I believe Boxrec had Andre Ward as the number 1 super middleweight in the world until this fight. They now have Bute at 1 and Ward at 2.

No, he's been ranked n°1 for a while and Carl Froch who was n°2 gave his place to Ward (N°3 then) after the final 6 semi finals, not that his performance against Abraham was more impressive than Froch's...

Ring Magazine though used to have Bute ranked #1 but a couple of months ago, they put Ward instead.

He will be going against the allmighty negro so everything is ok!

Guys, i really hope Lucian makes a statement this weekend. He may be our most talented boxer and one of the best in Boxing today. Lots of people have been bashing him, not only colored ones but British DWF as well. Bute needs to silence the critics. It's high time he faced someone like Johnson though, not because he ducked anybody but because he couldn't get the opposition he needed to get the credits he deserves. Whatever happens happens, war Bute !

I see Bute easily disposing of Johnson with a TKO in the 7 thrue 9 rounds. No way will Johnson be able to see Bute's blistering punches coming. Especially the sneeky left uppercut. Game over in said rounds.

I agree that Bute will win but probably by UD and not by knockout. Glen Johnson is very durable and has only been KO'd once in his career.

Westside, did you happen to see the Froch-Johnson fight in June? I was just looking at boxrec and Frochy only won by MD. Being that the fight was in the US I suspect it was an attempt to screw Frochy because one judge had him winning by 4 points and the other by 6. The mysterious third judge had the fight 114-114.

Frochy easliy won their fight. That judge was probably negro or a White fighter hating Jew/liberal white who hates himself. Frochy was the clear winner. and even Johnson, acknowledged it. Johnson to be fair is a great fighter for his age and had a great career. He is a respectable black man and I have nothing bad to say about him. He is so much more entertaining to watch that Bore-nard. There is no way that Bute loses this fight.

WA 33, funny I believe Bore-nard KO'd Johnson in his prime at 160 lbs approx 15 years ago.

The judge who scored it 114-114 was actually Japanese. I read a couple of articles just now and it looks like Froch won the fight convincingly. At least two judges were honest.

He was stopped on his feet while not throwing anything, he didn't go down in that fight (did he ever ?).

If Bute knocks him down and stops him legitimately, i guess that would be from bodyshots because Johnson keeps a very tight guard but he may also have to loosen it to protect the body.

Bute has the tools to stop anyone.

The only danger I see is Bute wearing himself out trying to knock out Johnson early. Otherwise probably UD 12, maybe a late stoppage with Johnson still there but taking too many punches.

This should be showcase victory for one of my fav fighters currently. He is too good, fast, powerful, athletic and smart to lose to rugged Johnson.

I perdict that Bute will be the second person to KO Johnson tonight. I expect that wicked left upper cut to do the trick. Great night of boxing ahead.

from fightnews:

IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (30-0, 24 KOs) scored a dominant twelve round unanimous decision over 42-year-old Glen “The Road Warrior” Johnson (51-16-2, 35 KOs) on Saturday night at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City.

Johnson was never able to solve the style of the southpaw champion, although he did end Bute’s string of six straight KOs.

Scores were 119-109, 120-108, 120-108.

I just saw the replay. Bute is a STAR! He controlled a top five contender with ease. Bute pretty much dominated every round with a consumate professional in Johnson.

Now, the only thing left for him is to face the the winner of the Super Six tournament. At this point I see Bute beating Frochy or Ward with relative ease, as long the fight is not in Sacramento, CA. Vegas would be nuetral; but anything less would be a fix in play.

Couple of disappointing fight last night though. Sebastian Demers lost to negro Allan Green. Mike Marrone also lost to Guillermo Jones though we pretty much expected him to. Let's see what kind of soft cupcake the boxing gangsters can fix Jones up with for his next title defense.

Demers got robbed, the channel had him ahead by one point (and giving a generous 10-10 final round for the black boxer), he hurt Green a few times. And still a judge scored it 100-90 for Green...
Green has no future at 168lbs, he may move up or down in weight like Miranda and even then he'll be irrelevant.

Chakhiev VS Guillermo Jones, that's the fight i want to see at Cruiser but unlikely to happen.

Since winning the title 3 years and 1 month ago, Jones has defended his title twice. The first defense was against Valery Brudov and yesterday against Marrone was the second. Brudov is a legit fighter but giving Jones a defense against Marrone is an embarrassment. This guy is obviously being protected.

BTW, Glen Johnson claims he "won" the fight last night. Some of thee negro boxers are completely out of their mind. If it's a close fight or even a semi-close fight by all means claim you won the fight if you feel you got robbed but claiming that after last nights fight is ludicrous.

Some bruthas on Fightnews are claiming Lucian is a fake. According to them his win against Johnson means nothing even though Johnson was competitive against plenty of the so called best such as Chad Dawson. Better yet they claim Bute ducked Jean Pascal.
