Wisconsin is ice cold and Colgate is looking good. Refreshing to hear Colgate HC Matt Lengel model his program after Wisconsin.

Colgate guard Tucker Richardson looks to be matching up very well with Wisconsin’s first-team All-American Johnny Davis. Richardson looks to be a very athletic 6-foot-5 and has made Davis VERY uncomfortable on the offensive end (3-11 shooting), thus far. the same is true on the other end, as well, with Richardson struggling to score (1-7 shooting) on Davis. Richardson has been more effective on the glass, however.

“weird,” how such a clearly talented player (in Richardson) could have received so little National recognition ...

meanwhile, Wisconsin has done a poor job overall of taking advantage of their size in the post. Wahl has been effective, but has received limited touches down low. Colgate seems to be able to get in the lane at will, but they’ve rushed their shots too often (worried about getting them blocked?) and haven’t scored enough with those opportunities.

the second half will be interesting. who will impose their will on their opponent?

Colgate looks quite formidable tonight. Matt Langel is a great coach. At some point, soon a bigger school is going to offer him a promotion.

Joey Hauser led Michigan State with 27 points
this happens seemingly every year. a Lone White has a career night in the Tourney to help an otherwise hapless (and hopelessly-black) favorite knock off a very-White underdog.

good game for Hauser; bad game for our tribe.

Surely the game of his career, and yet another instance of a very black team's sole white player performing heroics to defeat a white-friendly team during March Madness.
that’s what i said. great minds think alike. LOL

Tucker Richardson is GOING OFF to start the second half! he’s already hit 4 threes, and the Badgers have switched Davis off him.

Good game for Hauser though. Big time confidence boost for him heading into Duke matchup.

credit where it is due: Davis got a couple of junk buckets to go in, and he got hot. ever since, he’s been a force, especially the final 5:00 of the game. Wahl has been impressive throughout for the Badgers defensively, as Wisconsin has completely disrupted Colgate’s offense.

Colgate battled, but they went cold and it cost them.

The old Colgate commercials of 9 out 10 dentists recommend Colgate pops in my mind when I see this team in NCAA tournament. Wisconsin had a bit too much size and athleticism for Colgate and that was the difference.

Hopefully Wisconsin can have a deep run in the tournament.

Wisconsin matches up well with Iowa State. If things go as I expect. Big time matchup with Auburn in Sweet 16. BTW Tyler Wahl was terrific in the 2nd half after a slow start. When he signed to Wisconsin I envisioned him more as a SF in San Dekker mold. He's outgrown that and is a true PF. He's got good feet and athleticism so he's a mismatch for most bigs. Above average defender, jumper needs work.

Colgate's hot 3pt shooting had me worried! I was pumped for Richardson though! One of his 3s was from wayyyy downtown 25ft away!

UNC's Brady Manek was on another level today with 26 points (announcer said he had that 1979 Bill Walton/ red hair head band style) ; but @ 7:56 in the game was EJECTED for Flagrant Foul....Baylor then went on a 30 -13 w Manek gone ....

Just saw your post as was typing Northwinds

Was glad to see primadonna #2 seed Kentucky get eliminated by #15 St Peter's

Baylor probably would have pulled it off if Mayer hadn’t rolled his ankle and then fouled out shortly after.
That was a BS call on Manek!
