Anybody see his monster slam when he played D1 BASKETBALL at Arkansas? He's literally a far less criminal and more hard-working (not in the caste sense) equivalent to Randy Moss.....except he's white.

Jones would beat 90% of "fast twitched" affletes in a race from any distance on the football field. Matt is obviously not going to have the quick cuts of a smaller slot WR and neither would any other #1 or #2 WR if they put them in the slot. Even a "freak" afflete like Moss would look slow and uncoordinated compared to Welker if he played in the slot...

But that is the problem. Matt Jones is white so he has to play in the slot. I will say I was surprised that a few fans on the Bengals forums viewed him as an outside receiver, but a lot of them referred to him as a slot receiver. Of course a high percentage of these twits want to bring in Terrell Owens as if having Owens and Chad Johnson on the same team would not be an complete disaster.
As for Jones having a poor workout it is hard to tell what is accurate. After all, his 40 yard dash time hasn't been taken seriously since his first season. Whatever his football speed might be, if he duplicated his numbers from his last season played he would likely end up the number two WR on the Bengals.

When Matt was coming out of college, learning to be a WR, the same "suggestion" was made then, too, that he should be a TE. He said, paraphrased, "I run a 4.37 now, why should I put on a bunch of weight and be a 4.57 guy?". He is, and should stay, a deep-threat WR. I still think he should also take snaps at QB, at the very least as a wildcat guy. Pat White has nothing on Matt Jones. Now, if he "relinquishes" and goes to TE, but doesn't "sumo" out, can you imagine afflete linebackers trying to cover a 4.4 tight end?? Hahahahahaha! Edited by: FootballDad

Look on the bright side: Maybe he'll be used in the passing game like Vernon Davis is. Davis runs a 4.38 and is used as a deep and intermediate receiving threat quite a bit, but is a little shorter and stockier for blocking. I think they might make Jones put on 10 or 15 lbs. to play TE and it might slow his 40 by 0.1 seconds. Hey, at least he'll be a serious nuisance for a safety or LB to cover, they won't have a chance! And he should have a 1,000 yards season before long!

Hey ToughJ, as you know, that's besides the point. Sure, Matt would make an AWESOME TE, but that's a relatively "white friendly" position. It's okay to stick Matt there, so he won't take a job from a bruva. Slot receiver is also a spot to stick "whitey", but Jones doesn't fit the measurables for that, so TE it is. We need to break the 1-2 receiver caste lock, and Jones is perfect for the job. With Anthony Gonzales coming back next year for the Colts, that would be two white boys in those positions.
You'd be very surprised how many people actually consider Anthony Gonzales to be a non-white. The majority of people do not know that white people can also be Latinos. In fact, many of my friends believe both Spain and Portugal to consist if non-whites also. I wonder of the average person or DWF considers Christiano Rinaldo white? I know many black boxers don't even consider the Klitschkos white, lol. But black people don't count because you would expect that type of nonsense from an 85 IQ.Edited by: StarWars
I went on Youtube to view Matt's highlights. Man, I forgot what an awsome athelet he was. I also viewed three of his court videos. The first two he looked bad, like a person who had a narcotics problem. The 3rd, night and day. He looked great and read to move in a positive direction. I hope he realizes that this is his last chance at NFL glory.
I will look forward in following Matt's career with the Bengals in 2010.
On a side note, I have always rooted for whites since I was a child. Later in life when some DWF or friend observed this he said I was racists. I tried to explain it from my point of view. Some got it some didn't and continued their misguided ways of being DWF or emasculated white.
When I found this site I felt finally some proud whites think like I do and never swallowed the BS the MSM attempts to jam down our throats. I look forward everyday to view what posters think, share, uncover or observe regarding mistreatment of white athelets and whites in general. I have learned a great deal of the plot of a certain tribe and its white interloopers to disparge and marginalize white greatness.
I would like to thank all posters here on their research, humor, scholar and reasoning as well as Don Wassall's vision and committment to this site and movement. There are several posters who I would like to point out who have taught me alot, DWID, Dixie, ToughJR, Jack Lambert, 44, White Athelet 33, Parody, Thrashen, Jimmy C, Guest301,Lost, Football Dad, Sports Historian, Johnnyboy, Maple Leaf(what happened to him?),KP, White Is Right, Peanutlane, White lighting, Tom Iron and others who I can't recall at this moment. By the way Goodell is a sober DWF,but DWF nevertheless, and with that, I lay down my 1000th post!
