Great news guys. Kevin Love is going to be a starter for the Western Conference in the 2014 Nba All Star Game. He deserves it and hopefully he can get a few shots with all of the ball hogs out there. I would like to see him go for a reverse dunk or do something fun for the fans. I also hope he is in the three point shooting contest again. That would be cool.

Good stuff WL, from the MVP of the NBA! I'll be out for a few days, hopefully you or the Spaniard or some of our other CF brothers can update the NBA thread over the next couple of days.

Minnesota at Golden State in a caste busting matchup tonight! Should be 5-7 of ours on the court most of the time!

Is Kevin Love sending a message to Lebron. Before Lebron played the Suns, he took off his shirt and did a dunk which was captured on a teammates cell phone. Now Love before he went out and dominated the same Phoenix Suns, goes shirtless and does an even better dunk. Lol. I love it. Then Love when and had 34 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists to beat the Suns. Way to one up LeClown James. Hahaha.:icon_eek:

Thanks wl, enjoyed that post of Kevin Love.

At his current pace of 26 points and 13 rebounds and 4 assists/ game, Love will have his best overall season since 2010/2011 when he led the league in rebounding!

Barring an injury Love will finish the season with over 2,000 points and over 1,000 rebounds and over 300 assists! Really hoping the T'Wolves can make the playoffs so the country can see the best player in the NBA!

Again, Kevin Love finished 1 assist shy of another triple/double. I think that makes 4 or 5 times just this year this has happened. Last night Love went, 19/10/9.

Love did end the season with career highs in points/season, 2010, assists 341, and steals 59.

He led the league in double/doubles with 65! Was 4th in scoring, 26.1 and 3rd in rebounding, 12.5.

Love for his career is just short of 7,000 career points, 6989 and has 4,453 rebounds in what amounts to about 5 NBA seasons. He's been in the league 6 years, but has missed around 80-90 games because of injury.

If he can remain healthy, it looks like he could be a 25,000 point, 15,000 rebound/career player. Only 4 players in NBA history have over 25,000 points and 15,000 rebounds.

Trade rumors are buzzing about Kevin Love.
The Rockets and the Warriors have been mentioned, as well as the Lakers and Celtics.
Honestly I'd hate to see him leave the T'Wolves. But he and David Lee and Andrew Bogut would make a great frontline for the Warriors.

Obviously the best case scenario is to see him remain in Minnesota with a largely white team AND win. Priority one, however, is for him to win. The alpha who dominates a finals game has his closeup on the screen for 30% of the game. That sends a statement.

I have to admit, selfishly, I'd be stoked if he joined the Celtics, my home team. It would give my nephew, a basketball fan, a role model. And Boston fans would love him. But where ever he goes, winning is first, the composition of his teammates (while important) second. This kid has to become the Larry Bird he was born to be.

Very predictable. When a team gets too white purging must begin at all costs. This is a terrible deal for the Timberwolves. Why would a team wave good bye to its franchise player and its fan base to make a deal that is clearly going to make the team miuch worse? Who on Earth would buy Timberwolves season tickets this year? And since Wiggins is a number one overall we will have to pay him Kevin Love money anyway - sooner or later. This stinks. Now Kevin love will be relegated to holding Lebron James jock strap. The new Chris Bosh. Great move Kevin you frickin idiot.

Kapt, could be the case. But there is also the possibility that Love outscores Lebron (or contributes equally) while both figure centrally into the offense/team. It's not the best case scenario (obviously), however it could do a TON to raise Love's profile internationally and go a long way toward dispelling a notion of white inferiority in b-ball.

I'll tell you, the powers that be, including those who are just desperate to sell basketball tickets, want Love to succeed here. So he won't lack for support. The cultural marxists that run the show have been desperate for a legitimate reprisal of "Lethal Weapon" (the black/white, feel good buddy movie) to promote the myth of multiculturalism working out. Love & Lebron, contributing equally and high-fiving their way to the championship is their wet dream and surpasses even the respectful Bird/Magic rivalry.

Team chemistry may not work and Lebron could blow it by listening to his bruthas in the league chirping about how he is holding the jock strap of a white guy (if Love starts lighting it up, as he should), but if Lebrun sticks to the goal of winning championships, Love could do very well in Cleveland.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing (i.e. Keeping the absurd lie of racial harmony alive through the metaphor of sports)? It's a mixed bag. White guy shows he's awesome, America keeps watching a black sport that shows Love's the rare exception and elevates blacks to an exalted and deeply detrimental cultural status (and this would have been the case too if a mostly white Timberwolves started kicking ass…unless other teams started becoming whiter too). Don't know if the revolution will start in sports. If so, I'd look at Ukrainian Boxing or German Soccer first and b-ball last. Though for this reason, sometimes its a fun distraction to see a white man beat these punks at their own game.

To be sure they alternate, between fantasy buddy-buddy equality and demoralizing, "rub-your-face-in-it" black supremacy (increasingly the norm) but something tells me all this bad press Israel is getting (despite its incredible Public Relations resources), puts certain people in a more generous mindset toward their only (former?) useful friend in the world. The American White Man. That and, again, it obviously is an improvement on a product and will sell tickets, keeping their big, dumb buddy happy, distracted and paying taxes.

I'm happy with this trade. It will be "LeBron's team", but I believe Love will still get 25+ points and 12+ rebounds per game, but on a playoff team. Hopefully Rubio and Pekovic step up their games in Minnesota. Rubio can actually benefit from a wingman like Wiggins, whose main attribute is running the floor and dunking.

Yes sir, Its trades like this that take away my patience to argue with idiots that say things like "these owners, and coaches just care about winning, making money, and selling tickets". Thats just such BS that you have to be willingly ignorant to buy it. These scumbags care about ONE thing, and thats "diversity".

Now even if Love leads the NBA in scoring, rebounds, and blocks it will just be credited to LeBron.

Cant you just hear it now? "The mere presence of the great king James sure has made Kevin Loves stats improve."

Worst team he could possible go to. He will get zero credit for wins. Trust me. It's all about Lebron. The clown who has only won two out of five nba championships yet the world crowns him the greatest bball player ever. What a joke!

Love should have went to Chicago or Goldenstate. I'm sick to my stomach.

It's astonishing that people get worked up about an 85+% black league.

Look on the bright side, at least one in five white bar sluts under 25 will actually know who Kevin Love is now and that some rare white guys actually can "ball." Whether he's second fiddle to "The King" or not. After all, "we all be second fiddle to da King" in the insane fantasy world of the Lame Stream Media.

Otherwise these chicks would have reasonably assumed that all the fat slobs on the barstools watching basketball games exclusively worshiped black men. And they are impressionable.

If you are going to worry about these things, Lebron's "coattails" are a much more visible stage for Love than a 500 team in a basketball backwater. Hey, we all wanted the Timberwolves to go "300" as well but we all knew there was a window. And the Timberwolves did not get their **** together. Whadya going to do? Yeah Love is a sell out. He's a professional basketball player. He's not playing to get into heaven (though he does seem serious about the hall of fame and therefore not just bling).

And it is still a sport. If Love outplays/out leads Lebron, and Lebron wants to take his ball home cuz he's not having fun anymore people will notice. The biggest Microscope in the league is now on these two athletes in a direct side by side comparison. And that is where you want this kid Love, under the microscope. If Love keeps putting up his numbers, I think it will be a legitimate argument to who the better player is. Who gives a **** what some idiot sportscaster w/ a hard on for affletes says?

Although I've not paid much attention to the NBA since the 1st round of the playoffs were over, I agree with Gibbon somewhat here.

Love going to Cleveland will give him instant exposure even though it's well, Cleveland, because of Lebron's return. I think Kevin Love is a big boy and he can handle himself. He won't play second fiddle to James as his numbers will prove it.

Kyrie Irving, Cleveland's PG, before leaving Duke if you remember, distributed the ball to Mason Plumlee like they were born to play together. If he Irving, doesn't get a case of stupidity, just think what he'll do to get the ball to Love and get a Championship and further cement Kevin Love as one of the top 5 NBA players of all time, barring any injury.

Plus, didn't Clevleand just get whiter. I think they drafted Joe Harris out of Virginia, picked up Mike Miller and have Matthew Dellavedova, who showed he can play. I think they may have Erik Murphy, hopefully he'll make the team also. That's at least 5 of ours, with most of them getting minutes and possible 2 white starters at some point. It seems to me that Cleveland is going in the "White" direction

This could end up being the best thing that ever happened for Love. I like the idea of having a white player, the best player, white or black, in NBA winning a Championship!

Thanks for the support Carolina. Until other white players start playing like they actually believe that they are more than journeymen in a black man's league, we won't see a team go "300". Love was patient in my mind with that group.

Love, like Bird, appears mentally strong and utterly un-cowed by hyped up black ability. Likely he considers himself as good or better than Lebron. The best example he can serve to white players that would follow is to win a Championship. Other players will naturally, and rightfully, receive credit for that.

Lebron is no fool on this one subject. In style they complement each other. One opens up the other for shots and vice versa. And as much as blacks may be vexed by a team featuring a white prominently in their offense, another countervailing tendency exists as well, the competition between similar and therefore redundant types. Love's style is unique and is, theoretically, less threatening to Lebron's niche.

Lebron is mentally flawed but ironically, despite the worship he receives, ego/narcissism is not his biggest flaw (i.e. Allen Iverson, etc). He can be a coward in the clutch. Jordan looked to bear responsibility. Lebron often looks to share responsibility so that it is not always only on his shoulders. He is also acutely aware that number of Championships won (above game winning shots scored) will be one of the primary criterion upon which he will be judged. This potentially opens up collaboration with himself and Love.

Again, obviously Sparta is my preference. Ironically it was the Greek National team that proved it as a possibility and obvious, attainable goal.

Agreed...this should work out for Love nicely...he will get his props as he's built a reputation of one of the NBA's Best players! Like Carolina Speed said he'll get the Exposure too! LeBron requested him as well as Mike Miller; so I don't get why some posters here have said "he doesn't like white players"?

I don't like seeing the T-Wolves dismantled either...it's a shame they just could not stay healthy when together; whether it was injuires to Budinger; Pekovic, Rubio's knee or Love's hand, it was a frustrating short lived ride where they couldn't even reach the playoffs!

BTW Gibbon the NBA is not 85% black...it was 75 or 76% last time I checked...but know what you mean.
