Love finished the game with 36 points & 17 rebounds. It marks the eighth time Love has had at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in the same game this season. No other player in the league has done that more than once.

Guys, I'm going to make a very bold statement. Kevin Love is the best player in the NBA! He had 40 points and 19 rebounds. No one can dominate a game all around like he can. Kobe and Lebron may score a point or two more per game but Love is around 27 points on average with 14 rebounds. They can't change a game on both ends as well as he can. He rebounds on both ends of the floor, blocks shots, scores inside and out and is a descent passer. There is no way to defend him. Kobe is getting older and Lebron still has no ring despite having two all stars besides him. People need to wake up and just watch Love play more. What a incredible player. He might just be the best player on the planet. The crazy thing is that he still has upside. Wow is all I can say.

As of tonight, Lebron has 26.7 points per game to Loves 26.6 points per game. That shoud be an eye opener right there!

I agree with the coach in the article. No one in the nba is doing what Kevin Love is doing. It's really incredible how good this kid is at only 24years of age. The comparisons to Larry Bird will start in the next several years if he continues to dominate and eventually goes on to win some rings. Kevin is a better rebounder than Bird although Larry did have a career rebounding average of 10 a game which is outstanding. Bird was a better passer and still a little better leader but Kevin will get there. My only real knock on Love is that he shoots 80% at the free throw line. I would like to see him get that up to close to 90% because he would easily lead the league in scoring. I can't blame him though as he is tired as he has to carry the team almost all by himself. He also uses so many energy rebounding. I hope they can still somehow find a way to squeak into the playoffs. It will give the team much needed experience heading into next year.

One thing I'd like to see Love improve on is his shooting percentage. He's at around 45 % on the year right now and that's lower than it should be especially considering he's a power forward. He will eventually get to the 50 % range.

Kevin Love has moved up to #4 on the NBA's MVP Tracker, behind Lebron, Kevin Durant, and Kobe.
That's some very special company.
http://www.nba.com/mvp-ladder/2011-12/index.html
Just a few weeks ago, he was listed 8th or 9th.
I don't think he can win it no matter what he does. He is on a non-playoff team in a small market. But he's starting to get recognition.
Some very positive commentary from the site:
LAST WK: 37.3 ppg | 16.3 rpg | 3.3 apg
Love is clearly having one of the most impressive and staggering statistical seasons the league has seen in years. And just when you think he can't top what he's already done, he goes out and puts together a week like the one he just completed -- averaging 33.2 points, 15.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.2 steals -- complete with a 51-point, 14-rebound game with a 30-point, 21-rebound game two nights later. If this was a purely statistical argument, he'd rank among the top two or three players on this list. And to think someone (Kurt Rambis) was toying with this guy's minutes at one time.

Here's an interesting stat that shows a player's all around game - pts+rebounds+assists.
#1? Kevin Love!
But you'll never hear him mentioned in the same breath as the guys behind him - Lebron, Kobe, Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard.
The media caste system in action.

Love is the only NBA player currently in the top 5 in both PPG and RBG. He's 4th in scoring at 26.5 and 2nd in rebounding with a 14.3 avg.!

Actually Love is tied for 3rd in scoring, so that makes him in the top 3 in scoring and rebounding, quite an accomplishment!

Kevin Love is now the ranked 3rd in scoring and 1st in rebounds in the nba. He is a stud. The Twolves play the Mavs tonight so it should be a very entertaining game with Love vs Nowitzki. I will root for the Twolves but I hope Dirk has a big game. I want to see him eventually get to 30,000 career points. They have a white guy from France on the Mavs. I think his name is Mekel and he is descent. Haven't seen him play live yet. Will be watching this game closely tonight. Time for the Wolves to get on another new winning streak!

Kevin Love does it again. He scored 32 points, pulled down 15 rebounds, and dished out 8 assists. He had 7 assists at half time. It's a shame some of his teammates couldn't have scored more on his passes. It should have been a triple double but regardless he had the stat sheet stuffer of the night and will move up his scoring and rebounding averages. NO ONE IN THE NBA IS A BETTER ALL AROUND PLAYER. Not even Lebron. I call it like I see it. What Love has to do though is to lead them deep into the playoffs.

Love this guy! No pun intended. Funny how everyone said he was too "slow" to be a superstar.

K. Love in a loss last night to the Clippers, had 23 points 19 rebounds and 7 assists.

Love became the first player in history to have at least 4 3-pointers 19 rebounds and 7 assists in one game!

Pekovic, 25 points, 10 rebounds.

Speaking of Love, how does he have an 18 point 8 rebound 1st quarter performance Sunday night, only to finish with 25 and 13? Although he played minimal 2nd quarter minutes, he played a lot in the 3rd and 4th quarters. I don't know, I guess I was expecting something more after the 1st quarter numbers.

Maybe some CF members who are better basketball guys than me know an answer to this.

I get excited when I see white players with 15 plus points in one quarter of play only to be disappointed when they finish in the 20 point range. I'd like to see Love lead the league in PPG but right now Durant is almost 4 ppg ahead of him. Also, Dwight Coward is just a .1 of a rebound behind him.

Love played decently against the Clippers in a very close game. A little below his usual. He missed a tip in at the end as the clock was running down that he probably should have had. It would have tied and extended the game. You win some, you lose some. If they stay healthy, they should be very competitive this year. Love is a dynamite player.
