Marco Huck

Huck throws nice combinations but he needs to improve his jab. He lets guys get inside on him too much. I felt that he had Alofabi hurt several times and should have tried to finish him.

According to boxrec Huck's opponent for March 13 will be "The Swamp Donkey" Adam Richards 23-2(15).

Another good fight featuring two white fighters. At least some whites are getting title shots now instead of just the affletes. Easy win for Captain Huck though,

From Fightnews:

WBO cruiserweight champion Marco "Kapt'n"Â￾ Huck (28-1, 21 KOs) scored an exciting third round TKO over Adam "Swamp Donkey"Â￾ Richards (23-3, 15 KOs) on Saturday night at the Max Schmeling Halle in Berlin. Huck was in command from the beginning, but the aggressive Richards made a good fight out of it. Huck finally put Richards on the canvas in round three and referee Marc Nelson waved it off after Huck's violent follow up assault. Time was 2:30.

He landed a big elbow on Richards in the final flurry. Ouch! He would've won anyway, of course, and I like the guy and wanted him to win. But I'd rather not see that. It looked intentional.

WBO cruiserweight champion Marco "Kapt'n"Â￾ Huck (28-1, 21 KOs) will take on former heavyweight contender Brian "The Beast"Â￾ Minto (34-3, 21 KOs) on May 1 in Oldenburg, Germany. Minto, who has been ranked as the #5 cruiserweight by the WBO, is dropping down after campaigning his entire career as a smaller heavyweight. In his last bout, despite a valiant effort, Minto was outgunned by Cris Arreola, who outweighed him by 45 pounds. Huck is coming off a third round KO of Adam "Swamp Donkey"Â￾ Richards.

Wow - Huck sure is keeping busy!

This will be a very entertaining fight between two ring warriors!

WBO cruiserweight champion Marco "Kapt'n"Â￾ Huck (28-1, 21 KOs) scored a ninth roynd TKO over former heavyweight contender Brian Minto (34-3, 21 KOs) on Saturday night at the Weser-Ems-Halle in Oldenburg, Germany. The slimmed down Minto pressed the action as usual, but Huck landed most of the clean shots. A good exchange between the fighters to end round two. Huck dropped Minto with a big right hand in round three. Minto was down another time in the round, but that was ruled a slip by referee Robert Byrd. Huck dropped Minto again in round five after a furious exchange, but there was no quit in Minto, although he went to the wrong corner at the end of the round. The pace slowed as the bout progressed, although the pattern of Minto pressuring Huck landing the better shots. Minto was decked again in the ninth and the bout was stopped in Minto's corner between rounds. The win gets a measure of revenge against Minto for Minto's 2006 career-ending win over German icon Axel Schulz, who was in attendance. Schulz and Huck had been in contact by webcam leading up to the fight. Also on hand was German heavyweight Luan Krasniqi, who beat Minto in 2007.

Marco Huck is now scheduled to fight Matt "Too Smooth" Godfrey on August 21 in Germany.

Godfrey was originally supposed to fight Cunningham for the vacant title but instead Ross took his place. This should be an easy fight for Marco.

Godfrey-Huck coming up this Saturday.

Godfrey is of mixed Indian and Negro heritage, like Virgil Hill.

Huck looks like he can take Godrey out early. The only thing is that Godfrey threw more punches and probably landed more the first round.
