You have to wonder that even if a team like USC would have given him a scholarship, would he ever have played or been allowed to stay at running back?Brandon Han******* is a very good full-back for the Trojans but would also be a damn good running back.He is built like Arnold Schwarzaneger.I'm serious,he is one of the most muscular guys and looks like he should be a bodybuilder. They make him block for Bush and White. They would have probably done the same thing to Kyle Bell if he had went there.Maybe it's a blessing he plays for Col. State.

Yeah, I think it is better for some guys to end up at schools that will play them at their position, rather than going to a possibly "higher visibility" school and playing a stereotypical, "Caste-System approved" role, where he would still receive little publicity. I think Kyle Bell doing what he's doing at Colorado State is more powerful than is he was a starting fullback at USC, Tennessee, LSU, or Michigan. He would never have the opportunity to compete for the rushing title if he were converted to that position.

And of course that's a false dichotomy and goes to show how far away we are from a fair situation for white athletes. Obviously you're right, but it perfectly illustrates the problem.

It's also sad that he would probably be in a better position to have a decent career in the NFL as a FB from USC than a star RB from Colorado State. And even if he gets the rushing title, no one will care since he's from a small school and a supposedly weak conference. Edited by: JD074

Though Bell blew away Lendale's numbers and was bigger and faster than Lendale, he was not recruited by USC - only mountain west schools seemed to have any interest.

That perfectly illustrates the problem, too.

I disagree slightly. If Bell wins the rushing title and stays healthy, they will have to give him at least a quick look.I think that Bell will need to finish in the top 5 in rushing for the next 2 or 3 years to be seriously considered. He has the talent and the team to go with it.Let's hope he can make it happen. It will be alot harder next season with J.Holland and D.Anderson both graduating. With a young qb and a inexperienced receiving corp, defenses will stack the line even more.

I agree white lightning that Bell needs to have two outstanding years and have a great combine. It's too bad dusche bag Clarett can have a bad combine and it doesn't even matter he still gets drafted. Only in the caste system.

I was very disapointed in Bell and the Rams yesterday against BYU.In a big game they just came out flat and were down 17-0 before you could blink an eye. They did make a modest attempt at a comeback but it was almost like the Utah game. They need to quite getting down big early in games. This also takes the ball out of Bells hands as they need to be pass happy to get back in the game.Bell had 9 rushes for 36 yards. It was by far his poorest game of the year but it wasn't all his fault.D.Anderson had a descent game.I hope they can bounce back next week to keep their hopes alive to win the Mountain West Conference Title this season.Congrats to Byu on a big win.Beck is outstanding!

The game was disappointing to me too, because I wanted to see Kyle score, but you can't always get what you want anyway. They did come out as flat as can be. BYU did what they had to to get the win. Overall, I am neither happy nor upset about the game.

here's an excerpt from a commentary article on the CSU-BYUgame. he had a similar take to mine regarding our man Kyle in the loss...

After two weeks in which Kyle Bell ran over anyone and everyone in his way, why did he only get the ball nine times? And total rushing attempts? Fourteen, if you don't include Justin Holland's scrambling. In the three game home stand, Kyle Bell touched the ball at least 25 times. During that stretch? The Rams went 3-0. Enough said.

That's very true Jimmy.I thought the same thing last weekend even before I read the article.I will tell you one thing,Bell will go hog wild this weekend. No one will be able to stop him.I see him easily rushing for between 150-200+ yards.I'm 100% serious guys.I would put money on it.You heard it here first.Go Rams!

Against Wyoming? There is a good chance I guess. I am sure he will get more carries than he did last week. I was really surprised at the number of times he got the ball. They just didn't have a very good gameplan for BYU, and the play calling left much to be desired.

At least it happened against a majority white team like BYU. K.Bell's got many of good games ahead of him. Edited by: KG2422

Good news, after reading the above link, I noticed that CSU will be televised this week. I checked the ESPN T.V schedule and the CSU vs. Wyoming game will be on ESPN classic at 3pm.

That's great for you satellite guys, but it does nothing for this regular ESPN limited guy.

Kyle Bell had 117 yards rushing today to help the Rams get back on the winning track. He is a work horse.Kyle had to work hard for the yards though because Wyoming was ready for him.It was a good game.Hopefully,Kyle can move back up on the rushing stats this week.

Kyle Bell is now 17th in the nation in rushing. He is averaging 109 yards per game!I hope he continues to lead the Rams.Remember guys,he is only a sophmore. We have alot of good Saturdays to look forward to over the next couple of years. The Rams play this Friday night on national tv again.Hopefully he can go for 150 yards or more with many people watching him for the first time.I would like to see him get up into the top 10 running backs in the nation.Keep it up Kyle!

i just hope that Sonny Lubick will stick with Bell over next season as well and not bench him in favor of some black new hopeful...

Kyle got 95 yards on 30 carries and a TD in a huge win over New Mexico. CSU is one win away from bowl eligibility! It will be so cool seeing a white RB like Kyle starting in a bowl game.

There were a few ominous statements from the ESPN color commentator. He called him a "power back," and said that he was a "straight line runner." He also compared him to a former Colorado State back, I believe it was something McDougle. Anybody remember him? I assume he was a big strong white FB/ RB hybrid who ran guys over.

Both commentators commented much more on his strength than speed. "Wow! Look how strong he is!" when he would barrel through a defender. And when he ran a 25 yard (give or take) TD run, the color guy said "there's the speed people didn't think he had." Well thanks for the compliment, but who doesn't think he's fast, and why?

Could it be that Kyle Bell is slowly slipping into the power back/ straight line/ future-NFL-FB-after-he-puts-on-30-pounds mold right before our eyes...? Hmmm.

His 3.1 yards per carry average in that game isn't going to help him, either, even if we know that the opposing team is set up to stop the run and not the pass.

I think the days of any NFL coach giving a white a real chance at TB are over. Kyle will probably be a FB, no matter what he does the next 2+ years.

The battle for first place in the Mountain West Conf. is on this weekend between TCU and Col.State.Kyle Bell needs to have a big game to take some of the pressure of Justin Holland and David Anderson. This will probably be one of the Rams toughest games to win.TCU is ranked 24th in the nation and has only lost once all year long. They will be ready for a war. This game is crucial for a running back like Kyle Bell to get the respect he deserves. He is going up against a great team.Good luck to him and the rest of the Rams!!
